Our weekend getaway here was exactly what we expected! The house is nestled in the woods with a very private back yard. We spent most of our time in the hot tub, we definitely believe that was the best touch for this stay!

The jacuzzi was a huge hit with everyone, and all the amenities were awesome and got plenty of use. Definitely recommend this spot for a relaxing getaway!

Tony was a good and responsive host, the property was a really nice. Everything was as expected. The cellular service is really bad for about 30 out till you get there, so make sure you look at everything you need to before then. But overall we have a great stay!

This is a very peaceful and private getaway. The neighborhood is really quiet. I would suggest driving to the house during the day, the route to get there is a little scary if you’re driving at night. It is a little ways from the main town so I would recommend bringing everything you need before getting to the house. There could have been more utensils in the kitchen but overall it was a good stay and would recommend to others.

It was a quiet peaceful area my dog enjoyed it a lot! Road going in was a little scary but got used to it haha! First time in WV enjoyed it. Loved the nature saw lots of deer. Service tryed to fight me but it’s expected.

Didn’t realize this place had no cell service 20 or so minutes until you got there. We didn’t mind, but without the text with the WiFi and the lockbox code, there would have been issues since I couldn’t pull up the house manual once we got there to get the WiFi password. Also need to put in your gps directions before you leave the house because, again, no service. Loved not having service to be honest 🤣

The area was so beautiful and my kids loved seeing all the nature and wildlife. The house was a great size and a nice place to visit, while out of town. My kids really enjoyed spending time by the fire and in the hot tub. While the house was as shown and things were provided as stated, there were a few things I think would be importantly to update and fix up, for future stays. Some things to note were lights are definitely needed in back yard for safety, there were not enough towels to cover everyone for the amount of days stayed, there was not a large amount of cookware nor bowls/cups to use as we had to buy some cookware to make breakfast and dinner, appliances falling apart and not very cleaned, some areas in the home were not swept well, and the dart board was falling apart and not useable. Overall, we had a wonderful time and the kids loved the house. We enjoyed our stay and the area was immaculate. I definitely recommend this place, I just feel some updates are definitely needed

14 of us stayed at Tony’s place for 2 nights. We had a blast and really enjoyed the home! Several people enjoyed the screened in deck, fire pit, and hot tub. Only downside was we didn’t have all of the pillows and sheets we needed on day 1, but a cleaning person came the next day with what we needed for night 2. Tony was very responsive beforehand about the property, and check-in and clean-up were super easy.

Overall, this house was really great. We had plenty of room to spread out for movies, games, cooking, crafts. We also took advantage of every amenity. These included the grill, hot tub, fire pit and back yard. We utilized all spaces, patios, screened porch. Which was nice during the thunderstorms that rolled through!
When we travel, we tend to stay at the house to hang out with our group. Large spaces and options are our most important requirements. This house had everything we needed!

My friends and I loved our stay at Tony’s cabin. The house is cute and has lots of character, is well furnished with everything we needed during our stay, and is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature. The only downside was that we could not use the hot tub. When we realized there was an issue, I let Tony know and he immediately said he would try to send someone out to check on it. However, that was Sunday evening, the last night of our stay, so we figured it was unlikely the issue would be resolved in time for us to use it. I’m sure if we had noticed earlier it would have been resolved and we could have used it. Tony was very responsive and everything else went perfectly from check-in to check-out. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin is very cozy, we spent some very pleasant days with the family, the kitchen had everything we needed, the rooms were spacious, everything was clean, we did not use the jacuzzi because the weather was very cold (for next time). Important information, the nearest town is about 30 minutes away, you should bring with you everything you need such as food, water, because there is nothing nearby. Something that surprised us was the neighbor who lives right next to the cabin who was not at all friendly, we wanted to walk a little outside and the man told us that we should not walk around the area, that we should stay inside the house. Something that made us feel a little scared. The owner Tony was very attentive and always answered our concerns on time.

