Positive: Great place. Comfortable beds. Amazing view. Modern renovation. Negative: On our 3rd day the Booking staff told my wife we’d have to vacate the premises immediately, because we had a dog. The dog was discussed and paid for prior to our stay. It was just a mixup, but also upset my wife. It was highly unnecessary interaction

Beautiful home & gorgeous location! Hosts are very responsive. The only thing that’s tricky is getting there once you’re close. The hosts will make sure you get there!!

The Home

The mountain air fills your lungs as you step onto the wrap‑around deck, the Appalachian foothills stretching out in every direction. Hummingbirds flit near the railing while the Cacapon River glints just a minute away, inviting you to dip your toes or launch a kayak. At sunset the sky deepens, and the Milky Way unfurls above the hot tub, turning the night into a private observatory. Here, the pace slows and the view becomes the centerpiece of every moment.

Sleeping arrangements
- Primary King Suite: king bed, custom oversized twin Book Nook, private deck, ensuite with his & hers sinks and stone walk‑in shower, washer/dryer in the suite.
- King Guest Bedroom: plush king bed, large closet, full bathroom just outside the door.
- Lower Level: two queen beds, ensuite bathroom with walk‑in shower, direct walk‑out to the yard and fire pit.

Kitchen & dining
The chef‑ready kitchen features a large stove/oven, full fridge, dishwasher, coffee station with coffee, tea, sugar and syrups, and a complete set of spices, cooking oil, cookware and servingware. Indoor and outdoor dish sets are kid‑friendly, and the island offers bar stools while the dining table seats the whole group.

Living spaces
An open‑concept living room frames the panoramic mountain views through huge windows, with cozy seating, board games, a guitar, a Smart TV and fast fiber Wi‑Fi for work or play.

Outdoor living
The expansive deck wraps around the home, providing multiple seating options, an outdoor sectional, a large dining table and a hot tub that overlooks the peaks. A gazebo nestled in the woods offers a quiet spot for reading, while the fire pit invites s’mores under the stars. Private river access lets you fish for bluegills, kayak, tube or simply enjoy the river “beach” with the kids.

Neighborhood & activities
Located in Great Cacapon, West Virginia, the retreat is a short 20‑25‑minute drive to the charming town of Berkeley Springs, known for its historic hot springs, farmer’s market, art scene and a range of dining options from Dori’s Deli to The Naked Olive. The Paw Paw Tunnel is 20 minutes away for a scenic walk or bike ride. Cacapon Resort State Park, 50 minutes distant, offers hiking, biking, fishing, golf, swimming and horseback riding.
