The Home
Sleeping arrangements
Two spacious bedrooms await. The master bedroom features a comfortable Queen bed, while the second bedroom offers a Twin bunk bed, perfect for kids or extra guests. Fresh linens and plenty of storage keep the space tidy and inviting.
Living space
An open living area centers on a brick fireplace, creating a warm gathering spot. Electric heat and a portable AC unit let you tailor the temperature for any season. A Smart TV paired with fast, reliable WiFi makes streaming movies or video calls effortless.
Outdoor living
Step onto the large deck, where a propane grill stands ready for al fresco meals. The brand‑new fire pit adds a touch of magic for starlit storytelling, and the expansive yard holds a selection of indoor and outdoor games for all ages. After a soak in the hot tub, you can linger on the deck to watch the sunset over the woods.
Kitchen & dining
The fully stocked kitchen includes all the comforts of home, from cookware to coffee makers, so you can bring family recipes and enjoy home‑cooked meals. A spacious dining table on the deck or inside the cabin makes sharing food a natural part of the stay.
Neighborhood & activities
Golden Oak sits just a 10‑minute drive from the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, where well‑marked hiking trails wind through pristine scenery. A short 20‑minute ride brings you to Bryce Resort, offering skiing and snow tubing in winter, and swimming, kayaking, golf, restaurants, bars, and shops in summer. Whether you seek outdoor adventure or relaxed evenings, the area has something for every traveler.
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
Arrival notes
The cabin rests on a quiet country road that is unpaved and features a few potholes; most vehicles navigate it year‑round, but we recommend a cautious drive for a smooth arrival. Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each stay, though you may still notice occasional leaves or pollen—a natural reminder of the surrounding forest.
