Awesome cabin. Great outdoor area with hot tub and fire pit. Spacious and clean. Water has sulfur smell but that was something they are open about and we knew about, just stinky. Couldn’t get late checkout which we were sad about. Overall, we loved this place and will be back!!

Tony’s cabin felt like staying at your friends grandparents cabin in the woods. Very very private, cozy, and spacious. The hot tub on the porch was lovely and the fireplace was so nice to have fires in. There was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out in and relax. It could definitely use some love, but with a some fixes/upgrades it could be perfection. Tony was very responsive to all our concerns. Tips for guests: if you plan to cook meals here I would bring some additional supplies. The pots/pans are not great and I ended up buying and leaving a baking sheet there because there was nothing to cook in the oven with. The water is bad, but filling up in Berkeley Springs was easy and free.

This cabin is a great choice for a rustic escape in the woods, offering seclusion, a cozy A-frame design, and a convenient 2.5 hr drive from DC. We loved the fire pit, large balcony, and especially the hot tub, which was ready upon arrival. However, there were some challenges: the Wi-Fi was spotty, the Roku TV required an account, the stove was finicky, and the fireplace, while lovely, created a lot of smoke inside. The main bed had a dip in the middle, which affected comfort, and the dishwasher didn’t work, requiring handwashing at the end of our stay. The well water also had a sulfur smell as others reviews mentioned, which was manageable. Despite these quirks, the cabin provided the authentic, woodsy atmosphere we were looking for, with plenty of towels, percolated coffee, and a charming location. If you’re after a peaceful, rustic experience and don’t mind a few rough edges, it’s a wonderful spot to unwind and connect with nature.

Friendly, proactive hosts. The cabin was clean and ready for us. Electrical and wifi worked great. We enjoyed the solitude and wildlife (lots of deer and frogs). The fire pit is big enough for a bonfire, we had to stretch to do smores. The water pressure is very low, it was hard to wash your hands let alone shower. The water is full of minerals, our dog’s bowl was mostly brown. We visited the baths in Berkeley Springs and filled up bottles with free, delicious, spring water. Be aware that the master bed has an old foam mattress that is no good if you suffer from back or joint pain.

If you are looking for a secluded spot away from everything, this is your place. The cabin is rustic, with enough amenities to make sure you feel comfortable. The fire pit and grill are great touches. Overall, I highly recommend.

The location was amazing! It suited our needs adequately. It was perfect for relaxation and the giant fire pit out front was very inviting. I loved sitting on the porch. I loved opening the windows to fall asleep to the sounds of the outdoors. Two of our three days we watched deer. Tony’s communication was very good. The biggest distraction to me was a very long list of maintenance items that needed addressed. None were earth shattering and everything was completely livable. But there are many “Berkley Springs area” cabins for similar cost and significantly better maintained.

A great spot for a weekend getaway! We loved the fire pit and the hot tub!

The cabin was just what we were looking for. Secluded with a fire pit, hot tub, and great grill. Nice, tidy, and clean. Perfect for two people who wanted to get away from the city for a nice, quiet weekend. The surrounding woods were beautiful and the road was both slow, barely trafficked, and far enough away from the house that we didn’t even notice it was there. We would definitely stay again!

Tony was great! The cabin was very easy to get to and looked just like the photos. During the night a tree fell across the driveway and Tony answered right away was able to get it cleared out quickly. The hot tub was so amazing! My husband did get a tick on him so make sure after you walk the woods you look for ticks!

Loved the cabin and location. Would come back again for sure! Tony was great as a host and had zero issues. However I wish the location would have been a little more maintained. It was clean inside, but the cabin itself needs a little TLC and it could be immaculate again!

What a wonderful weekend! Such a peaceful and beautiful cabin to relax in and take it the nature! Would love to visit again with our older children the upstairs would be perfect for them!

This was a gloriously peaceful stay for us that was very much needed! It’s so wonderful to have been able to book this cabin to stay in the middle of the woods and actually relax. Good overall, the building was older and not as well maintained. There was a noticeable smoke smell. Hot tub was nice. Area was beautiful and remote.

So the water does smell like boiled eggs which is something the owner and all who’ve stayed have mentioned. I believe Tony did his best to fix it. But past that it was an excellent stay and my girlfriend and dog!

Tony’s cabin was truly an oasis of peace and quiet. The only sounds were the wind in the treetops, the crackling of the fireI had laid in, and the subtle hum of the hot tub pump. Truly, sitting in the hot tub with my wife and watching far-off lightning reflect up into the clouds while watching the stars overhead was incredibly relaxing. Thanks Tony!!

