The Home
The cabin includes:
- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing
- 2 bedrooms, both with queen-size beds + a sleeper sofa in the living room + futon in the den
- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven and microwave
- Wood stove to keep you cozy at night
- AC units to keep you comfortable in the warm summer months
- Outside fire pit with Adirondack chairs for the whole gang
Our cabin also has private access to Sleepy Creek, just a quick 15 min walk from the cabin. It's a shallow creek most of the year, but great for cooling off in the summer and for the kids to hunt frogs and crawfish. 🙂
One quick note: our cabin is secluded, and without cell service. We love disconnecting from the world while we're there and putting away our smart phones, but please plan accordingly. That said, we have plenty of board games, outdoor games, and the hot tub to enjoy!
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are -- particularly Great Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs. The park is free to enter and has miles of hiking trails, a beach and small lake, golf course, horse stables, and a clay shooting range. And the town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US; the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint!
