My husband and I had the whole place to ourselves for our anniversary week, and while it is definitely big enough to bring the family (we thought already of coming back with them), it is a cozy yet airy space that feels intimate enough for just two people. The kitchen has all the tools necessary to cook breakfast (or every meal) everyday, and while it is definitely off the beaten trail, it’s not difficult to get there, even in the aftermath of last week’s icy snowstorm. We enjoyed the jacuzzi a couple of times and the pool table. Mostly we were in town during the day, but it was relaxing in the mornings and evenings. Wish we could have taken advantage of all of the amenities like the porch, grill, and firepit, but maybe if we come back with the fam 🙂

A nice and peaceful weekend away. However, the house was a bit smaller and more worn than it appeared in the photos, though it did accommodate our group of eight adults and one toddler. The biggest issue was the kitchen, which was advertised as fully equipped for cooking. Unfortunately, there were not enough forks or drinking glasses for a house meant to sleep ten, and there were no pot holders, which made cooking difficult and unsafe.
We raised these concerns during our stay, and Tony was responsive and quick to reply. We were advised to purchase plastic forks and were told we would be reimbursed, which we appreciated. However, there was no solution provided for the lack of pot holders, and several of us nearly burned ourselves while cooking. Additionally, the bathrooms could have been cleaner upon arrival.

This was our second time staying at the cabin in Berkeley Springs. It was even better than the last!! Tony is always responsive, friendly and helpful. The cabin was as pictured, clean and nicely decorated. They added more decor and a hot tub since our last visit, that was a big plus!
The area is so peaceful and has beautiful views at the private lake you can use. We came in September so the docks were put up for the season but the fishing was still great! (Esp. If you’re looking for bass, bluegill and sun fish) . The little beach there is perfect for kids. It was a tad over grown with weeds popping thru the sand but that made for a fun activity with our toddler plucking them out!!
Eventually we ventured out to the local restaurants and state parks. Cacapon State Park is a must see! It’s huge and has something for every age. If you’re into History check out Americas first spa at Berkeley Springs State Park. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

We enjoyed spending a few days away from the hustle and bustle. The house was very private with quiet surroundings. The only issues were the sofa was really stained and the master shower was leaking water all over the floor. The owners did respond quickly about the shower issue but due to our length of stay no one was able to come fix the issue. I would recommend the property and would return.

We stayed here with a few friends and had an amazing time! The house was spotless, comfortable, and in a fantastic location. Just a short walk away, there’s a small lake perfect for fishing and relaxing by the water. Downtown was a pleasant surprise — charming shops, lively bars, and a great local vibe. We especially loved having a brewery nearby! Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Huge thanks to Tony and the Blue Maple team for being so responsive and helpful. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!

For my first time staying at an AirBNB Tony’s cabin really exceeded my expectations. Very Spacious, everything works, all services listed were really there. Me and my friends really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. We grilled on the beautiful patio. Overall just great experience wish I stayed longer.

3 separate sleeping spaces with full bathrooms on 3 separate floors. And the hot tub was clean and hot!!
It is 3 minutes to the main roadway to go either east to Berkeley Springs or west to Winchester. Very convenient.

My stay at Tony’s place was great overall. We experienced a couple issues during the stay, and Tony and his team were prompt in solving the issues and fair in solutions. The house was nice. Everything worked. We had a nice fire at the fire pit and the hot tub was nice as well. All in all I would stay again. 9/10!

Great location! Place was very cozy and surrounded by nature. Very easy to find. There were a couple things that stood out however.
There were some items, such as the outside light on the porch that was not working and it made it difficult for us to grill. The fridge also seemed to be a little faulty, our food was never really cold. The freezer portion was fine. Pool table is very outdated, be careful of splinters when reaching for the balls.
Jacuzzi worked great! Gas grill was also nice. Kitchen was nicely stocked with plates and pots. The ambiance of the place was also great.

Well kept rustic cabin right in the heart of Berkeley Springs. The fire pit and hot tub were big hits with my kids! We loved making smores and fishing in the small lake at the bottom of the hill. Can’t beat the location right next to the State park. Highly recommend! So peaceful at night in the woods with the crickets.

Overall, we had a great stay. We had trouble with the code provided for the lock box but we evevtually got the correct code after a couple of phone calls. Good location which felt sonewhat remote but was close enough to parks, groceries and restaurants.

We truly enjoyed ourselves at the cabin rental! The cabin is beautiful and the lay out was great for our family. The pool table and hot tub was a plus we enjoyed. We spent more time outside then we even thought we would. The beds are comfy and the privacy can’t be beat! We also enjoyed the private lake. We will be back!

Nice location for our weekend away. Tony’s very helpful, communicative and responsive. Instructions for everything were clear. I would have preferred better cleaning as there was a lot of party confetti around the house and deck. Hot tub was clean and chlorinated. We didn’t get to use the grill because it was very dirty and didn’t light up properly. We didn’t use the fire pit because of heavy winds during our stay. The lake is very small, more of a large pond, but it is very peaceful and beautiful.

