Perfect size A-frame cabin just right for couples. Photos were accurate for the most part it was clean, spacious, and had the classic cabin feel. Kitchen and bathroom. Are stocked with everything you need. The surrounding mountains and views from the porch and fire pit were stunning perfect distance for Berkeley Springs. The only negative is how deep the stairs are, there was no warning of this or pictures. It was manageable for us as a young couple however, I’m afraid that older couples or those with pets would have a hard time getting up and down the stairs otherwise perfect for a getaway and I highly recommend

Overall a great stay! Pictures accurately represent the cabin and surrounding area. Yes the stairs are steep but wasn’t a problem for me or my dog. And yes there is a power line nearby but didn’t bother me. I was aware of both at time of booking. Perfect location for visiting Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs. All very dog friendly! I used the TV, WIFI, Bluetooth speaker, grill and fire pit during stay. All worked great! I did not use hot tub but looked clean. Tony was very responsive before and during my stay. Only slight negative is the indoor temperature control/air flow. AC was not ideal. Only 1 unit in main bedroom. Unit wasn’t able to cool downstairs and was too loud to keep on through night. Just something to keep in mind for summer months. Otherwise the cabin was a wonderful woodland escape for me and my pup!

Tonys cabin was beautiful! The view was breathtaking and when we first arrived I was amazed at the location. It was just enough space for the two of us. The fire-pit was nice to relax at with the string lights. We also loved the A-frame design of the house. WiFi worked well. The water pressure in the shower was great, just make note it’s a small shower stall! The only complaint we had our whole stay was just that it was a bit too warm throughout the cabin, the AC unit was perfect for the bedroom but didn’t quite reach downstairs. Overall, we had a great time this weekend!!

Very charming cabin in the woods, with all amenities one can need: a nice grill, nice jacuzzi and a great fire pit outside.
The cabin is comfortable nice TV, internet and board games, so it’s easy to get comfy.

This was a nice little getaway for our long weekend. It was easy to get to and not too far from the State Park and Berkeley Springs. It was both rustic and private. Amenities worked well. Our pup loved exploring all the outdoor space; however, the steps upstairs to the bedrooms were too steep and not too dog-friendly. The hot tub was wonderful, especially on cooler days. Of note to anyone with a noise/hearing sensitivity, you can hear a mild buzz from the power lines when sitting outside. Overall, it was an enjoyable accommodation for the weekend!

Our trip was a last minute plan and booking and I feel fortunate to have found this place! We wanted a cabin with a hot tub and it was a bonus that we could bring our dog and have a spectacular view! The location is very close to Cacapon State Park which offers hiking and an overlook from the mountain top ridge. It was also very convenient having the Dollar General so close for last minute groceries and snacks. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Had a great stay at the cabin! It was a great spot for our little girls weekend. One minor note is that it had a pretty strong chemical cleaner smell when we first arrived so we had to air things out a bit, but everything was great otherwise!

Tony’s place was beautiful! The hot tub worked perfectly (which doesn’t always happen when you stay places) and the inside was so well decorated. I would absolutely stay here again! It’s the perfect place to get away for a little bit and the service worked very well also considering we were in the woods. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was exactly as described—clean, peaceful, and with beautiful views. The amenities were a huge plus, we especially loved the hot tub, fire pit, and grill. It was quiet and remote enough to be peaceful but still close driving distance to the town to check out local restaurants and breweries, which was nice. It made for such a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Our pup really enjoyed it as well, love that the place is dog friendly.
Tony was a fantastic host: responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.
We’ll definitely be back!

Tony was thourough, responsible and attentive. Def would book another site with him. The cabin was just what we needed for a quick getaway. The jacuzzi was perfect for two people. The options for streaming were plentiful. Would love to go back when the fall leaves are turning. Only negative was the very vertical stairs up to the bedrooms- our dogs couldn’t do that on their own. Thank you for a nice experience !