This is a great getaway spot for family and dogs!! We definitely enjoyed our time there. I do want to say, you will not have service when you get here and to make sure you have the lockbox information and wifi BEFORE you arrive! The place was spacious, clean, and cozy. The sofa couch in the living room, however was very worn down and sitting on it was very uncomfortable. The hot tub was a nice feature but there is a very bad smell that came from it which made us not get in. Tony was very responsive and communicated wonderfully with me. Very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The house was very clean and well taken care of otherwise! Nice and quiet woodsy area and off the grid! 🙂

Tony’s place was a real pleasure to stay at. The hot tub was amazing, with the fireplace right next by. The scenery was beautiful secluded in the mountains. We stayed for 3 nights with 10 people, everyone loved it!! Would definitely recommend to everyone, a great place to getaway and relax!!

Great mountain retreat! We were looking for a nice fall escape to the mountains and this cabin was the perfect getaway! We loved the outdoor spaces with both screened in and open decks as well as the hot tub and fire pit. The home was well appointed with basic kitchen and bath necessities. Tony was helpful and quick to respond. The cabin is most definitely up some very steep mountain roads but was very peaceful and serene. We saw numerous deer and other wildlife all around the property. The wifi was not the strongest so if it is needed for work etc, this may be problematic but if you are looking to escape and reconnect with nature–this cabin is lovely!

Very nice place overall and we had a lovely time here with almost everything being perfect, our biggest issues were with the WiFi cutting out at times which, and the hot tub not having enough water in it for more than one use. However these drawbacks don’t at all detract from our overall experience and we absolutely loved our time here and we appreciate the opportunity to have stayed in such a lovely place.

Tony is very responsive and helpful. The outdoor space is beautiful. We loved the deck, fire pit and hot tub.
However, the carpet was really dirty, we couldn’t sit on the couch as it was broken, there were no extra sheets or pillows for the sofa beds and not enough forks.

Overall we were satisfied with our stay and it suited our needs. The location was great for us as it was within 6 miles of our destination. It was also nicely secluded, which we enjoyed (especially with the dogwood trees in full bloom). The kitchen was furnished with all the basics and the house had a open concept so there was ample room to move around and visit. We especially like the screened porch which looked out on the big back yard. While we did not use the grill, hot tub, or firepit, all were inviting.

Tony was a great host! Very communicative, proactive, friendly, and responsive. The home was beautiful, and it is very peaceful and quiet. My wife and I needed a quiet getaway to relax and this was perfect. We loved hiking in Cacapon State Park. 10/10 would stay here again

Tony’s place was perfect for what we needed. Nice big and quiet, the cabin had everything we needed. The place was peaceful. The house was clean, kitchen, bathrooms, and the rooms were good. The home gives you a rustic country feeling vibe. Which, for most is the reason why they book this place to begin with. If you’re looking to disconnect from the busy life and need to disconnect Tony’s place is it.

The host was great, clear communication and easy check-in instructions provided. Very friendly host! We loved the location, big plus for us that we did not have neighbors very close. Plenty of parking. Another great benefit is that the house is super dog friendly! The dog loved the deck which connects to a screened in porch overlooking woods. There were many beds, but not many actual traditional bedrooms. The house could use some renovations and modern updates but for a group looking for a casual place for a group to stay in nature this is a great option.

Good place to be away for a few days. Place is well described in the listing and Tony is a very responsive and proactive host. We only wish we knew in advance that the area is a preferred location for hunting. So we didn’t feel to safe to venture outside of the house, plus we were wake up early with the noise of their fire arms. WiFi service was unavailable for a significant portion of our trip which was a considerable issue for our group.

Tony’s place offered us exactly what we came for – a relaxing and secluded getaway in a beautiful woodsy setting. It was our first time in West Virginia and we were pleasantly surprised by the location of the nearby town. Tony’s house was a close drive to Berkeley Springs which had a good selection of restaurants and quaint shops. We had an overall pleasant experience during our stay at Tony’s.

