This cabin is, in a word, magical. You feel both away from the world (in the best way) and yet close enough to go, see, and do as many things as you want!
The host could not have been more gracious or attentive, and was immediately responsive to all our requests and needs. 10/10 and I can’t wait to return!

We took this trip to celebrate my birthday/1st anniversary. The amenities listed when we paid were then ruled “broken” in the house manual we were sent the day before check in. The oven was broken (found this out after I bought groceries for the trip). The baseboard heat was broken but there were space heaters, we didn’t need them. AC was listed as an amenity and there was none. It got into the mid 80’s during our trip and we slept on the 2nd floor and it was very hot. No screens in windows. The shower is cracked and the drain was clogged. My husband unclogged it but he shouldn’t have had to. I asked & was told the only dog rule was to clean up after them, the house manual had more rules. Tony’s answers seemed AI generated and contradicted eachother. The house smelled like a dead animal/sewer gas. The creek that you can “walk to” from the cabin is nowhere to be found. The place could really use a deep clean & we found trash under the bed. The hot tub & fire pit were enjoyable.

This cabin is an excellent choice if you’re looking to get away for peaceful and relaxing weekend. The hot tub and a sitting by the fire pit at night was the highlight of the trip. I would definitely keep this place in mind again for the future.

The cabin was very nice. Quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was great! Everything worked fine. It was neat and clean. The wifi was stong and reliable (I actually had to write a paper while I was there). Only drawback, the driveway is no joke! We have a pickup and an SUV and got in and out fine. A small car would have a tough time. My only other critique is that there is a neighboring house that’s pretty close but the privacy fence was more than sufficient. Our pups were very comfortable in the house as well. Overall, it was a great weekend get away!

Great cabin in the woods, hot tub very nice and functions simply and easily, upstairs has lots of space, no closet rails in the house, both beds are especially firm but slept well, downstairs is a bit crowded but has most of the basic needs you would expect. View is pretty good, neiborhood is remote and chill. Oven and parking light wasn’t functioning on 1/17.

Tony was very responsive and helpful, when we couldn’t get up the road to our booked cabin due to snow/potholes, he quickly transferred us to another cabin close by.
The cabin could definitely have been better cleaned, but again perhaps they were not expecting to have it used. The downstairs couch was broken and stained, and there is a broken stair that my girlfriend fell down. The place was spacious and has potential, just needs some updating. The hot tub was nice and we were able to use the dryer to dry our bathing suits. The bedroom had heating but the rest of the house stayed pretty cold. There was a downstairs radiator heater but didn’t seem to do much. The location was nice, private and quiet, and 15 minute from the large town.

I had booked a cabin under Tony on Wednesday for Friday night and Saturday night, checking out Sunday. Thursday I made enough money waitressing that I wanted to add Thursday night to the weekend stay. I did so, both bookings made. Let me make this clear, it was NOT a weather issue. The roads were clear, not a spec of snow or rain on the way there. Arriving at the cabin I noticed there was no way up the driveway. It is burried in 2-3 ft of snow. I have a 4WD 5,000 lbs pickup truck that I couldn’t slowly OR at full speed make it past 10 feet up the driveway, as I sunk. I drove an hour from home, and was told I was not getting a refund for “inclimate weather issues”. When that wasn’t what happened. Tony had stated himself “no one has had the cabin booked out so we didn’t get the driveway plowed for guests”. I fought for 5 hours with Airbnb support, finally got a full refund of $604 and they gave me a $25 coupon. I’ve stayed at 3 cabins of Tony’s, this was a waste of gas and upsetting 🙁

My boyfriend and I were excited for a small getaway trip and picked this place based off other people’s reviews. Once we filled out the information to retrieve the house manual (sent the night before we departed) we felt misled.
1. Heat was broken, there was access to space heaters but the house was 40F
2. The oven was broken and unplugged
I messaged Tony to clarify on how we’d be able to cook and the messaging was extremely mixed.
Right before check in he told us the oven/stovetop was broken AND the propane tank for the grill was stolen, leaving us no way to cook after we had bought $150 worth of groceries. Around 4:30 I had to ask Tony for the code as he still hadn’t sent it when check in was at 4PM. We arrived at the house, and noticed it was dusty and had cobwebs/dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. The hot tub was only at 70F and so we called Tony again. After 6 tries throughout the day we gave up and left. We had to leave food and get a room at a local hotel. Disappointing.

We highly enjoyed our stay at Tony’s cabin getaway. We took a mid-week trip up to the mountains to enjoy some peace, it was very much worth it for what we paid. Tried to take advantage of all the amenities; grill, cozy clean kitchen, hot tub and fire pit. Beds were even more comfortable than what we have at home! We spent a good amount of time exploring the area too. With VA, WV, PA, and MD all within a short driving distance we found more than enough to add to our adventure. Tony was a very helpful and responsive host and i hope to book with him again soon!

Beautiful rural location to visit as the leaves turn in the fall! About 30 min drive to both Harper’s Ferry or to Winchester provided lots to see and do. Only complaint was the steep rocky driveway, would not recommend arriving after dark.