I’m a commercial truck driver and desperately needed to get away from the highway for a few days. Tony’s cabin was exactly what I needed!!!!! My husband and I both enjoyed our time there, it was peaceful, quiet and private!!! We took our little min pin with us and even he felt right at home!!! Everthing was perfectly as described and Tony even includes incredibly helpful recommendations for local attractions!!! We had dinner at Proof on Washington and lunch at Mythical Pizza…. BOTH were amazing!!! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tony, his cabin and Berkeley Springs!!!! We stayed Thursday to Sunday and honestly, it was so perfect, we could live there!!! 10/10!!! 🥰🥰🥰

The Hawk’s Nest was very quaint, cute, and a good 3 day getaway in the berkley springs area! The house gave us a nice & quiet place to stay and enjoy the surrounding nature area. If you’re not staying in and making your own meals, there are plenty of options 15-ish minutes away from the property!
It was our first time staying in an A- frame structure, so maybe we didn’t know what to expect. However, the listing allows pets and stairs in the house are very steep and are slightly unsafe for dogs (and even humans) to navigate on their own.
During our stay, there were heavy winds for 2 of the 3 days. While we know no one can control Mother Nature, we just want to let everyone know that you should bring extra blankets/hoodies as there is a pretty significant draft in the house. It’s easy to feel the wind out of all 3 doors in the house.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay! It’s great for a couple to explore nature.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was exactly as listed and described: extremely cozy, well secluded, and very private, which we really appreciated. We only used the main bed, but it was very comfortable and the space was impressively clean. The minimalist design worked beautifully, and everything was thoughtfully set up to make efficient use of the space. Overall, a really lovely and well-done cabin.

This was the perfect weekend trip. Great location as far as close enough to town but far enough away. The cabin could use a few updates but everything was functioning. This definitely wouldn’t have worked if we took the kids due to the stairs being very steep inside but it was a perfect kid free trip.

This place was very nice for a quick weekend in Berkeley Springs, WV! We came for the historic town, hiking, and nature. The A-frame cabin was about 10-20 mins away from most things, so perfect for privacy in the woods while also being close to groceries, town, cafe, lots of hiking, and swimming holes. The cabin is in a very picturesque spot with lovely views of the ridge for sunrises/sunsets – especially from the hot tub and balconies! The one downside about the view is that it is next to power lines, so while you get the open views, you also have this static/humming from the lines (thankfully it only lasts a few mins at a time). It is awesome that this place welcomes dogs because we brought ours and she loved it. The cabin is clean and cozy and had the basics. If you are planning on cooking something very specific, you might want to bring some extra kitchen utensils and spices. Overall, it was a nice getaway in the woods and great for a weekend stay!

A great setting overlooking a beautiful mountain view, although there are high-voltage power lines adjacent to the property that are in the line of view and make loud buzzing noises that you notice when outside the house.
The hot-tub was clean and in great shape!
The bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and are slightly difficult to access simply due to the shape of the house and how the stairs are built, definitely check that out before renting as it could be a limiting factor.
Overall a great experience with Tony as our host!

I absolutely loved my stay! The cabin is super cute and in a beautiful location. Great place for relaxing and close to lots of nice trails and hikes. Toby was a great host! Only flag is that the ladder to the upstairs is steep, so you likely won’t be able to get your dog up there any may struggle if you have mobility challenges.

Loved this spot, it needs a few repairs, but I was expecting them from a couple of reviews I read.
When we first arrived, the house was freezing. The door upstairs was left open, I don’t know if it was on purpose, or if the wind swung it open, but after that, it took the house a few hours to warm back up again. For the price, this was exactly what I was expecting, and there was a lot of privacy.
We really wanted to use the hot tub but it seemed like the water level was too low, so unfortunately, I couldn’t get it up and running. the door frame could use a nail because it was falling off. The TV is just a little finicky, but we managed to figure it out. We ordered from mythical pizza and picked up from the local Chinese spot. watch out for the stairs if you are over around 6 foot or elderly. overall, functional spot for my needs, and a really nice get away with for couples.

Tony’s A-frame house was the perfect little getaway in Berkeley Springs. We really enjoyed the private location as well as the amenities included. The hot tub was the best especially on a chilly autumn evening after a nice dinner in town. It was 15-20 min from town & very accessible & easy to find. Furniture was company & cozy & the Bluetooth speaker was a plus as we listened to tunes while cooking breakfast in the homey little kitchen. We would visit again!

