The Home
Sleeping arrangements
The loft‑style dome sleeps up to four guests. A king bed rests on the main level, while a queen loft bed sits above, positioned for night‑sky views through expansive windows. A staircase leads to the loft, making the space best suited for guests comfortable with a multi‑level interior.
Interior comforts
Heating keeps the dome cozy during colder months, and air conditioning is available when temperatures rise. WiFi supports streaming and remote work, and a TV with a sound system offers relaxed evenings indoors. The full indoor bathroom includes a shower and bathroom essentials, and a sound machine helps ensure restful nights.
Kitchen & dining
A compact kitchen lets you brew coffee in the morning and prepare simple meals for dinner. A dining table provides space for meals, board games, or planning the next day’s adventure.
Outdoor living
Your private deck extends the living area outdoors. A fire pit becomes a natural gathering spot for s’mores and conversation, while a BBQ grill lets you cook under the open sky. Outdoor seating lets you linger as the sun sets behind the hills.
Setting & property notes
Orion sits on 35 wooded acres at one of the highest points of a private retreat in Wardensville, West Virginia. Free parking is available on the premises. The property includes one additional dome about 100 feet away and a yurt over 400 feet away, so you may see other guests, but your dome retains its own deck and fire pit for a sense of separation. A state route to the north can bring occasional road noise, especially in winter, and a sound machine is provided to aid sleep.
Area highlights
A short drive leads to hiking trails, fishing spots, and Lost River State Park. Nearby small towns offer cafés, restaurants, and local shops for relaxed afternoons before returning to the dome’s warmth.
Winter travel considerations
Snow or icy conditions may require four‑wheel drive or tire chains, and travel insurance is recommended during winter months. The host does not offer refunds for road conditions beyond their control.