We stayed at Tony’s cabin with a large group of friends and had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The property was very clean and spacious. Tony did a fantastic job at communicating and was very accommodating. I’d highly recommend staying at this property, and I hope to go back in the future!

Positive:
Instructions were very clear. The area is quiet. There were beds and bathrooms on each of the floors. The towels and bedsheets were cleaned and there was soap and shampoo in each bathroom. Very convenient grill area on the deck.
Negative:
Check in at 4pm and checkout at 10am. The lake is small and stagnant. Master bedroom can get noisy because it's on the second floor next to the living room and the plumbing running from the above floor is located in its closet.

Positive:
The cabin is spacious and had nice amenities: games, pool table, hot tub, lake access. The deck on the front made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. There were plenty of clean towels available. The beds were comfortable. The house manual sent by the owner gave great information to make the entire trip easier and more comfortable.
Negative:
There wasn’t a frying pan available for cooking eggs. The bedrooms spread throughout three levels so our little ones were separated from each other and us. The living room has an awkward arrangement that makes enjoying the television difficult.

Tony’s place was perfect for our annual reunion. Quiet surroundings, but still easy to get to downtown Berkeley Springs. Tony was super helpful and proactively reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. Place was clean and ready for us on time. Internet was solid the whole time.

We ended our trip a day earlier than planed. This home needs some maintenance and as mentioned in some other reviews, the photos are deceiving about the condition. In almost every room we found something in need of repair or cleaning. Some of the most notable items: the kitchen range hood was horribly dirty. The walls and trim really need attention, the floor tiles are coming up, dining table chairs need fixed/replaced. We found the hot tub water to be a green and very cloudy. On the grounds, there were areas where we found broken glass and rusty metal, including an area of broken glass as you step off the back deck beside the hot tub - be cautious with kids or dogs. We contacted the management company with photos and they were very responsive. They sent someone out in about 30 minutes to drain and re-fill the hot tub. The location is great for accessing Berkeley Springs and the Great Cacapon park, the property management company is responsive, but the home is in need of TLC.

It would be hard to list all the broken or poorly maintained aspects of this home. Most notable were the washed out driveway entrance causing our cars to bottom out no matter how you approach it, the listing stating that it accommodates 10 when there are only 4 random drinking glasses, one wine glass, etc. Then the 1970s kitchen and tables which are broken or about to break, doors that don't work, a pool table with only one unbroken cue stick, the hot tub left partially filled with the cover in the yard, and so on.
As others have written the listing states the door code is in the owner's manual. Like them we were silly enough to not confirm this before arriving in the evening. The manual states that the code will be sent with the welcome message that was never sent. So we endured a period of wondering if we needed a hotel before the service team replied. The also offered a late checkout, then various excuses for why the could not, finally blaming the "system".

The pictures were misleading compared to the actual property. Additionally, this property was advertised as exclusive with a private lake, which is not accurate. The lake/stream is actually shared by the community and is not directly near the house. The water was dirty and stagnant. Overall, I was extremely disappointed and felt this was mostly false advertising. The jacuzzi could barely fit one person (two at most) and was just a cheap, store-bought product. I suggest the owner update the description to provide a more accurate representation of what to expect. Props to the photographer for making the place look much nicer than it is—I’d hire them! Overall, it was not a great experience, and I won’t be staying here again.

We were so excited to stay in West Virginia. We seen this place on Airbnb so we booked it. We arrived in the am after a 7 hour drive around 4am. It was pitch black, the lock wasn’t working. We waited 25 minutes and finally got it to work. When we got into the house, we looked around there were cobwebs in the corners of each room. There was only one in the house, which was the living room that didn’t work. I tried connecting to the Wi-Fi because there’s no connection there and it didn’t work. We finally said let’s just go lay down and we’ll figure out where to go tomorrow. We go to lay on the bed, not even a minute, laying on the bed a 2 black mice run out of the closet and run back in. My husband jumped on the bed and was screaming. We both could not believe what we just seen. We ran out of the house so quick. We weren’t even there for 10 minutes and seen two mice. We then had to drive 42 minutes to the nearest hotel. It was honestly a nightmare and ended up ruining our trip.

What a peaceful place to stay. The hot tub is the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen at an airbnb. We loved having pretty hikes and a cute town nearby.

We had a great stay! Tucked away in the woods on a hillside. Very close to Berkeley Springs. Kitchen had all you needed to cook. Loved the area and private lake.

Nice location for our weekend away. Tony’s very helpful, communicative and responsive. Instructions for everything were clear. I would have preferred better cleaning as there was a lot of party confetti around the house and deck. Hot tub was clean and chlorinated. We didn’t get to use the grill because it was very dirty and didn’t light up properly. We didn’t use the fire pit because of heavy winds during our stay. The lake is very small, more of a large pond, but it is very peaceful and beautiful.

My partner and I gathered our adult and young children and grandchildren together for a wonderful family dinner. The location was perfect and convenient to town. Very dog and family friendly.

Tony was super responsive! The location was serene, the view was great and had the best beds we’ve stayed in at an Airbnb. The house itself could use some TLC, a deep clean and more/new seating options in the living room.

