The Home
The Retreat at Cooper Mountain includes four properties that can collectively sleep up to 12 people:
The cozy chalet cabin, Hickory Hill, includes:
- Two bedrooms, both with queen beds
- Two full bathrooms
- Kitchen with major appliances (including dishwasher, microwave, and fridge) and island, perfect for hanging out while cooking
- Sitting area with beautiful views, perfect for reading or relaxing with a glass of wine
- Fire Pit with plenty of seating for the whole gang
3 Luxe Glamping domes
Serenity Base & Stargazer each include:
- 1 king bed each (it’s very comfortable and large)
Aurora
- 1 king bed and 1 queen bed (loft style)
Each dome is separately outfitted with its own private outdoor space, and also includes the following in the interior, as well:
-An indoor full bathroom with a shower
- A well-equipped kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, & coffee maker
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign in to your favorite streaming service
- WiFi strong enough for streaming movies and taking video calls
- Portable AC and heat to keep you comfortable
Outside at each dome you’ll also find:
- A new hot tub, perfect for relaxing after an afternoon hike
- Deck with mountain-view seating
- Outside fire pit with plenty of seating
- Propane Grill, perfect for taking in the great outdoors
(By the way, we do also allow each individual property to be booked separately. If the entire The Retreat at Cooper Mountain isn’t available during your dates, the chalet (Hickory Hill) or individual domes (Aurora, Stargazer and Serenity Base) may still be available. Between exploring the unique features of our luxe domes and enjoying the wooded, mountainside vista, The Retreat at Cooper Mountain is the perfect vacation spot. The Retreat at Cooper Mountain is adjacent to a 37-acre private nature preserve, with plenty of hiking trails and areas to explore.
In addition, you’re about 20 minutes away from nearly countless wilderness attractions, including whitewater rafting at Pleasantdale’s Tearcoat Creek, lake swimming at Buffalo Gap Retreat in Capon Bridge, hunting and fishing within the 400-acre forest of the Edwards Run Wildlife Management Area, hiking on the Tuscarora Trail, and the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad.