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Tony was very responsive from before I even booked as I was comparing his other cabins. Settled on this one and it was beautiful, neat and cozy. Loved the firepit the most. And yes, the driveway is pretty steep but managed to get up there with my daughter’s Nissan Juke-which we weren’t expecting lol Anyway would definitely recommend this place! The views were also amazing

Like the other reviews say, it is incredibly difficult to make it up the driveway. There are mold stains in the bathroom and a lot of quick, easy repairs that are very noticeable around the home. Peaceful location though and for a weekend getaway it’s not a bad place.

Great cabin and beautiful spot. Heaters are not currently working and oven is broken which is not listed in the original posting. He does have plenty of space heaters which worked well but would have been nice to know about these things prior to booking. Otherwise he was very responsive and helpful with navigating the space/amenities. Would return in the future.

We stayed at Tony’s over Labor Day weekend. His house was close enough for us to take day trips to Berkeley Springs and Harper’s Ferry. House was cozy and we enjoyed the hot tub. Driveway is steep, but doable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The last leg of the driveway was a little loose (gravel). Fortunately I had an all-wheel drive option; otherwise, I would have been stuck in a rut.

My family and I had a great time at this location. Very private & peaceful. I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway hill, other than that we enjoyed the campfires, hot tub, movie nights and games the host provided on the property. If you plan on staying with your family JayDee’s is a really nice family environment for all ages only about 10 mins away. Tony responded fast and effectively during the time of our stay and was very helpful 😊

Everything was perfect, very comfortable, quiet, clean, the only comment I would like to highlight is the climb for the cars, it is a bit dangerous for those who do not have large cars, but everything perfect.

We had a splendid four day getaway at this nice little cabin. We absolutely loved the view and especially the view from being inside the Jacuzzi. It was also nice having a fire pit right alongside the Jacuzzi. Tony was very attentive to all our needs and went out of his way to accommodate us. I recommend this beautiful getaway surrounded by nature!

It was a beautiful location and really enjoyed the hot tub. There’s a lot that needs addressed with the cleanliness as well as a few things that need fixed for use. They responded well to my concerns. Once those things are addressed it would be a wonderful place to visit.

The cabin was a very cozy little place to stay for a weekend away! This time of year everything was very green and flourishing. I’m sure in the fall or winter it has a beautiful view of the mountains around the area, but in summer it feels like you’re buried deep in your own little woodland despite there being other cabins close by. The only other cabin nearby is seperated by a high privacy fence.
The cabin is a neatly kept and well arranged living area, but we spent almost all of our time outside enjoying the environment and the hot tub! Our corgi loved lounging on the covered porch with us, and we even saw a deer wander past up on the ridge just yards away as we were in the hot tub.
Tony made sure we were comfortable and had no concerns during our stay! The only advice I’d give is to bring some extra towels. There were only 4 towels for two of us for 2 days. Luckily we had brought our own beach towels for the hot tub so it all worked out!

My BF, dog and I were looking for a weekend getaway, and Tony’s cabin was perfect for us. We wanted to get away from the city, be in nature and close to Harper’s Ferry and Berkley Springs. Tony’s cabin was in the perfect location for us and met our needs. It was nice to relax in the hot tub, and chit chat at the fire pit. Sip on coffee in the morning and take in the beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful time, and Tony was an exceptional host, very friendly, responsive, courteous, and professional.
The pics didn’t quite match the condition of the home, and the place was a bit dirty when we arrived, but Tony compensated us the cleaning fee for that.
All in all we had a wonderful time and appreciated Tony’s hospitality!

My husband and I found Tony’s cabin and booked it as a last minute getaway! Easy check in and Tony had great communication! When we walked into the cabin, it smelled AMAZING! The living area was pretty small. (Just a friendly suggestion to add more cozy blankets and even an ottoman to make the space more comfy!) Upstairs bedroom was super spacious. Kitchen had nice dishes and pans. Plan to bring things like plastic wrap, tin foil, sandwich bags, and olive oil/ seasonings. Also, an extra kitchen towel and rag would have been nice to have too. Bathroom was okay, nothing fancy…small shower and a couple unfinished wall patches.
Overall, it was a nice and peaceful weekend away. We loved being able to grill on the porch and can’t forget about the hot tub! Such a bonus to this little cabin! Thanks for hosting us Tony!

I loved staying at this cute little cabin. The hot tub is such a nice touch especially the time of year when we stayed. The cabin is so cute and was just perfect for the 2 of us, but could still fit up to 4. The whole upstairs is one bedroom and so nice and spacious. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook and the gas stove is so nice. The gravel driveway is a little tough to get up when it’s been raining but it’s so worth it for the view from the porch. We loved our stay and would definitely stay with Tony again.

“Get away from it all” might be an overused phrase, however, that’s exactly what I was looking for, and precisely what Tony and the Blue Maple Team delivered (insert appreciative round of applause here).
The property was exactly as featured, all pertinent information / instructions accurate, and the surprises were positive ones (as in Tony did not mention that it was an excellent location for stargazing….from the hot tub).
The area should also appeal to hikers, mountain bikers, nature lovers, rock hounds, photographers and bird watchers (just to name a few).
BYOBWFTM: bring your own books, wine, firewood, telescope & marshmallows.

