Our trip started out with a bit of a rocky start as the refrigerator didn’t work upon check-in. However, Tony was quick to communicate the problem with us as well as off us a fair solution as well as replace the refrigerator as soon as possible. From that point on we had a great rest of our stay and truly enjoyed Tony’s property. The hot tub was wonderful and we enjoyed having a nice big space we could all gather in. Would absolutely stay again and we truly appreciate Tony’s response to and uncomfortable situation!

Nice place, easy to get to, looked like the pictures. There was not a great smell but I opened the doors for fresh air and it seemed to subside. Tony was responsive and helpful. Overall I had a good experience

great little cabin in the woods, though as others have said it is not as secluded as it may appear in pictures, it is part of a neighborhood so if you’re looking for privacy in that regard, this isn’t the place. that being said it was very peaceful, wildlife was around the cabin like packs of deer and squirrels, very quiet area. the beds are a little hard, they are memory foam i think and don’t flex very much. nearby hiking at devils nose was amazing, the view at the end is well worth the uphill climb and rocky in parts terrain. overall really enjoyed our time here!

Tony was a great host and accepted our last minute sane day reservation after 6pm! His space was a great value and very cute. We loved the hot tub. We would certainly stay again!

This was a great place to relax for a few days. The hot tub was perfect, the environment was beautiful, and the kitchen was well equipped. The one thing I would note, like other reviewers have, is that the cabin is not quite as isolated as the pictures make it seem. There are several neighbors that are easily visible; this is not an issue at all, but is good to be aware of when booking.

We loved our time here!! The hope was that we could get away for a two night trip celebrating my birthday with a peaceful, serene, nature-filled environment, and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It was MORE than we expected…the pictures and descriptions in the profile are all accurate–the hot tub and fire pit are super nice, and the living room with a fire in the evening was sublime. Tony was helpful and communicative, and made of feel well taken care of. We highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. A lot of wildlife, which I can appreciate. My only complaint would be the bathtub is REALLY slippery and is kinda dangerous. But overall, I had a good experience.

Only complaint is the posting gives the impression that it’s really secluded, but several houses can be seen from the property and are within hearing distance. Other than that, the place was clean and very affordable with the discounted price, and the hot tub and outdoor areas were fabulous. Inside was worth the price. Had a lovely time here!

We had a nice quick getaway for a birthday. Tony was great and responsive before and while we were there. The cabin was clean and cozy. We liked having the lights on while we sat in the jacuzzi on a cold evening
Just a few things- it’s not as secluded as the pictures look but we got to watch deer walk around while enjoying the hot tub. Make sure to bring a lighter to light your firewood. Bring a cozy blanket for the couch and some games to play.
Check out is at 10am but we paid to upgrade to a later checkout which allowed us to enjoy our morning and not feel rushed.
Also if you love cheap drinks, food and playing pool go to Hillbilly Heaven

We came for a little weekend getaway for our anniversary and it was wonderful! The house was perfect for the two of us. We loved being able to use the hot tub and fire place, especially in the snow!

This cabin was very clean and had some great features, like the fireplace and hot tub. Our only real complaint was one of the neighbors dogs wouldn’t shut up at like 6am, but that’s not Tony’s fault at all.

Had a wonderful stay! What a great way to end 2024 and begin a new year surrounded by nature, peace and quiet in a cozy cabin. We truly enjoyed the fire place.

Very comfortable and cozy cabin with all the essentials you’ll need plus two great perks: the jacuzzi and fire pit. No firewood provided though, so make sure you bring some seasoned firewood, along with smaller dry wood or twigs for kindling and some newspaper for tinder to make starting a fire easier. Not as remote and isolated as pictures show; there are other cabins/homes nearby.
Pros:
– Cozy cabin with comfortable beds and seating
– Close distance (20-30 minute drive) to grocery stores, restaurants, and breweries.
– Shepherdstown is a beautiful town nearby with quaint stores, a couple of lovely restaurants and cafes, and a great record store. Harpers Ferry also a must-visit.
Cons (minor):
– Jacuzzi only produced consistent bubbles from one of four corner seats.
– Some listed items were missing, like the hair dryer. Also, no barbecue tools for the grill.
– Check-out is 10AM – too early for me, but might not be a problem for you if you’re an early riser.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay with Tony! We are big foodies and it was well stocked with cookware, and the grill was great for steaks! Hot tub was so nice and quiet. Linens were super clean and smelled nice. Make sure if it’s snowy when you’re traveling to try and bring your AW drive. We ran into some snowy/icy steep hills right as snow was melting and refreezing which made it difficult to reach the house once in the neighborhood. Neighborhood was super peaceful and there were a ton of friendly people. We would definitely stay again for a relaxing cabin weekend!

