-Located in The Woods Resort, a private community with an 18-hole golf course (with low green fees), spa, a restaurant and pub, and miles of walking/hiking trails. It’s considered the best course in the area.
During your stay, you'll have access to the members-only Sports Center, the perfect option for a wintery or rainy day (and just a 5 min drive from the cabin). The Sports Center is members-only, but we’ve set aside complimentary guest passes just for you! Passes will be available at the property—check the house manual for details on where to get your passes.

1. The Woods Resort (distance from house - 5 min drive): a private community with an 18-hole golf course (with low green fees), spa, a restaurant and pub, and miles of walking/hiking trails. It’s considered the best course in the area, and the food is pretty great too. Be sure to check out the new enclosed dining pavilion or mobile kitchen for order-to-go! Be sure to check their website for hours.
2. Historic Downtown Berkeley Springs (distance from house - 25 mins): Charming and full of unique shops, art galleries, and locally-owned restaurants. It's a great place to spend a day browsing and exploring. Be sure to check out Berkeley Springs Antique Mall and weekend Farmer’s Market and Art Walk for unique finds.
3. Cacapon Resort State Park (distance from house - 40 mins): Hiking, picnicking, and stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains. It’s an excellent place for outdoor activities like hiking, golf, and wildlife watching. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, the park’s Cacapon Mountain trail provides an excellent hike with panoramic views.
4. Peacemaker National Training Center (distance from house - 35 mins) This facility offers shooting ranges and training programs for various skill levels.
5. Tomahawk MX (distance from house - 15 mins) This motocross track provides thrilling experiences for dirt bike enthusiasts.
6. Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area (distance from house - 10 mins) This area offers a network of trails suitable for mountain biking, including the Sleepy Creek Mountain Trail and Meadow Branch Trail, providing scenic routes through diverse terrain.
7. Poor House Farm Park (distance from house - 30 mins) This park features approximately 3.5 miles of marked trails suitable for beginner to intermediate mountain bikers, set in a picturesque environment.