Our family had a wonderful time at Tony’s cabin. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay smooth from start to finish. Check in is super easy and Tony communicated everything we could need to know prior to arrival. We did have to clean out the fire pits inside and outside prior to use, but beyond that everything was exactly as stated and pictured. The location is very private and we were so thankful to enjoy a weekend away with our dog.

Great secluded cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of hiking and things to do in area.

The cabin was just right for our one night getaway. Might be worth noting that a lot of places in town seemed to be closed or close early on Sundays. The water smell was pretty bad, but we realize that’s no one’s fault. We always appreciate a dog-friendly place!

This place was great for a weekend getaway and I have no regrets staying here. Pros: secluded but still good internet Host was friendly and quick to respond Hot tub worked great Fire pit was large and cozy Plenty of beds and seating Lock box makes check in and check out easy Cons: water did have a gross smell from the minerals (would recommend brushing teeth with bottled water. You’ll also smell like the water after your shower.) Tile on shower steps could use some attention as the are cracking and coming loose. Check out time was earlier than most places I’ve stayed at (10am) Overall I would recommend staying at this location. The host was great at responding and providing any needed help. While the water does have a bad smell as other people mentioned, it’s not a deal breaker. Just bring some bottled water and it’ll be fine for a couple nights. The many amenities will make for a fun getaway.

Remote and cozy cabin!

Had a terrific four days. Great hiking within the area close by, great dinner at Canary Grill. Hot tub was very relaxing especially at night. Will come back again in the Fall. Communication with Tony was outstanding!

Tony was an absolute amazing host. The instructions to get in were perfectly clear. He provided a lot of detail about how to get to the cabin (like speed limits even though roads were clearly marked!) Once inside, the cabin itself was perfectly appointed. Great kitchenware available. Every time I looked for something (like a light switch, a fan, or even a night light) — the items around the house were in the perfect and expected spots! I especially loved how thoughtful the hosts were with the fire pit and instructions. Most importantly for me: I used the hot tub every night watching the sunset!! Can’t wait to come again and visit Tony’s other properties too.

Tony was an absolutely wonderful host. I came out here with a large group of friends, and there was plenty to do at the cabin, although Tony had great hiking recommendations that we also used. The cabin itself is cozy and private but simultaneously spacious enough. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking basics. Some of the beds weren’t too comfortable while others were extremely soft and comfortable. The forest was stunning, and the drive up was beautiful. Tony was always one step ahead, communicating before we even had any questions, and he was flexible too. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone interested in coming up to this area.

Our favorite part about this cabin is how secluded it was! Our dog loved watching the deer and sitting by the fire with us late at night. The hot tub on the deck under the roof was perfect to enjoy the rain in. Will definitely be back!

Was a little hard to spot the cottage but the host stayed on the phone with us guiding us till we found it. The bath water did have an interesting smell which I didn’t love. Tony’s place was just as described! My kids had fun staying in the loft and we had a quiet bedroom to ourselves. Hot tub was great. Dogs loved being out in the wilderness. Tony gave us a heads up about a fire ban which was sad but super helpful and necessary. Great hosts and great place!

This home is in a very beautiful setting. The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It has the feel of a rustic cabin in the woods, and is nicely decorated, but not “glamorous” in any way. We were greeted upon arrival, and in the morning, by a small herd of deer! The drive up the mountain to get there is spectacular. Tony was a very responsive host. We would stay here again if it worked with our travel plans.

Perfect spot for a getaway with our two active pups! We very much enjoyed our hikes through the woods with scenic views, time outside at the convenient fire pit, and relaxing in the cabin by the fire. The cabin is an incredibly quaint and charming structure, with its beautiful wooden A-frame, expansive windows, and spacious and functional porch. The inside of the cabin is efficient yet open, allowing for cozy and comfortable living for the two of us (+ two dogs) for a few nights. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some of our favorite meals and make our favorite drinks 😉 Though, worth noting that expectations of spotlessness should be managed given the rustic nature of this being a cabin in the woods. Most significantly, Tony is a fantastic host! He was welcoming, responsive, generous, and flexible with our last minute requests about check-in time or extending our stay. We would definitely consider returning in the future if Tony would have us!

My husband and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Tony’s cabin. Tony was an amazing host and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for the trip. Tony gave recommendations on places to eat, and was very quick to respond to any questions/concerns. The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed the outdoor firepit and indoor fireplace, we used both multiple times. The bed was very comfortable and had very fluffy pillows, which was super nice as well. This cabin also has very good views for stargazing when the sky is clear. The internet worked well, I was able to stream Netflix easily, and we were also able to stream the NFL game on Prime without issue. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this cabin. Also, hiking at devil’s nose (about 1hr away) was well worth the drive, and had a beautiful overlook.