We had a big weekend celebration for our anniversary and our puppy’s 2yr birthday…the property was perfect for why we were looking for!
Secluded but not completely away from convenient places like grocery, shopping, dining, etc…about 15-20min drive. The entrance is tight and steep, so be mindful of that.
Loved all of the amenities and space (inside and out); the covered porch, hot tub (which was already hot when we arrived!!!!), plenty of cook wear, plenty of space for our puppy to roam round. We had a bit of a wifi issue and Tony was so responsive and helped resolved the issue quickly. We will definitely be returning!

Tony was very accommodating and responded to texts quickly. The place was a nice escape for the wife and I. We’d originally plan to bring our dogs but got a sitter last minute. However, we’d have felt very comfortable having then there. Great place to relax in the hot tub and take in the view next to a roaring fire. Even got to use the grill and road trip to DC. We highly recommend this place!

We overall enjoyed our stay at this cabin, good for $. Used all amenities listed from outdoor games, indoor games (connect 4, mad libs, uno), the smart tv, fire pit, and hot tub.
I expected a lot of seclusion but We did have ONLY one close neighbor against the back yard which repeatedly encouraged her dog to “go shart missy” every night. Loved the hot tub, used it frequently, clean.
The cabin is very quaint with an awkward but cozy layout.
When he says he doesn’t provide much in the kitchen, prepare for a lot of grocery shopping (we forgot Saran Wrap, foil, and Tupperware, fire starter). Local eateries were not the best, so we ate in.
We have one issue-bed sheets upstairs were NOT clean. The cleaner came when we left, then just dropped fresh sheets (not including pillow cases) on the couch instead of actually changing the bedding which was still upsetting. But we got them. Also, there were some holes & no closet rods, which the host was aware of.
Overall, peaceful & responsive host.

Great place for a getaway! Very private but felt just like home. Be prepared for a semi steep ride, not too bad though. I did just fine getting up with nissan kicks! About 15 min from a food lion. House fully furnished so we were able to cook using food we brought with us. Definitely cozy! Would visit again.

My wife and I stayed from Friday to Monday. The cottage was very nice, and it was in a peaceful and quiet area. The nearest grocery store was 20mins away, which we loved because we were trying to get away and disconnect. A plus was that we were able to bring our fur baby with us. There was a hot tub as advertised and a fire pit outside with chairs. The rooms were clean and the linings were fresh. Everything in the kitchen is brand new and worked very well. We were given an instructions manual on what the house features, places to eat etc.
There were only 2 cons. One was the bath tub had some hair in it. We cleaned it, but it should’ve been cleaned. And our second issue was that the electric baseboard heat didn’t work. It wasn’t noted on the listing, we found out after we booked and read the instructions manual. There were space heaters everywhere. My concern was leaving my fur baby in the home with a space heater on. Other than those two things, the stay was great. We enjoyed our stay

Beautiful views! We appreciated the private location and hot tub. Driving up the steep, rocky driveway was a little intimidating, but our sedan made it. The baseboard heat wasn’t operational because the cabin needs some electrical work, but we stayed warm with the many (provided) space heaters.

Very clean cabin. Fully stocked. Tony was very friendly and helpful. The cabin is pretty near another cabin with only a fence separating the hot tub from the neighboring cabin, not totally ideal if you like privacy and distance. Other than that it’s a nice little place!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here! The area is beautiful and it’s a quick drive to any shopping or anything you’d need. We were visiting Harpers Ferry and it was a super easy drive over each day.
We brought our golden retriever puppy and there was plenty of room to have her crate and private outdoor space to bring her outside.
The cabin was clean and had almost everything we needed. You may want to bring extra blankets if you’re coming in the winter! And bring extra towels if you’re going to use the hot tub.
Also, the driveway is a little steep and is gravel (as to be expected in a mountain town), but just to keep in mind if you have a low vehicle or if there’s a potential for bad weather.

House did not have central heating, and did not have an indoor fireplace as described in the manual. Holes in the walls, stains on the sheets and towels, dishes not cleaned when opening the cabinets, old food in fridge, and cobwebs everywhere. Would not return.

In an effort to be 100% transparent about this stay, let me start off by saying if you don’t like bugs, this place is not for you. There are bugs in all stages of life all over this cabin (it’s nestled in the mountains so there shouldn’t be a surprise there). That being said, the stay is 100% worth it. The sunset view between the trees was beautiful. The house is comfy and clean. It seems a little “thrown together” in some aspects but that doesn’t change my feelings on it. The hot tub after a long day of walking around is so so relaxing. The bed was comfortable and everything was up to date. Any questions I had I was able to get answered in the house guide I was sent by Tony, who was very responsive when I needed something. The price was great and I would absolutely stay here again if the chance came up!

The house was beautiful, clean and very homey. Everything was left out for us, clear instructions, amazing views and definitely worth what you pay for. Only thing that we weren’t told about was the driveways hill is pretty steep, if you have a truck you can get up relatively easy but still a little difficult to get up. And the hot tub jets weren’t working how they were supposed to. Other than that it was the perfect vacation.