Tony’s cabin was comfortable and cozy,including a comfortable bed. I did notice a slight pet odor. A couple of tweaks could make it even better, like making the tub less slippery. Check in is 4 p.m. and check out is 10 a.m., FYI. The cabin is in a pleasant wooded neighborhood.

The Blue Owl Retreat was great for our quiet getaway. The hot tub was relaxing, the indoor fireplace was cozy and the place was overall comfortable. We had a bit of an issue thanks to a storm that blew through before our arrival, but Tony and the team had it fixed in a timely manner so it didn’t affect our stay much!

The cabin was super comfortable, I loved reading through the guest book and seeing where everyone has visited from and their stories. Being able to sit by the fireplace and enjoy a movie after soaking in the hot tub was definitely something that’ll bring me back! In the mornings you can sit on the deck and watch all the different birds and deer, it was so peaceful. The host was also very helpful and responsive I definitely recommend this cabin for a getaway!

Tony’s place was great. It had a nice hottub that was ready the moment we got to the cabin. Everything was great! the only thing we kinda did not like was the check out, it was at 10am.. so if you are booking for one night, you dont have a lot of time to enjoy the cabin. Aside from that, everything was great

We very much enjoyed our stay. Tony was friendly and responsive. My daughter and I were looking for a peaceful place to get away from our busy lives for the weekend, and Tony’s home was quiet and cozy. We loved seeing the deer walk through the yard in the evenings. Would definitely visit again.

I went for 3 days with my partner and it was such a good time! The instructions on how to get in were super clear and straight to the point! We had plenty of room to park! We loved how cozy and clean the cabin was! Another perk was the huge tv in the living area, made for a great movie night! We also loved having a kitchen and a grill to cook!The owner of the cabin was very responsive and friendly! 100/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a few days and I will definitely book again in the near future!

We loved our stay! Tony was extremely responsive and helpful. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We found so many fun things to do around the area and spent a few relaxing days just hanging around the house as well. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, yard games, and found a great spot to hang up our hammock. We would highly recommend this house and location to anyone. Definitely 5 stars.

We enjoyed our little getaway! The location struck the right balance between peaceful but not too remote and the cabin was nicely furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nice open living room / kitchen space and spacious terrace. Bathroom and kitchen are on the older side, but everything was clean and comfortable. Great location for day trips in the area – we were traveling with a baby and with hot weather opted for skipping the hikes, but enjoyed strolling around Berkeley Springs and exploring Harpers Ferry!

Tony was very welcoming and informative from beginning to end, and the cabin was very enjoyable, cozy and in a great location near a national park + very near to Devils Nose trekking trail (medium/steep/humid), hot tub worked perfectly so that saved the fact that many bugs fall down to the tub cover and some get in the water, suggest to clean it right when you arrive so it can be ready for later in your stay

Nice private cabin in the woods. We enjoyed our stay, even though we were just there for a quick overnight visit. We cooked our dinner on the gas grill, took a walk down to the lake, and caught a movie on Netflix. Most everything you need for an enjoyable stay is provided, and we had a nice time. Tony is good at communications, so the visit went very smooth.

My husband and I spent three days here and had a great time! It’s very clean and cozy. Host was very responsive and checking in was extremely easy. We were able to really get a break from the city and spend a relaxing weekend away. Great distillery and breweries nearby as well as access to fun hiking spots. Definitely would book again!

My husband and I had a wonder few days of relaxation in this little cabin in the woods! It reminded us of our first home. We were able to get away from our busy lives and just enjoy each other and God’s beautiful creation. We saw 12 deer out the back our first night! It rained the rest of our stay but we enjoyed the cabin and the hot tub!
The cabin was just as described. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable! We have no complaints about our stay! It is probably one of the best and easiest stays we have had through AirBnb!

