Plenty of seating (inside and out) for a family fun game night and parking for the whole group. Outside you’ll enjoy a spacious deck and grill - perfect for the grillmaster in your group. Beyond the chalet itself, we love how close to everything we are -- particularly the on-site community where you’ll have access to tennis courts, basketball court, a rec field and community hot tub and pool area (hot tub and pool open Memorial Day-Labor Day).
Great Cacapon State Park and the historic town of Berkeley Springs are both just a short drive away. The park is free to enter and has miles of hiking trails, a beach and small lake, golf course, horse stables, and a clay shooting range. The town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US; the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint!
At Dandelion Lodge, you're in a beautiful area of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, surrounded by scenic nature, historic attractions, and outdoor activities. Here are some great things to do nearby:
1. Coolfont Resort (distance from house - less than 1 mile): A relaxing atmosphere and opportunities for hiking and enjoying nature. 4. Cacapon Resort State Park (distance from house - 10 mins): Hiking, picnicking, and stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains. It’s an excellent place for outdoor activities like hiking, golf, and wildlife watching. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, the park’s Cacapon Mountain trail provides an excellent hike with panoramic views.
5. The Ice House (distance from house - 10 mins): A local arts center that features art galleries, performances, and workshops. It's a great spot to view works by local artists and see community events.