The house is nice and remote, and while its nice enough, I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway. The house was damp and seemingly has gone through a number of slap-dash patchwork repairs, from panels of plywood covering sections of the walls to hastily repaired and unpainted holes from a towel rack. While the place was overall decently clean, we had to clean up more than a few dead bugs and spiders – not unheard of to have spiders and bugs in a cabin in the middle of the woods, but these were clearly dead and decaying, which raised questions about the actual cleanliness of the place.
The positives, however, are a very peaceful and remote location. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom dark and comfortable. The hot tub worked great and was very inviting and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots and pans and baking trays. Tony was responsive and messaged to ensure we were able to access the place.
One word of caution: the driveway to the house is steep and gravel.

Tony was the most response and helpful host we’ve ever had. We enjoyed our stay, but had some issues along the way. We received stained towels from the cleaning company and the drain in the bathroom sink was unusable. The cabin was not as clean as we expected either. Tony was responsive about these issues to get them resolved as soon as possible.

Tony’s cabin is in a really quiet and peaceful spot..we loved grilling our own meals and eating them out on the porch..the evenings are very lovely. We did not find the house as clean as we had hoped.. but we did enjoy our stay! Thankyou!

We had a nice time! The hot tub was really great and the beds were very comfortable, and the location is absolutely lovely in the woods. It’s quiet and peaceful, perfect for a getaway. We had a great time going to Harper’s Ferry and Winchester for day trips, and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub in the evenings. The house is a bit spartan when it comes to kitchen supplies, so be sure to bring any spices or other condiments you may want, and consider bringing your own pool towels for the hot tub- otherwise you’ll be all set! Our host, Tony, could not be nicer or more responsive- when we requested more towels he reached out to the cleaner and got us some more right away. In addition, he made great recommendations for things to do in the area and was always a pleasure to work with. Hope to stay with Tony again!

If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a spectacular view, this is the place to be. The house was comfortable for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates and cups. The evening views were stunning and it was nice to sit on the porch and take in the view. We had a nice time hiking and taking in nature. The host was very proactive and checked in with us several times throughout our trip. I would love to stay here again in the future!

Loved the place! Super clean and accurate. The only thing that wasn’t accurate was the indoor fireplace. Not sure if that was something they are planning to put in and haven’t yet. Great, quiet view while you are soaking in the hot tub. Had all kitchen essentials and bathroom essentials. This is at the top of a very steep hill though, I would not recommend it with snow on the ground if you don’t have a 4×4 vehicle. Overall would stay again!

There were a lot of issues from the time we arrived to the time we left. When we arrived, we noticed the couch was broke on one side and super uncomfortable, the baseboard heaters didn’t work, there was trash in the bathroom trash can (including used tampons), coffee filter wasn’t thrown out from the last guest, hot tub wouldn’t heat up properly, and the place is right next to another cabin so there’s no privacy in the hot tub. The neighbors were extra loud (fortunately they were only there the first night we were).
Host was responsive but told us he’d move us to a different cabin and then when the time came to do that, he tried to make us cancel and only get a partial refund and then pay even more for another cabin (price originally was $125 but went up to $195 when we were about to switch). He kept saying he couldn’t do a refund because we “had a change of heart”, when the truth was we were just hoping for a nice quiet stay with a working hot tub and comfortable useable couch.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful, relaxing trip in the mountains to recharge. We could not have picked a better location! The house is perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed our time in the hot tub, and watched the sun set over the mountains every evening. Tony’s place was very quiet, all you can hear are the birds and animals rustling through the woods. Tony was easy to contact through the Airbnb app or text. He was quick to answer questions and give recommendations. We definitely would love to stay here again in the future!

The house was perfect for our family of four. Everything in the house is beautifully arranged and the view is spectacular. We were able to see the sun set into the mountains, that’s something you rarely get to see nowadays! Staying in this house for a few days really helped us reconnect with nature. We enjoyed drinking tea by the fireplace at night and relaxing in the hot tub. The kids were so excited to see a neighborhood cat, Taco, come here and there. The host was accommodating and kind to us. Personally, I think Tony is one of the best host I have had so far! We made a lot of memories from here and definitely would come again if we could.

I came back home as relaxed as possible thanks to Tony and his cottage! The cottage was perfect for a couples getaway. We didn’t leave the area whatsoever, we enjoyed the place as a whole. Tony exceeded my expectations towards communication. We felt like we were staying at a friends place 🙂

The cabin itself is very peaceful if somewhat small, but plenty of room for two people. Hot tub and sunset views were great!

My husband and I enjoyed our peaceful stay. We were looking for serenity, and that’s what we got. There were a few hiccups, but Tony compensated us for it, and it all worked out. We left relaxed and satisfied. Thanks Tony for the hospitality.