Great stay! Used the hot tub, grill, and fireplace. Definitely take advantage of the devils nose trail if you enjoy hiking. It is a stunning trail with lots of unique views. We also traveled to Harper’s Ferry which was an easy 50 minute drive down the road. We cooked in during our visit, so make sure you bring the essentials (oil, spices, foil, etc) but there is a grocery store close by to stock up before you settle in. The hot tub is very nice! One of the cleanest we’ve been in! Over excellent stay.

This is a well-appointed, very clean cabin with modern decor. Sheets and towels were soft and immaculately clean. The host was proactive, responsive, and kind. Instructions are crystal clear and we had everything we needed, and more.
Note that the cabin is not entirely private, and that other homes are in earshot and clear view when you’re outside (including the hot tub). If you want a solitary getaway in the woods, you would need to choose something more remote.

We had a very nice time at Tony’s cabin. Tony was an excellent communicator and checked on us several times. The cabin is quaint and cozy; the living room was a great place to snuggle up on the couch and watch movies at night on the smart tv. The bathroom and kitchen are a bit dated (tub leaks a bit, no dishwasher), but it was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. I will also say the shower had great water pressure, nice and relaxing! We had a great long weekend 🙂

We enjoyed a couple days here for our anniversary. The cabin is a little outdated and no dishwasher. Really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace with bundles of wood available for purchase on drive in. Wished the hot tub was on deck or closer, was longer walk in colder temps. Blinds were broken and ceiling fan didn’t work (with inch of dust). Found so much hair and pet hair on the bed, pillows and in the tub. The beds were made but linens were dirty. Just wanted to offer feedback for future as we could love to come back as we enjoyed ourselves. Offered ample kitchen equipment and the grill was great!

We had a great weekend getaway at Tony’s cabin! The location was conveniently located from the city, with amenities exactly as described – hot tub, fast wifi, games, a deck, an indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. It snowed and the surroundings were just so beautiful, but the roads were also cleaned the next day. There are hikes and parks nearby, and the community felt very friendly. The cabin was clean, with fresh linens and comfortable beds and seating area. Highly recommend this cozy nook!

Neighborhood was super peaceful and there were a ton of friendly people. We would definitely stay again for a relaxing cabin weekend!

Tony's cabin was comfortable and cozy,including a comfortable bed. I did notice a slight pet odor. A couple of tweaks could make it even better, like making the tub less slippery. Check in is 4 p.m. and check out is 10 a.m., FYI. The cabin is in a pleasant wooded neighborhood.

The Blue Owl Retreat was great for our quiet getaway. The hot tub was relaxing, the indoor fireplace was cozy and the place was overall comfortable. We had a bit of an issue thanks to a storm that blew through before our arrival, but Tony and the team had it fixed in a timely manner so it didn’t affect our stay much!

The cabin was super comfortable, I loved reading through the guest book and seeing where everyone has visited from and their stories. Being able to sit by the fireplace and enjoy a movie after soaking in the hot tub was definitely something that’ll bring me back! In the mornings you can sit on the deck and watch all the different birds and deer, it was so peaceful. The host was also very helpful and responsive I definitely recommend this cabin for a getaway!

Tony's place was great. It had a nice hottub that was ready the moment we got to the cabin. Everything was great! the only thing we kinda did not like was the check out, it was at 10am.. so if you are booking for one night, you dont have a lot of time to enjoy the cabin. Aside from that, everything was great

We very much enjoyed our stay. Tony was friendly and responsive. My daughter and I were looking for a peaceful place to get away from our busy lives for the weekend, and Tony's home was quiet and cozy. We loved seeing the deer walk through the yard in the evenings. Would definitely visit again.

I went for 3 days with my partner and it was such a good time! The instructions on how to get in were super clear and straight to the point! We had plenty of room to park! We loved how cozy and clean the cabin was! Another perk was the huge tv in the living area, made for a great movie night! We also loved having a kitchen and a grill to cook!The owner of the cabin was very responsive and friendly! 100/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a few days and I will definitely book again in the near future!

We loved our stay! Tony was extremely responsive and helpful. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We found so many fun things to do around the area and spent a few relaxing days just hanging around the house as well. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, yard games, and found a great spot to hang up our hammock. We would highly recommend this house and location to anyone. Definitely 5 stars.