The place was very cute and the jacuzzi was great. That being said it’s definitely a rustic cabin in need of quite a bit of tlc. For the price we paid, I was a little shocked by the condition it was in and it’s quite small. If it was half the price I’d say it was perfect but they are charging luxury cabin prices for a fixer upper. For instance the place was in need of a paint job and there were holes in the ceiling filled with styrofoam. The bathroom was extremely basic. I thought we were getting a luxury cabin and it’s definitely not that. That being said, it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Very private. The power lines were disclosed but definitely disrupt an otherwise perfect view. I picked this over a much cheaper place because I thought it would be a lot nicer and clearly should have gone for the other place. So for the right price I’d stay again but don’t be fooled by the really well done photos.

My wife and I were looking for a quick private getaway to the mountains and this cabin and location were a perfect fit. Compared to other lodgings, it was very easy to get and out of the cabin’s location, which is perched right along top of the ridgeline. It doesn’t take too long to get to Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park is very close by. The cabin has a wonderful view of the mountain to the west.
Tony was very attentive and provided excellent instructions for using the hot tub, the features of the cabin and provided a summary of local attractions. Excellent host! We would be happy to stay again. Thanks!

Tony’s place was really nice. His communication was solid. The area was visually beautiful, I loved the jakoozi, and I thought the A frame shape home was adorable. A couple things to consider
1) Tony warns people that the power lines are visible (I was prepared for that and wasn’t bothered), however, my friend and I were sensitive to the sound of electricity crackling in the out door atmosphere and we were also sensitive to the feel of the electricity in the atmosphere.
2) the way the stairs are they run up along the side of the slanted A frame, so just have to be mindful of climbing up to the 2nd floor bedrooms.
Overall a nice place if you don’t mind feeling the electricity

We loved that this cabin was *actually* private. There were no neighbors that could be seen, or heard, from the property. The clear-cut field behind the cabin allowed for great views of the mountains and the night sky. The cabin itself was as pictured and described. The kitchen and bath were basic and functional. The bed was very comfortable. My only caveat: If you have mobility issues, the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor are steep and awkward.
Over all, it was the rustic getaway that we were looking for, and we look forward to returning.

The cabin was very nice and cozy, albeit a bit tight. No washer and dryer, but not a big deal for a short trip. The place was peaceful but not as secluded from the main road as I had anticipated, but there are no visible neighbors.

This is a cool A-frame AirBnB near Cacapon Resort State Park. My partner and I came here for a long weekend of mountain biking at the park. The AirBnB is located very close to the park (less than 10 minutes) and close to Berkeley Springs (less than 20 minutes to downtown). We were happy with the location. However, the place is very small – much smaller than I was expecting and I cannot imagine 6 people staying here. 4 would be pushing it. 2 was comfortable and fine. The house is unique and a good use of space, albeit older and in need of updates. The stairs to the upper level are kind of steep and it’s annoying to carry anything upstairs (where the bedrooms are) or to walk down the stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. It would be hard to get upstairs if you are elderly or have any disabilities. It was fine for us, but might not work for others.

This cabin in wonderful, and I’m glad we chose to stay here during our stop in Berkeley Springs. The location is tranquil and has a gorgeous view to sit and enjoy with a cup of tea. Tony was friendly and helpful with our booking, and made us feel very welcome. The cabin is in a quiet location, but an easy trip into town allows you to enjoy the local restaurants, shops, and fun feel of this artsy town. At the end of the day, being able to unwind in the hot tub and soak in some nature makes this the perfect peaceful getaway. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The cabin was the perfect little getaway that my sister and I had been looking for. The hot tub was easy to use and had beautiful views of the mountains. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit outside since there were severe winds and a wild fire advisory, but the wood stove inside still let us enjoy a fire to make s’mores on. The kitchen was big enough, it had some leftover seasonings (salt&pepper) and tea/coffee from previous guests, but there was no foil or baking trays that we could find to use in the oven. The cabin has a check in of 4pm and a checkout of 10am, but you can pay $35 to check in two hours earlier or check out two hours later, the early check in was definitely worth it for us. Tony was super available for help and had recommendations for local hiking spots. The two twin beds were not very comfortable or secure, the slats in the bed frame would move about, but the main bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was fast for movie streaming.