Nice cozy cabin with a fireplace, along with a kitchen that’s great for cooking. There was nonstop rain the weekend we came, and we still thoroughly enjoyed just lounging around in the cabin.

This cabin is in a beautiful area, on a wonderful piece of property – remote, quiet, and serene. The couch and indoor fireplace are so comfy, and Tony is a great host – with strong communication and care shown to his guests.

Great location for just staying in. Very private. Also great to explore local points of interest. Great Cacapon Resort State Park has an amazing overlook and lots of hiking. PawPaw Tunnel is a neat site and history interesting. Berkeley Springs has some neat shops and restaurants. The Historic Star Theatre is a unique theatre lost in time. All in all a great spot to stay in or plenty to explore.

Our stay was quite enjoyable. The cabin is quite private and set in a beautiful corner of the mountain. The cabin is well supplied and well appointed. The kitchen has the basics needed to create most meals. The furniture and beds are comfortable and in good condition. All the mechanical systems that we used functioned properly. The highlights of the cabin are the very spacious deck and the porch swing. Although the view from the deck is of the forest, the view changed throughout the day as the sun rose from behind the cabin and set in the front. This made enjoying coffee in the morning and tea after dinner great experiences. We anticipate returning in the future!

Tony’s cabin was a wonderful place to stay! Very cozy and well kept, and the sofa will just pull you in (it’s massively comfortable!!!). The cabin is also really remote – almost 20 minutes driving from any major road – which makes it very quiet and calm. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay in this area!!

This was our third stay at Tony’s cabin; my partner’s first time. As the family chef he was particularly thrilled with the kitchen set up. The dogs had a wonderful time as they always do. We enjoyed the cool weather and already changing leaves.

Our second stay at the cabin, and another wonderful time. The dogs had so much fun, and we enjoyed the wildlife and mushrooms around the cabin. It was easy to schedule a grocery pick up to grab on our way into town. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing cabin in WV! I’ve stayed in another cabin in the Berkeley Springs area at the same price point but Tony’s cabin blew that one out of the park. Easy to get to, squeaky clean, well stocked with essentials and excellent communication from the host. Felt very comfortable and cozy there, didn’t need a thing! Loved the well equipped kitchen (Sharp knives! and I could have made a 3 course meal for a crowd from scratch with the tools pots/pans and dishes provided) No complaints from me will likely be returning.

This cabin is one of the most well-appointed and well-located cabins I’ve stayed at in the Shenandoah region. It’s nicely removed from the closest town (but you can still get to grocery stores in under 30 mins) and nestled in gorgeous woods with no visible nearby neighbors. We were visited by a family of deer every day. That said, the cabin has reliable and strong AC, a fully appointed kitchen, streaming services on the TV, and Wi-Fi. The porch has a lovely swing set, along with other seating options and a gate if you want to keep the pup from running after the deer. Cozy and isolated, with a very responsive and accommodating host – you can’t go wrong at Tony’s cabin.

Genuinely one of the best air bnb experiences I’ve had. Very clean, lots of space to get away. The cabin is a really good size and not too far away from some good swimming spots. The communication was the best part, they answered every question in a timely manner and were incredibly friendly. 10/10 would stay again

This is a great little cabin to stay for a few days. Tony was very helpful, checked in on us occasionally via text but also gave us our space. He communicated well and was very accommodating. This cabin is secluded enough to feel far away from the rest of the world with also the convenience of just a 20-30 min drive into town. The deck out front is beautiful. We ate all our meals out on it. We used the propane grill to cook dinner each night. The kitchen is also stocked with all of your general cooking needs like utensils, bowls, pans, and such. The fire pit out front is huge with 4 Adirondack chairs around it. The deer visited us a few times while we were sitting around the fire. Inside the cabin: everything was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of blankets and pillows to go around. Things I appreciated about the bathroom: Shampoo and Body Wash dispensers in the shower, plenty of towels and wash cloths for everyone, and the washer/dryer. There was laundry detergent and dish washer pods available as well. The living area had a very spacious and comfortable couch with a TV for the times you want to stay in. They have a Roku hooked up to the TV as well, so you can log in to Hulu, Netflix etc. I would definitely recommend this place for a simple yet comfortable stay in West Virginia.

The cabin is fantastic. The location is excellent. Overall very peaceful and quiet. Bring firewood if you want to use their firepit. Saw wildlife everyday. If your looking to get away from the noise and hassle, this is the perfect place.

If you want a place to get away from it all this is the spot. It reminded me of going to my grandparents cabin. Tony had everything you would need and it was clean and tidy. Just what we were looking for.

The cabin is on a nice quite acreage with tall trees providing a high canopy. The generous fire ring and the large deck give you plenty of reason to be outside!