We absolutely loved this stay for a weekend getaway. The house is up in the hills and offers great views, especially at sunset and dusk. The porch and hot tub take advantage of the beautiful scenery. The house itself is lovely. The living area is a little tight, but upstairs is very spacious and was plenty of space for 2-4 people. The brand new kitchen was a big plus for us! Tony provided us with all the information we could need about the house, things to do, places to eat, and suggestions on how to make the most of our time at the rental. He’s very communicative and was so easy to work with.
Few things to note: the Food Lion has moved down the street from where it’s listed on Maps. Firewood can be purchased at the gas stations. There’s a friendly neighborhood cat named Taco who occasionally peeks around the house. He keeps his distance, but seemed very nice!

My boyfriend and I were both experiencing burnout at work, and knew we needed to get out in the woods (we like to camp, backpack, etc.). I’ve grown up my entire life in WV, and had never heard of Gerrardstown. I’m so glad I came across this listing!! The sunset view from the hot tub was AMAZING, the BnB was very well-kept, and Tony was extremely prompt in answering my questions. We very well may come back here if it’s not booked up already! Perfect weekend getaway for any outdoorsy type.

We took this trip to celebrate my birthday/1st anniversary. The amenities listed when we paid were then ruled "broken" in the house manual we were sent the day before check in. The oven was broken (found this out after I bought groceries for the trip). The baseboard heat was broken but there were space heaters, we didn't need them. AC was listed as an amenity and there was none. It got into the mid 80's during our trip and we slept on the 2nd floor and it was very hot. No screens in windows. The shower is cracked and the drain was clogged. My husband unclogged it but he shouldn't have had to. I asked & was told the only dog rule was to clean up after them, the house manual had more rules. Tony's answers seemed AI generated and contradicted eachother. The house smelled like a dead animal/sewer gas. The creek that you can "walk to" from the cabin is nowhere to be found. The place could really use a deep clean & we found trash under the bed. The hot tub & fire pit were enjoyable.

This cabin is an excellent choice if you’re looking to get away for peaceful and relaxing weekend. The hot tub and a sitting by the fire pit at night was the highlight of the trip. I would definitely keep this place in mind again for the future.

The cabin was very nice. Quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was great! Everything worked fine. It was neat and clean. The wifi was stong and reliable (I actually had to write a paper while I was there). Only drawback, the driveway is no joke! We have a pickup and an SUV and got in and out fine. A small car would have a tough time. My only other critique is that there is a neighboring house that's pretty close but the privacy fence was more than sufficient. Our pups were very comfortable in the house as well. Overall, it was a great weekend get away!

Great cabin in the woods, hot tub very nice and functions simply and easily, upstairs has lots of space, no closet rails in the house, both beds are especially firm but slept well, downstairs is a bit crowded but has most of the basic needs you would expect. View is pretty good, neiborhood is remote and chill. Oven and parking light wasn't functioning on 1/17.

Tony was very responsive and helpful, when we couldn’t get up the road to our booked cabin due to snow/potholes, he quickly transferred us to another cabin close by.
The cabin could definitely have been better cleaned, but again perhaps they were not expecting to have it used. The downstairs couch was broken and stained, and there is a broken stair that my girlfriend fell down. The place was spacious and has potential, just needs some updating. The hot tub was nice and we were able to use the dryer to dry our bathing suits. The bedroom had heating but the rest of the house stayed pretty cold. There was a downstairs radiator heater but didn’t seem to do much. The location was nice, private and quiet, and 15 minute from the large town.

I had booked a cabin under Tony on Wednesday for Friday night and Saturday night, checking out Sunday. Thursday I made enough money waitressing that I wanted to add Thursday night to the weekend stay. I did so, both bookings made. Let me make this clear, it was NOT a weather issue. The roads were clear, not a spec of snow or rain on the way there. Arriving at the cabin I noticed there was no way up the driveway. It is burried in 2-3 ft of snow. I have a 4WD 5,000 lbs pickup truck that I couldn’t slowly OR at full speed make it past 10 feet up the driveway, as I sunk. I drove an hour from home, and was told I was not getting a refund for “inclimate weather issues”. When that wasn’t what happened. Tony had stated himself “no one has had the cabin booked out so we didn’t get the driveway plowed for guests”. I fought for 5 hours with Airbnb support, finally got a full refund of $604 and they gave me a $25 coupon. I’ve stayed at 3 cabins of Tony’s, this was a waste of gas and upsetting 🙁

My boyfriend and I were excited for a small getaway trip and picked this place based off other people’s reviews. Once we filled out the information to retrieve the house manual (sent the night before we departed) we felt misled.
1. Heat was broken, there was access to space heaters but the house was 40F
2. The oven was broken and unplugged
I messaged Tony to clarify on how we’d be able to cook and the messaging was extremely mixed.
Right before check in he told us the oven/stovetop was broken AND the propane tank for the grill was stolen, leaving us no way to cook after we had bought $150 worth of groceries. Around 4:30 I had to ask Tony for the code as he still hadn’t sent it when check in was at 4PM. We arrived at the house, and noticed it was dusty and had cobwebs/dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. The hot tub was only at 70F and so we called Tony again. After 6 tries throughout the day we gave up and left. We had to leave food and get a room at a local hotel. Disappointing.