Perfect getaway 🙂 There was a nice view, games, good internet, comfortable bed, all the kitchen supplies we needed, and was perfectly quiet and secluded. Everything was in good condition and working properly. The host is very responsive and helpful! We really enjoyed the hot tub and having a fire outside. The only thing to note is if there are little kids or dogs coming to be cautious of the stairs, but we didn’t have any concerns or issues during our stay. Definitely would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Hawk’s Nest! The cabin is very cute and cozy, and had everything we needed, including kitchen and bathroom supplies. We ended up needing to stay in a whole day of our trip due to weather (rainy, windy) and were perfectly comfortable. We enjoyed the size for the two of us, while it may seem smaller it was plenty of space for us! The views were lovely and the hot tub a nice added bonus. An easy drive into the town of Berkeley Springs and any conveniences nearby, but you may just opt to stay cozy at the cabin! My only note on the cabin itself is the steepness/ design of the stairs is better thought of as a latter (especially when going down). Tony’s communication/ assistance was perfect, we were provided with all the information we needed and were checked in on via text periodically throughout our stay. An overall wonderful and relaxing vacation at Hawk’s Nest!

Me and my partner had a wonderful Valentine’s Day/Birthday trip here (it’s definitely an amazing couples get away spot)! I absolutely love a-frame houses plus the interior made it feel so homey. The spot was super secluded with a gorgeous mountain view that you can see from the hot tub (my favorite). We would definitely come back and recommend for a relaxing get away!

The trip started off rough with a snow storm that hit– therefore the cleaners were unable to make it to the house to clean from the previous guest.
We went and got our own sheets and towels and it all worked out– other than that the stay was absolutely relaxing and amazing. The house was adorable. Hot tub was guest ready and even with the storm–the views were lovely! Thankfully Tony was very helpful and communicative through it all! What a relaxing weekend 🙂

Tony’s place was quiet and quaint and such a good location for a girls’ cabin weekend. We got 7-8” of snow and the view was beautiful and the hot tub was a great amenity to be snowed in with. Close to town with great local shops and food.

A quaint and cozy cabin perfect for a serene getaway! The cabin is clean and modern while keeping the rustic feel in tact, the views are stunning, and the hot tub is an added bonus— perfect for chilly evenings. We enjoyed walking through the wooded property with our dog, grilling dinners, and the silence of nature as an escape from city life. Tony was an excellent host, very communicative, and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, even offering suggestions of things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this place and hope to visit again in the near future!

The family and I wanted an escape from the city lifestyle and Tony’s place gave exactly what we needed. Very secluded and private. Tony was very responsive and friendly with all that we needed. The area doesn’t have much to offer but that just may be my city mindset speaking. Great place to stay and I will love to make my way back again!

Tony’s place was great! A true little private cabin in the woods. The loft was super fun to sleep in. Tony was unbelievably responsive. We checked in the night of Christmas Eve and upon arrival the power went out to the main level. Tony responded immediately on the holiday and had someone to the house within 30 minutes.
We spent a day at the house and a day adventuring.
It didn’t matter that we didn’t bring firewood bc there is so much brush and sticks in the woods of the home that our fire burned all day. The outdoor games (large Jenga and Connect 4) were fun, the hot tub was great!
The nearby areas has lots to do. A huge Antique and thrift mall in Hancock just 20 minutes away. Berkley Springs had adorable shops and restaurants. Cacapon State Park had a great hike to the fire tower and a gorgeous water fall entrance. Dollar General is just at the entrance about 1.5 miles from the house in case you forget anything. If your an outdoorsy person, this cabin is great!!!

Relaxing location with great views and quiet. We really enjoyed sitting around the firepit and the hot tub after a day of hiking and exploring the area. Tony provided easy instructions and was always available for any questions or recommendations.