Overall, the rental was great and our group enjoyed it. From the quiet surroundings to the warm fire pit there was a lot of peace. If you have a bigger group you should bring your own pot or pan (that’s what we did in case). The only downside was the attentiveness on the cleanliness of one particular room where an unsanitary object was found. But other than that the rental was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Also very close to Prospect peak and Berkeley springs town.

Overall, our stay here at Great Cacapon was nice. There was plenty of space for our gathering and the kitchen and living areas were clean. The laundry wasn’t the cleanest but it worked well, there is a smell when you walk into the house and basement, but there’s not much you can do about it since it’s likely just old wood and you get used to it pretty fast. There are plenty of beds but not many rooms with doors, so just be aware of that, it was no issue for us during our stay. There’s a lot of nice scenic wood area in the backyard and the hot tub worked well for us. I would advise the host to please, please, find a Visible marking to show the house address number. It’s extremely difficult to see in the dark, and the gps doesn’t show an accurate location of the house. I did receive a lot of messages from the host during our stay that got a bit excessive and random but overall if you decide to book Tony’s place, you’ll have a nice time 🙂

We had a fantastic visit! The house is an easy distance from Berkeley Springs, so we found plenty of fun local spots to explore. Since the house is so lovely and cozy, we also enjoyed plenty of downtime simply hanging out. (My absolute favorite spot was the screened in porch with the beautiful view!)

A group of fourteen of us came to Tony’s cabin looking for a restful few days after working with teens at a camp all summer. We were all pretty burnt out, and this cabin was perfect for relaxing!! I was honestly surprised that there were places for all of us to have alone time or smaller group time despite how large our total group was. The screened back porch with table and benches was a favorite spot, and the side porch, and the huge basement porch and hot tub. The whole cabin was incredibly clean (and I have been to many airbnbs in the past), and the pots and pans and dishes all looked new. Even the screened back porch, which had carpet, was super clean and we all felt comfortable sitting on the floor out there, which was impressive given that it was outdoors. As someone super careful of bed bugs, I checked all the bedding down to the mattresses, and was super impressed with how pristine all the layers of bedding were. Overall a great stay, thank you so much, Tony!

This is a well-appointed cabin located in the scenic mountains of Great Cacapon, WV away from the bustle of city life. We liked the location with its quiet, mountain setting and beautiful views. Its spacious enough to accommodate 15 guests and allows small pet dogs, which worked out perfectly for us. We spent a lot of time relaxing, chatting and enjoying a drink sitting around the fire-pit and the deck that’s on 2 levels. The sun room is a great place to relax as well with the shade and cool breeze coming through. The kids used the hot tub and had a blast- its ideal for cooler fall weather. We also enjoyed visiting Great Cacapon state park located nearby. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, though we would have preferred a few bigger utensils that would hold enough for 15 people- specially because our group did a lot of cooking and eating.
Tony is a wonderful host and very responsive over text messages.
There were a few minor issues, but overall it was a great experience.

tried to cancel on us 2 hours before our check in and roads and driveway were not cleaned up or safe to drive on, house’s heating barely worked and cleaning services did not arrive before our check in, house was ok, amenities worked fine, just very unprofessional and left a dissatisfied taste

Nice stay, WiFi is particularly slow and certain TV streaming apps don’t work. House was clean except for pots and pans and certain areas in the basement contained unknown dirt/grime. Tony was kind and attempted to help with issues to the best of his abilities. Worth the price!

I rarely write bade reviews, but I was truly appalled at this booking. There is no mountain view from the cabin for starters. There were no hangers provided as stated. The hot water ran out quite fast and we were a family of seven. The upstairs fireplace requires pellets and firewood fyi so since we had no way of knowing we couldn’t use it. The house manual was a joke. It didn’t explain anything of importance. The flashlights didn’t work and neither did the ice maker. The worst part of it all they did not pay the WiFi bill. They kept saying they were going to sort it out. However, no one ever picked up my call. I had to drive to the city which is actually 30 minutes not 20 minutes away as stated just to make calls and do some work. My partner, best friend and I all work from home and couldn’t access WiFi at all. We spent our Christmas with no access to Christmas movies or Christmas football or basketball. They seemed unconcerned about paying the bill and only giving empty promises

Tony's place was a real pleasure to stay at. The hot tub was amazing, with the fireplace right next by. The scenery was beautiful secluded in the mountains. We stayed for 3 nights with 10 people, everyone loved it!! Would definitely recommend to everyone, a great place to getaway and relax!!