We highly enjoyed our stay at Tony’s cabin getaway. We took a mid-week trip up to the mountains to enjoy some peace, it was very much worth it for what we paid. Tried to take advantage of all the amenities; grill, cozy clean kitchen, hot tub and fire pit. Beds were even more comfortable than what we have at home! We spent a good amount of time exploring the area too. With VA, WV, PA, and MD all within a short driving distance we found more than enough to add to our adventure. Tony was a very helpful and responsive host and i hope to book with him again soon!

Beautiful rural location to visit as the leaves turn in the fall! About 30 min drive to both Harper’s Ferry or to Winchester provided lots to see and do. Only complaint was the steep rocky driveway, would not recommend arriving after dark.

Loved the firepit the most. And yes, the driveway is pretty steep but managed to get up there with my daughter's Nissan Juke-which we weren't expecting lol Anyway would definitely recommend this place! Like the other reviews say, it is incredibly difficult to make it up the driveway. There are mold stains in the bathroom and a lot of quick, easy repairs that are very noticeable around the home. Peaceful location though and for a weekend getaway it’s not a bad place.

He does have plenty of space heaters which worked well but would have been nice to know about these things prior to booking. We stayed at Tony’s over Labor Day weekend. His house was close enough for us to take day trips to Berkeley Springs and Harper’s Ferry. House was cozy and we enjoyed the hot tub. Driveway is steep, but doable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

My family and I had a great time at this location. Very private & peaceful. I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway hill, other than that we enjoyed the campfires, hot tub, movie nights and games the host provided on the property. If you plan on staying with your family JayDee’s is a really nice family environment for all ages only about 10 mins away. Tony responded fast and effectively during the time of our stay and was very helpful 😊

Everything was perfect, very comfortable, quiet, clean, the only comment I would like to highlight is the climb for the cars, it is a bit dangerous for those who do not have large cars, but everything perfect.

We had a splendid four day getaway at this nice little cabin. We absolutely loved the view and especially the view from being inside the Jacuzzi. It was also nice having a fire pit right alongside the Jacuzzi. Tony was very attentive to all our needs and went out of his way to accommodate us. I recommend this beautiful getaway surrounded by nature!

It was a beautiful location and really enjoyed the hot tub. There’s a lot that needs addressed with the cleanliness as well as a few things that need fixed for use. They responded well to my concerns. Once those things are addressed it would be a wonderful place to visit.

The cabin was a very cozy little place to stay for a weekend away! This time of year everything was very green and flourishing. I'm sure in the fall or winter it has a beautiful view of the mountains around the area, but in summer it feels like you're buried deep in your own little woodland despite there being other cabins close by. The only other cabin nearby is seperated by a high privacy fence.
The cabin is a neatly kept and well arranged living area, but we spent almost all of our time outside enjoying the environment and the hot tub! Our corgi loved lounging on the covered porch with us, and we even saw a deer wander past up on the ridge just yards away as we were in the hot tub.
Tony made sure we were comfortable and had no concerns during our stay! The only advice I'd give is to bring some extra towels. There were only 4 towels for two of us for 2 days. Luckily we had brought our own beach towels for the hot tub so it all worked out!

My BF, dog and I were looking for a weekend getaway, and Tony's cabin was perfect for us. We wanted to get away from the city, be in nature and close to Harper's Ferry and Berkley Springs. Tony's cabin was in the perfect location for us and met our needs. It was nice to relax in the hot tub, and chit chat at the fire pit. Sip on coffee in the morning and take in the beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful time, and Tony was an exceptional host, very friendly, responsive, courteous, and professional.
The pics didn't quite match the condition of the home, and the place was a bit dirty when we arrived, but Tony compensated us the cleaning fee for that.
All in all we had a wonderful time and appreciated Tony's hospitality!

My husband and I found Tony's cabin and booked it as a last minute getaway! Easy check in and Tony had great communication! When we walked into the cabin, it smelled AMAZING! The living area was pretty small. (Just a friendly suggestion to add more cozy blankets and even an ottoman to make the space more comfy!) Upstairs bedroom was super spacious. Kitchen had nice dishes and pans. Plan to bring things like plastic wrap, tin foil, sandwich bags, and olive oil/ seasonings. Also, an extra kitchen towel and rag would have been nice to have too. Bathroom was okay, nothing fancy...small shower and a couple unfinished wall patches.
Overall, it was a nice and peaceful weekend away. We loved being able to grill on the porch and can't forget about the hot tub! Such a bonus to this little cabin! Thanks for hosting us Tony!

I loved staying at this cute little cabin. The hot tub is such a nice touch especially the time of year when we stayed. The cabin is so cute and was just perfect for the 2 of us, but could still fit up to 4. The whole upstairs is one bedroom and so nice and spacious. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook and the gas stove is so nice. The gravel driveway is a little tough to get up when it’s been raining but it’s so worth it for the view from the porch. We loved our stay and would definitely stay with Tony again.