The beds were comfy and linens clean and fresh. House smelled good. Toiletries and kitchen supplies were good to have. Nice hot tub.. Owner was very responsive and kept in touch.
Negative:
Place was a little run down, dust in corners and rugs. Overhead lights in basement where "twin" beds are wouldn't work.

We stayed at Tony’s cabin with a large group of friends and had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The property was very clean and spacious. Tony did a fantastic job at communicating and was very accommodating. I’d highly recommend staying at this property, and I hope to go back in the future!

It was a wonderful getaway for my 30th birthday to relax unwind and be away from the world. Lots of boardgames, the billiards table was a wonderful additive for our evening along with the hot tub.

Proximity to the park and hiking trails. Host was accommodating.
Negative:
Neighboring houses are close to each other, and our rented house faces the road so there is traffic. The hot tub also faces the road and visible from the street without a privacy screen. The kitchen utilities and supplies could be better, gas grill was dirty & tank almost empty

Positive:
Instructions were very clear. The area is quiet. There were beds and bathrooms on each of the floors. The towels and bedsheets were cleaned and there was soap and shampoo in each bathroom. Very convenient grill area on the deck.
Negative:
Check in at 4pm and checkout at 10am. The lake is small and stagnant. Master bedroom can get noisy because it's on the second floor next to the living room and the plumbing running from the above floor is located in its closet.

check in was very easy. beautiful view while having morning coffee on the deck, lots of deer. place was very dusty and lots of cob webs. horrible walk down to the lake and that is not beach! one walk down there and back up was very hard on my husband and myself. we really enjoyed watching a movie one night all together as a family but the couch was very uncomfortable and not any comfy place to sit. the kitchen was great, it had everything we needed. we did run out of hot water after only 2 people showered and a few of us had cold showers. we did enjoy the bonfire and we all gathered and had s'mores. all in all it was a great weekend with our kids and grand kids and it will always be a beautiful memory.

The place was ok. I kinda felt “catfished” the pics listed were taken in really great lighting and with a great camera. The home is definitely much older looking than appears on pics. The layout of the beds in the basement were inaccurate, listing says two double beds with a pull out. The couch there did not pull out and the beds are twin sizes. Both of them. The fans in the basement are so loose and noisy had to turn them off. We couldn’t find extra linens not sure if we missed it or what. The kitchen was fully stocked. So that was great. So overall for the length of my stay (1 night) it was ok. I probably wouldn’t book this place again though.

Positive:
The cabin is spacious and had nice amenities: games, pool table, hot tub, lake access. The deck on the front made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. There were plenty of clean towels available. The beds were comfortable. The house manual sent by the owner gave great information to make the entire trip easier and more comfortable.
Negative:
There wasn’t a frying pan available for cooking eggs. The bedrooms spread throughout three levels so our little ones were separated from each other and us. The living room has an awkward arrangement that makes enjoying the television difficult.

Beautiful location. Friendly owner. Place was nice but for $1234.00 for 2 nights , it was the most expensive of our 19 Berkley Springs stays. I was expecting so much more but had a great Father's Day with my Family. So if you select, just make sure you see it as is, not what is was.

Tony’s place was perfect for our annual reunion. Quiet surroundings, but still easy to get to downtown Berkeley Springs. Tony was super helpful and proactively reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. Place was clean and ready for us on time. Internet was solid the whole time.

We had a few issues, but the host was able to work with us. The propane grill had wood ash in the bottom of it and destroyed the gas lines making it unusable, and the two propane tanks were empty. After talking with the management company, they brought out two full tanks and a new grill for us to use. In this instance they were extremely helpful, but I believe their cleaners are seriously lacking. There was cigarette ash in the bedroom and a completely burned pan of who knows how old chicken left in the oven. One of the bedrooms also had an odd odor in it. The handrail was also entirely detached from the wall at the bottom of the stairs, and the handrail at the top of the stairs was wobbly enough that if you would lean your full weight on it, you would fall through. The hot tub was fantastic and clean, and the location is perfect. The private lake made for great fishing!! I expected more for the price point and am slightly disappointed by what we received.

We recently stayed at Tony’s place, and while there were a couple of minor problems with the house, Tony was very responsive, and we appreciated that very much. Tony’s place was clean, spacious for a family of eight (8), and had some good views. It fell a little short of our expectations based on the advertised price. While I can understand the rates being on the higher end for Memorial Day weekend, I feel compelled to share my thoughts.
It felt as though the common areas of the property haven’t been maintained well and appeared older than the pictures posted. While the kitchen was adequate, we felt it lacked some essential items.
Despite these concerns, I do want to acknowledge Tony for being responsive when we encountered a couple issues during our stay. He promptly addressed problems such as a malfunctioning heater and power outlets that did not work, which we appreciated. Overall, our family had a good time and we enjoyed spending time sitting around the fire pit outside.

Tony was a great host! Very proactive in preparing for our arrival and immediately responsive to our few questions.
We really enjoyed the cabin. It had a nice amount of beds for the size and they were all comfortable! A great place to come back to after spending the day out in the state park nearby.