Great mountain retreat! We were looking for a nice fall escape to the mountains and this cabin was the perfect getaway! We loved the outdoor spaces with both screened in and open decks as well as the hot tub and fire pit. The home was well appointed with basic kitchen and bath necessities. Tony was helpful and quick to respond. The cabin is most definitely up some very steep mountain roads but was very peaceful and serene. We saw numerous deer and other wildlife all around the property. The wifi was not the strongest so if it is needed for work etc, this may be problematic but if you are looking to escape and reconnect with nature--this cabin is lovely!

Very nice place overall and we had a lovely time here with almost everything being perfect, our biggest issues were with the WiFi cutting out at times which, and the hot tub not having enough water in it for more than one use. However these drawbacks don’t at all detract from our overall experience and we absolutely loved our time here and we appreciate the opportunity to have stayed in such a lovely place.

The Host was extremely kind and helpful. The house was great for a large group. Unfortunately it seemed the neighbors hated that their neighboring house is an airbnb. The first night we were contacted numerous times in regard to our noise (which they monitor through a decibel reader) and were even told they contacted the authorities. It was an understandable situation and we agreed we would quiet down. The next day we were in the yard playing cornhole and hanging out having conversations, not yelling. And were once again contacted because a neighbor could hear us. It was very annoying to deal with and when I booked a place in the woods to hang out at I did not expect to have to be quiet during the day. Overall it was nice place to stay but if you are thinking of bringing a large group which this house holds, I wouldn’t. I can’t imagine if you had kids running around in the yard playing and having to tell them they can’t play on a trip because the neighbors are complaining.

Tony is very responsive and helpful. The outdoor space is beautiful. We loved the deck, fire pit and hot tub.
However, the carpet was really dirty, we couldn’t sit on the couch as it was broken, there were no extra sheets or pillows for the sofa beds and not enough forks.

Tony was very responsive/positive from beginning to end and tried to resolve some of the below issues within a day. The manual was easy to follow for check-out info. The rental was easy to find/ in a private area.
spindles are missing from the staircases and others are loose, posing a danger as we had young children present. There is loose screening in the screened in porch area. The deck railing was loose. Dirty walls, Carpeting was stained in every spot in the common area which is the first thing you see. All of these were issues *due to young children/babies being present.*We were not able to let our guard down or take shoes off the entire time.There was a brown/red substance on the mattress in the pull out sofa in the basement. The other pull out sofa didn’t have a sheet, and no linens (pillows or a comforter) were available for either. Nails sticking out where carpet meets hard floor (kitchen) - toddler stepped on.
Some work is needed but it does have a lot of potential!

Me encanto, es una cabaña muy acogedora excelente para ir con amigos o familia. Cuenta con todos los utensilios (excepto que no tienen licuadora) El Hot tube y la fogata fueron mi parte favorita. Si Dios nos permite regresaremos 🙏🏻☺️ BTW Tony is a great host.

Overall we were satisfied with our stay and it suited our needs. The location was great for us as it was within 6 miles of our destination. It was also nicely secluded, which we enjoyed (especially with the dogwood trees in full bloom). The kitchen was furnished with all the basics and the house had a open concept so there was ample room to move around and visit. We especially like the screened porch which looked out on the big back yard. While we did not use the grill, hot tub, or firepit, all were inviting.

Tony was a great host! Very communicative, proactive, friendly, and responsive. The home was beautiful, and it is very peaceful and quiet. My wife and I needed a quiet getaway to relax and this was perfect. We loved hiking in Cacapon State Park. 10/10 would stay here again

This was my second time staying in this place. Place is not hard to find, location is very peaceful, calm, and spacious. The house has everything we need and plenty of room for my family members and I to get around. Thank you again Tony for a great stay.