“Get away from it all” might be an overused phrase, however, that’s exactly what I was looking for, and precisely what Tony and the Blue Maple Team delivered (insert appreciative round of applause here).
The property was exactly as featured, all pertinent information / instructions accurate, and the surprises were positive ones (as in Tony did not mention that it was an excellent location for stargazing….from the hot tub).
The area should also appeal to hikers, mountain bikers, nature lovers, rock hounds, photographers and bird watchers (just to name a few).

We had a big weekend celebration for our anniversary and our puppy’s 2yr birthday…the property was perfect for why we were looking for!
Secluded but not completely away from convenient places like grocery, shopping, dining, etc…about 15-20min drive. The entrance is tight and steep, so be mindful of that.
Loved all of the amenities and space (inside and out); the covered porch, hot tub (which was already hot when we arrived!!!!), plenty of cook wear, plenty of space for our puppy to roam round. We had a bit of a wifi issue and Tony was so responsive and helped resolved the issue quickly. We will definitely be returning!

Tony was very accommodating and responded to texts quickly. The place was a nice escape for the wife and I. We’d originally plan to bring our dogs but got a sitter last minute. However, we’d have felt very comfortable having then there. Great place to relax in the hot tub and take in the view next to a roaring fire. Even got to use the grill and road trip to DC. We overall enjoyed our stay at this cabin, good for $. Used all amenities listed from outdoor games, indoor games (connect 4, mad libs, uno), the smart tv, fire pit, and hot tub.
I expected a lot of seclusion but We did have ONLY one close neighbor against the back yard which repeatedly encouraged her dog to “go shart missy” every night. Loved the hot tub, used it frequently, clean.
The cabin is very quaint with an awkward but cozy layout.
When he says he doesn’t provide much in the kitchen, prepare for a lot of grocery shopping (we forgot Saran Wrap, foil, and Tupperware, fire starter). Local eateries were not the best, so we ate in.
We have one issue-bed sheets upstairs were NOT clean. The cleaner came when we left, then just dropped fresh sheets (not including pillow cases) on the couch instead of actually changing the bedding which was still upsetting. But we got them. Also, there were some holes & no closet rods, which the host was aware of.
Overall, peaceful & responsive host.

Great place for a getaway! Very private but felt just like home. Be prepared for a semi steep ride, not too bad though. I did just fine getting up with nissan kicks! About 15 min from a food lion. House fully furnished so we were able to cook using food we brought with us. Definitely cozy! Would visit again.

My wife and I stayed from Friday to Monday. The cottage was very nice, and it was in a peaceful and quiet area. The nearest grocery store was 20mins away, which we loved because we were trying to get away and disconnect. A plus was that we were able to bring our fur baby with us. There was a hot tub as advertised and a fire pit outside with chairs. The rooms were clean and the linings were fresh. Everything in the kitchen is brand new and worked very well. We were given an instructions manual on what the house features, places to eat etc.
There were only 2 cons. One was the bath tub had some hair in it. We cleaned it, but it should’ve been cleaned. And our second issue was that the electric baseboard heat didn’t work. It wasn’t noted on the listing, we found out after we booked and read the instructions manual. There were space heaters everywhere. My concern was leaving my fur baby in the home with a space heater on. Other than those two things, the stay was great. We enjoyed our stay

We greatly enjoyed our stay here! The area is beautiful and it’s a quick drive to any shopping or anything you’d need. We were visiting Harpers Ferry and it was a super easy drive over each day.
We brought our golden retriever puppy and there was plenty of room to have her crate and private outdoor space to bring her outside.
The cabin was clean and had almost everything we needed. You may want to bring extra blankets if you’re coming in the winter! And bring extra towels if you’re going to use the hot tub.
Also, the driveway is a little steep and is gravel (as to be expected in a mountain town), but just to keep in mind if you have a low vehicle or if there’s a potential for bad weather.

In an effort to be 100% transparent about this stay, let me start off by saying if you don’t like bugs, this place is not for you. There are bugs in all stages of life all over this cabin (it’s nestled in the mountains so there shouldn’t be a surprise there). That being said, the stay is 100% worth it. The sunset view between the trees was beautiful. The house is comfy and clean. It seems a little “thrown together” in some aspects but that doesn’t change my feelings on it. The hot tub after a long day of walking around is so so relaxing. The bed was comfortable and everything was up to date. Any questions I had I was able to get answered in the house guide I was sent by Tony, who was very responsive when I needed something. The price was great and I would absolutely stay here again if the chance came up!

The house was beautiful, clean and very homey. Everything was left out for us, clear instructions, amazing views and definitely worth what you pay for. Only thing that we weren’t told about was the driveways hill is pretty steep, if you have a truck you can get up relatively easy but still a little difficult to get up. And the hot tub jets weren’t working how they were supposed to. Other than that it was the perfect vacation.

The house is nice and remote, and while its nice enough, I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic getaway. The house was damp and seemingly has gone through a number of slap-dash patchwork repairs, from panels of plywood covering sections of the walls to hastily repaired and unpainted holes from a towel rack. While the place was overall decently clean, we had to clean up more than a few dead bugs and spiders - not unheard of to have spiders and bugs in a cabin in the middle of the woods, but these were clearly dead and decaying, which raised questions about the actual cleanliness of the place.
The positives, however, are a very peaceful and remote location. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom dark and comfortable. The hot tub worked great and was very inviting and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots and pans and baking trays. Tony was responsive and messaged to ensure we were able to access the place.
One word of caution: the driveway to the house is steep and gravel.