Had an awesome stay at the cabin – wish I had more time there. just driving to it was an adventure in itself, ascending and descending through the windy mountain roads, pulling over at times just to try and take it all in (appropriately of course 😀). Cabin itself is in a small, remote community but I only saw or heard neighbors when they drove by, I was engulfed in the wonderful array of different birds and frogs/toads, depending on time of day – also occasional chainsaw unfortunately. You can spend about an hour walking the cabin property and discovering things like Huckleberry bushes and Red spotted newts. Cabin itself is spacious, comfortable and clean for a Cabin 😉. Has all the amenities of home. Located near some large parks/forests like Green Ridge, which we hiked some of on day 2, and I think you can walk around near the property as well through public lands if you don’t want to drive but you’d have to walk on public, commercial access roads (would ask Tony though) Tony was a great host, very communicative if you needed him, super friendly too. My only comment is I felt there was more outdoorsy things to do/places to explore in the area – my All Trails app showed several hiking trails, parks etc… within 30 +/- min drive, but cabin info packet listed maybe 3, one of which I couldn’t bring my dog to so having a bit more knowledge of the areas outdoorsy stuff would only help others with options of things to do (and yes I could’ve done a better job at homework!! 😬). Not a complaint but I noticed parts of the area seem very conservative so just keep an open mind when exploring because the cabin, the locale are totally worth the time money to experience!

My young children, dog and I had a great, short stay at Tony’s cabin. Check-in was a breeze, Tony was quick to communicate, and the cabin was very clean. We were only there for a short stay but would have been comfortable staying longer. My dog enjoyed sitting out on the deck. I was worried about my minivan with low clearance making it up the street and down the driveway but it wasn’t a problem at all. I was surprised at how clean the cabin was given the rustic setting. We would definitely stay here again.

Stay was wonderful!!

Lovely private location surrounded by young oak, blackgum trees and the calls of local birds. Nearby hiking trails were enjoyable and weren’t busy. The kitchen truly had all you could need. Quick and easy communication with host and super simple checkin. 4/5 only because of strong scent from 5 air fresheners but, I am sure they could be removed ahead of time if you’re sensitive to scents. Waking up to the birds and napping on the porch swing in the light rain were my favorite. Perfect place for a nature get away with all modern the amenities you need.

Great cabin stay. Excellent communication by Tony, clear instructions. Enjoyed a weekend of hiking and relaxing by the fire. For those with dogs, the deck is amazing & comes with a gate attached to gate off the stairs. Lots of bone chewing in the sunshine while we relaxed and read.

Nice spot away from the bustle. Tony was great — responsive and helpful and gave us some great tips on local spots to check out. Would stay again. One thing to note is that this is ~25 mins outside of Berkeley Springs.

We enjoyed staying here for a few days, as we are gathering ideas to build our own log cabin. We appreciated the clear communication with our host, and the ease of checking in (lockbox code for key). The property was just as you would expect a rustic cabin to be. We had everything we needed to cook and grill all of our meals there and we brought wood for both and indoor and outdoor fire. The long dining table, large sectional sofa, and extra beds (although we didn’t utilize) were all nice features. The area was very quiet with the exception of a new construction down the road but it really wasn’t a big bother and was intermittent. We had fun biking on the hills all around the area. Holy moly! 🙂

The stay was amazing and a nice getaway from the city with ample land to have privacy and some really nice hikes writhing 30 mins of this location. Tony was a great host and was really responsive when ever I reached out. The cabin it’s self was spacious and beautiful.

Tony’s place is really cozy and just what we needed to escape and unwind. Close to several state forests and other hiking spots, close enough to Berkeley Springs to go out for a good meal. Easy to find and easy to check in and check out. We booked last minute and Tony was really accommodating and helpful.

Wonderful cabin and even better then described! Very secluded cabin in the woods with everything you need to relax! Perfect location for exploring the mountains and parks! 10 out of 10!

Was a 11/10, the house is super clean and has everything you’ll need. The views are beautiful and the host Tony is super responsive and helpful! We brought our dog and had such a great night, it’s such a cute and well maintained home the stay was amazing! We totally recommend this or any other of Tony’s places as they have all been amazing thus far! We look forward to our next visit!

Great place nestled in the WV hills. Perfect place for a lovely quiet getaway!!

This cabin is truly almost heaven, West Virginia. The cabin is located quite literally in the middle of nowhere to the point where you can barely see or hear any neighbors. Still, we felt safe staying in a residential community. You can’t beat the porch or the large fire pit at any time of the day. Would definitely stay here again!

Great get-away close to DC. I kind of want to keep it to myself. 🙂 You can see a great starry night sky. Clean and comfy.