Tony’s place was perfect for what we needed. Nice big and quiet, the cabin had everything we needed. The place was peaceful. The house was clean, kitchen, bathrooms, and the rooms were good. The home gives you a rustic country feeling vibe. Which, for most is the reason why they book this place to begin with. If you’re looking to disconnect from the busy life and need to disconnect Tony’s place is it.

My family and I stayed at Tony’s Place for Christmas. Tony communicated effectively. The pictures match how it looks inside. Our only issue was the stove. It’s a little outdated which caused us to overcook a lot of the food. More blankets would have been appreciated. There was only 1 tv in the whole cabin. We had children with us so it would’ve been nice to have more than one tv. Other than that the stay was a good one.

The host was great, clear communication and easy check-in instructions provided. Very friendly host! We loved the location, big plus for us that we did not have neighbors very close. Plenty of parking. Another great benefit is that the house is super dog friendly! The dog loved the deck which connects to a screened in porch overlooking woods. There were many beds, but not many actual traditional bedrooms. The house could use some renovations and modern updates but for a group looking for a casual place for a group to stay in nature this is a great option.

Good place to be away for a few days. Place is well described in the listing and Tony is a very responsive and proactive host. We only wish we knew in advance that the area is a preferred location for hunting. So we didn't feel to safe to venture outside of the house, plus we were wake up early with the noise of their fire arms. WiFi service was unavailable for a significant portion of our trip which was a considerable issue for our group.

Tony’s place offered us exactly what we came for - a relaxing and secluded getaway in a beautiful woodsy setting. It was our first time in West Virginia and we were pleasantly surprised by the location of the nearby town. Tony’s house was a close drive to Berkeley Springs which had a good selection of restaurants and quaint shops. We had an overall pleasant experience during our stay at Tony’s.

Went here with a few friends for friendsgiving and it was awesome! Great big space and surrounded by nature, the place was cozy and comfortable definitely recommend! our host was super friendly and helpful ☺️

Overall, the rental was great and our group enjoyed it. From the quiet surroundings to the warm fire pit there was a lot of peace. If you have a bigger group you should bring your own pot or pan (that’s what we did in case). The only downside was the attentiveness on the cleanliness of one particular room where an unsanitary object was found. But other than that the rental was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Also very close to Prospect peak and Berkeley springs town.

Overall, our stay here at Great Cacapon was nice. There was plenty of space for our gathering and the kitchen and living areas were clean. The laundry wasn’t the cleanest but it worked well, there is a smell when you walk into the house and basement, but there’s not much you can do about it since it’s likely just old wood and you get used to it pretty fast. There are plenty of beds but not many rooms with doors, so just be aware of that, it was no issue for us during our stay. There’s a lot of nice scenic wood area in the backyard and the hot tub worked well for us. I would advise the host to please, please, find a Visible marking to show the house address number. It’s extremely difficult to see in the dark, and the gps doesn’t show an accurate location of the house. I did receive a lot of messages from the host during our stay that got a bit excessive and random but overall if you decide to book Tony’s place, you’ll have a nice time 🙂

Tony’s cabin was a good place to stay as a group. There were a few things that stood out, as the pictures didn’t exactly match the house. The pictures showed a stainless steel fridge and it actually has an older white fridge. The kitchen was usable, we found we didn’t have too many cooking utensils or bigger pots/pans for the amount of people we had. The outside is nice, could use a bit of a landscaping makeover though. Overall the house did meet our needs and we had a good time with our group of 12, it just wasn’t exactly what was pictured.
My word of advice is to bring plastic ware and pots/pans if you’re cooking for a crowd.