Tony was the most response and helpful host we’ve ever had. We enjoyed our stay, but had some issues along the way. We received stained towels from the cleaning company and the drain in the bathroom sink was unusable. The cabin was not as clean as we expected either. Tony was responsive about these issues to get them resolved as soon as possible.

We had a nice time! The hot tub was really great and the beds were very comfortable, and the location is absolutely lovely in the woods. It's quiet and peaceful, perfect for a getaway. We had a great time going to Harper's Ferry and Winchester for day trips, and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub in the evenings. The house is a bit spartan when it comes to kitchen supplies, so be sure to bring any spices or other condiments you may want, and consider bringing your own pool towels for the hot tub- otherwise you'll be all set! Our host, Tony, could not be nicer or more responsive- when we requested more towels he reached out to the cleaner and got us some more right away. In addition, he made great recommendations for things to do in the area and was always a pleasure to work with. Hope to stay with Tony again!

If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a spectacular view, this is the place to be. The house was comfortable for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates and cups. The evening views were stunning and it was nice to sit on the porch and take in the view. We had a nice time hiking and taking in nature. The host was very proactive and checked in with us several times throughout our trip. I would love to stay here again in the future!

Loved the place! Super clean and accurate. The only thing that wasn’t accurate was the indoor fireplace. Not sure if that was something they are planning to put in and haven’t yet. Great, quiet view while you are soaking in the hot tub. Had all kitchen essentials and bathroom essentials. This is at the top of a very steep hill though, I would not recommend it with snow on the ground if you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle. Overall would stay again!

There were a lot of issues from the time we arrived to the time we left. When we arrived, we noticed the couch was broke on one side and super uncomfortable, the baseboard heaters didn’t work, there was trash in the bathroom trash can (including used tampons), coffee filter wasn’t thrown out from the last guest, hot tub wouldn’t heat up properly, and the place is right next to another cabin so there’s no privacy in the hot tub. The neighbors were extra loud (fortunately they were only there the first night we were).
Host was responsive but told us he’d move us to a different cabin and then when the time came to do that, he tried to make us cancel and only get a partial refund and then pay even more for another cabin (price originally was $125 but went up to $195 when we were about to switch). He kept saying he couldn’t do a refund because we “had a change of heart”, when the truth was we were just hoping for a nice quiet stay with a working hot tub and comfortable useable couch.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful, relaxing trip in the mountains to recharge. We could not have picked a better location! The house is perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed our time in the hot tub, and watched the sun set over the mountains every evening. Tony’s place was very quiet, all you can hear are the birds and animals rustling through the woods. Tony was easy to contact through the Airbnb app or text. The house was perfect for our family of four. Everything in the house is beautifully arranged and the view is spectacular. We were able to see the sun set into the mountains, that's something you rarely get to see nowadays! Staying in this house for a few days really helped us reconnect with nature. We enjoyed drinking tea by the fireplace at night and relaxing in the hot tub. The kids were so excited to see a neighborhood cat, Taco, come here and there. The host was accommodating and kind to us. Personally, I think Tony is one of the best host I have had so far! We made a lot of memories from here and definitely would come again if we could.

I came back home as relaxed as possible thanks to Tony and his cottage! The cottage was perfect for a couples getaway. We didn’t leave the area whatsoever, we enjoyed the place as a whole. Tony exceeded my expectations towards communication. We felt like we were staying at a friends place 🙂

The cabin itself is very peaceful if somewhat small, but plenty of room for two people. Hot tub and sunset views were great!

My husband and I enjoyed our peaceful stay. We were looking for serenity, and that's what we got. There were a few hiccups, but Tony compensated us for it, and it all worked out. We left relaxed and satisfied. Thanks Tony for the hospitality.

We absolutely loved this stay for a weekend getaway. The house is up in the hills and offers great views, especially at sunset and dusk. The porch and hot tub take advantage of the beautiful scenery. The house itself is lovely. The living area is a little tight, but upstairs is very spacious and was plenty of space for 2-4 people. The brand new kitchen was a big plus for us! Tony provided us with all the information we could need about the house, things to do, places to eat, and suggestions on how to make the most of our time at the rental. He's very communicative and was so easy to work with.
Few things to note: the Food Lion has moved down the street from where it's listed on Maps. Firewood can be purchased at the gas stations. There's a friendly neighborhood cat named Taco who occasionally peeks around the house. He keeps his distance, but seemed very nice!

My boyfriend and I were both experiencing burnout at work, and knew we needed to get out in the woods (we like to camp, backpack, etc.). I’ve grown up my entire life in WV, and had never heard of Gerrardstown. I’m so glad I came across this listing!! The sunset view from the hot tub was AMAZING, the BnB was very well-kept, and Tony was extremely prompt in answering my questions. We very well may come back here if it’s not booked up already! Perfect weekend getaway for any outdoorsy type.