We enjoyed our little getaway! The location struck the right balance between peaceful but not too remote and the cabin was nicely furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nice open living room / kitchen space and spacious terrace. Bathroom and kitchen are on the older side, but everything was clean and comfortable. Great location for day trips in the area - we were traveling with a baby and with hot weather opted for skipping the hikes, but enjoyed strolling around Berkeley Springs and exploring Harpers Ferry!

Tony was a fantastic host and his cabin was beautiful. Did not get a chance to enjoy the hot tub or fire pit, but only because there was so much to do around us. The place was peaceful and the surroundings and wildlife are beautiful. Super clean and inviting. Thanks so much for having us Tony, we’ll be back!

Tony was very welcoming and informative from beginning to end, and the cabin was very enjoyable, cozy and in a great location near a national park + very near to Devils Nose trekking trail (medium/steep/humid), hot tub worked perfectly so that saved the fact that many bugs fall down to the tub cover and some get in the water, suggest to clean it right when you arrive so it can be ready for later in your stay

Nice private cabin in the woods. We enjoyed our stay, even though we were just there for a quick overnight visit. We cooked our dinner on the gas grill, took a walk down to the lake, and caught a movie on Netflix. Most everything you need for an enjoyable stay is provided, and we had a nice time. Tony is good at communications, so the visit went very smooth.

My husband and I spent three days here and had a great time! It's very clean and cozy. Host was very responsive and checking in was extremely easy. We were able to really get a break from the city and spend a relaxing weekend away. Great distillery and breweries nearby as well as access to fun hiking spots. Definitely would book again!

My husband and I had a wonder few days of relaxation in this little cabin in the woods! It reminded us of our first home. We were able to get away from our busy lives and just enjoy each other and God’s beautiful creation. We saw 12 deer out the back our first night! It rained the rest of our stay but we enjoyed the cabin and the hot tub!
The cabin was just as described. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable! We have no complaints about our stay! It is probably one of the best and easiest stays we have had through AirBnb!

Great stay! Used the hot tub, grill, and fireplace. Definitely take advantage of the devils nose trail if you enjoy hiking. It is a stunning trail with lots of unique views. We also traveled to Harper’s Ferry which was an easy 50 minute drive down the road. We cooked in during our visit, so make sure you bring the essentials (oil, spices, foil, etc) but there is a grocery store close by to stock up before you settle in. The hot tub is very nice! One of the cleanest we’ve been in! Over excellent stay.

The cabin was as described. Very peaceful and relaxing. The fire place and hot tub were our favorite. We loved sitting on the covered porch and watching the birds too!

This is a well-appointed, very clean cabin with modern decor. Sheets and towels were soft and immaculately clean. The host was proactive, responsive, and kind. Instructions are crystal clear and we had everything we needed, and more.
Note that the cabin is not entirely private, and that other homes are in earshot and clear view when you’re outside (including the hot tub). If you want a solitary getaway in the woods, you would need to choose something more remote.

We had a very nice time at Tony’s cabin. Tony was an excellent communicator and checked on us several times. The cabin is quaint and cozy; the living room was a great place to snuggle up on the couch and watch movies at night on the smart tv. The bathroom and kitchen are a bit dated (tub leaks a bit, no dishwasher), but it was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. I will also say the shower had great water pressure, nice and relaxing! We had a great long weekend 🙂

We enjoyed a couple days here for our anniversary. The cabin is a little outdated and no dishwasher. Really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace with bundles of wood available for purchase on drive in. Wished the hot tub was on deck or closer, was longer walk in colder temps. Blinds were broken and ceiling fan didn’t work (with inch of dust). Found so much hair and pet hair on the bed, pillows and in the tub. The beds were made but linens were dirty. Just wanted to offer feedback for future as we could love to come back as we enjoyed ourselves. Offered ample kitchen equipment and the grill was great!

We had a great weekend getaway at Tony’s cabin! The location was conveniently located from the city, with amenities exactly as described - hot tub, fast wifi, games, a deck, an indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. It snowed and the surroundings were just so beautiful, but the roads were also cleaned the next day. There are hikes and parks nearby, and the community felt very friendly. The cabin was clean, with fresh linens and comfortable beds and seating area. Highly recommend this cozy nook!