Tony's place is great for a staycation, make sure you bring everything you need in the kitchen though, cooking tools left something to be desired. There are only two actual bedrooms, one with an outside glass door to the deck with no window covering. The loft has two queens and a bathroom, so great for kids or family. The basement has a queen and twin and on the other side of the stairs is a pull-out couch. There is a basement room - a weird workshop that has an external door that is only closed with a 2x4 across it and was not very securely attached to the wall. This felt odd. The A/C worked very well in the basement and loft. The main floor had to compete with the oven when cooking. The lawn was not well maintained - a pond was sitting with plants growing in it and koi sculptures had fallen ajar. There was a round circle of rocks with a stump and a bear sculpture on its side, it looked like at one point it was adorable. All plants overgrown.

We had a fantastic visit! The house is an easy distance from Berkeley Springs, so we found plenty of fun local spots to explore. Since the house is so lovely and cozy, we also enjoyed plenty of downtime simply hanging out. (My absolute favorite spot was the screened in porch with the beautiful view!)

Hot tub area was very dirty, BBQ area dirty, propane cylinders empty, caps shows new, but not, no body would help after hours. I found rotten dead cat, but nobody could clean up before the checkout time next morning of staying.

Tony does not care if your trip is your Disneyland of Airbnb stays or an excursion to Satan’s personal toilet. All they care about is your money.
House manual is gated behind a separate website asking for personal information. No cell service at all and subpar wifi. House is NOT easy to locate via GPS. House is littered with stains and discolored carpet. Basement is disgusting. Unfinished room, thick with humidity and reeking of mildew. In fear of mold, three beds and bathroom were considered unsustainable for our trip. Shower broke, flooding the bathroom on second day and technician, oddly, came with a young child in tow. Solution was to cut shower off for remainder of trip. Last remaining bathroom did not have working faucet handle, so freezing or boiling showers only. Refrigerator in picture is misleading. Actual fridge is old, white, w/o a water dispenser. Listing states up to 15 guests but fridge could not maintain our food for 10. Any attempts to reach Tony since have failed.

The cabin was nestled in a wooded area with houses around but you wouldn’t know it. Very relaxing and comfortable. Great screened in porch and fire pit area. Communication with Tony was easy and responses were quick.

A group of fourteen of us came to Tony's cabin looking for a restful few days after working with teens at a camp all summer. We were all pretty burnt out, and this cabin was perfect for relaxing!! I was honestly surprised that there were places for all of us to have alone time or smaller group time despite how large our total group was. The screened back porch with table and benches was a favorite spot, and the side porch, and the huge basement porch and hot tub. The whole cabin was incredibly clean (and I have been to many airbnbs in the past), and the pots and pans and dishes all looked new. Even the screened back porch, which had carpet, was super clean and we all felt comfortable sitting on the floor out there, which was impressive given that it was outdoors. As someone super careful of bed bugs, I checked all the bedding down to the mattresses, and was super impressed with how pristine all the layers of bedding were. Overall a great stay, thank you so much, Tony!

It’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Great views all around. Very peaceful place. It Might be a little hard to get signal. Overall a great experience and I enjoyed my time there and is definitely a highlight for my summer.

This is a well-appointed cabin located in the scenic mountains of Great Cacapon, WV away from the bustle of city life. We liked the location with its quiet, mountain setting and beautiful views. Its spacious enough to accommodate 15 guests and allows small pet dogs, which worked out perfectly for us. We spent a lot of time relaxing, chatting and enjoying a drink sitting around the fire-pit and the deck that's on 2 levels. The sun room is a great place to relax as well with the shade and cool breeze coming through. The kids used the hot tub and had a blast- its ideal for cooler fall weather. We also enjoyed visiting Great Cacapon state park located nearby. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, though we would have preferred a few bigger utensils that would hold enough for 15 people- specially because our group did a lot of cooking and eating.
Tony is a wonderful host and very responsive over text messages.
There were a few minor issues, but overall it was a great experience.

We had a great time at Tony’s place. It was peaceful and secluded and just as described! The place was clean and had everything we needed - especially the hottub! We loved relaxing and playing games during our stay!

What a wonderful, peaceful stay! We had such a nice time here. The hot tub and fire pit were both great. The house was clean, enough space for our group of 5, and very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!
