The Home
Sleeping arrangements
The dome sleeps four guests. A plush king bed occupies the main level, and a queen loft bed rises above, framed by expansive windows that invite the night sky inside. A staircase leads to the loft, making the space best suited for guests comfortable with a multi‑level interior.
Interior comforts
Heating keeps the dome cozy during chilly evenings, while air conditioning is available for milder days. WiFi, a flat‑screen TV, and a sound system support streaming, remote work, or quiet evenings in. The full indoor bathroom includes a shower and essential toiletries, allowing you to unwind without stepping back into the cold.
Kitchen & dining
A compact kitchen provides the basics for simple meals—coffee, breakfast, or a dinner cooked on the stovetop. A dining table offers space for meals, board games, or planning the next trail adventure.
Outdoor living
Your private deck extends the living area with a fire pit and BBQ grill, perfect for s’mores, grilled fare, or simply watching the stars. Outdoor seating lets you linger in the crisp air, bundled up and listening to the forest’s subtle sounds.
Property setting
Orion sits on 35 wooded acres at one of the highest points of a private retreat in Wardensville, West Virginia. Free on‑site parking is available. The dome shares the retreat with another dome about 100 feet away and a yurt over 400 feet distant, offering a sense of community while maintaining its own secluded deck and fire pit.
Neighborhood & activities
A short drive leads to hiking trails, fishing spots, and Lost River State Park. Nearby towns provide cafés, restaurants, and local shops for relaxed afternoons before returning to the dome’s warmth.
Winter travel considerations
Snow and ice may require four‑wheel drive or tire chains, and travel insurance is recommended during winter months. Refunds are not offered for road conditions beyond the host’s control.
Whether you’re stargazing from the loft, warming up by the fire pit, or simply breathing the crisp mountain air, Orion delivers a grounded seasonal escape centered on nature and quiet.