We loved the place itself – the location and the view were awesome. The cabin was well stocked and nicely decorated. However, we booked the cabin because it had a hot tub and quickly discovered that the electric in the cabin was not equipped to handle the hot tub and caused the power to shut off, rendering it unusable. The power went out multiple times – Tony sent a handyman to address the issue who admitted that the power outages had been a problem since the hot tub was installed.
The power came back on after we switched the breakers 10-15 minutes after it shut off but we were basically playing a game with which breakers we could leave off to make sure the stove and refrigerator would stay on and spent a lot of time in the dark. Tony did reimburse us some of our payment but I would not recommend booking this facility unless Tony confirms that the electrical issues have been fixed. Especially in the winter where you could be stuck in a cabin with no heat.

The cabin had a beautiful view and a campfire pit. The cabin was perfectly nestled in the woods with enough space from any neighbors. It’s a great place to relax away from the city. Me and my friend had a great girls’ night with a bonfire and a view of the stars. Also, the host was very friendly and always attentive to our needs. We had a problem with the power but our host was quick and active in solving the problem. It was a great stay and we hope to come back again to West Virginia and to the cabin.

Cute little cabin, lots of privacy and beautiful views! It’s pretty basic but was just what we needed. The chlorine was a bit high so we only used the hot tub once, but it was still nice. A few things in need of repair but didn’t hurt our stay. Saw people complaining about bugs, but you’re in a cabin in the woods in WV so not sure what they expected? Tony was very friendly and quick to respond. If you’re looking for a quick getaway near Berkeley Springs and Cacapon park this is great!

Steps are difficult to climb to go upstairs, especially with a dog so be ready! Also, you’ll have to be very careful when upstairs otherwise you could get seriously injured. You cannot leave small children or pets unattended because they could fall down the steps.

the place was lovely. a few stains on the couch but that’s reasonable. I figured she also host parents with kid. the porch was my favorite. something about eating outside while it’s raining I love that. the hot tub was amazing. great temperature, lights were beautiful, great set up. be sure to bring your own wood, I brought my own an able 7 logs is good for a few hours. overall is was what me an my boyfriend needed an it was a delightful stay

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his birthday and it was the cutest cabin in the woods romantic vibe that I was looking for. The house was stocked with every outdoor game you could imagine and the hot tub with the lights and view was AMAZING!!!!! I would defiantly come back and bring my girls for a weekend and utilize the fire pit. 5/5 stars from us! Tony was also SUPER nice and responsive – he even let us check in 2 hours early for our convenience. He was also great in recommending local places for us to see. Great experience. Defiantly stay here if you can!!!!

Perfect size A-frame cabin just right for couples. Photos were accurate for the most part it was clean, spacious, and had the classic cabin feel. Kitchen and bathroom. Are stocked with everything you need. The surrounding mountains and views from the porch and fire pit were stunning perfect distance for Berkeley Springs. The only negative is how deep the stairs are, there was no warning of this or pictures. It was manageable for us as a young couple however, I’m afraid that older couples or those with pets would have a hard time getting up and down the stairs otherwise perfect for a getaway and I highly recommend

Overall a great stay! Pictures accurately represent the cabin and surrounding area. Yes the stairs are steep but wasn’t a problem for me or my dog. And yes there is a power line nearby but didn’t bother me. I was aware of both at time of booking. Perfect location for visiting Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs. All very dog friendly! I used the TV, WIFI, Bluetooth speaker, grill and fire pit during stay. All worked great! I did not use hot tub but looked clean. Tony was very responsive before and during my stay. Only slight negative is the indoor temperature control/air flow. AC was not ideal. Only 1 unit in main bedroom. Unit wasn’t able to cool downstairs and was too loud to keep on through night. Just something to keep in mind for summer months. Otherwise the cabin was a wonderful woodland escape for me and my pup!

Tonys cabin was beautiful! The view was breathtaking and when we first arrived I was amazed at the location. It was just enough space for the two of us. The fire-pit was nice to relax at with the string lights. We also loved the A-frame design of the house. WiFi worked well. The water pressure in the shower was great, just make note it’s a small shower stall! The only complaint we had our whole stay was just that it was a bit too warm throughout the cabin, the AC unit was perfect for the bedroom but didn’t quite reach downstairs. Overall, we had a great time this weekend!!

This was a nice little getaway for our long weekend. It was easy to get to and not too far from the State Park and Berkeley Springs. It was both rustic and private. Amenities worked well. Our pup loved exploring all the outdoor space; however, the steps upstairs to the bedrooms were too steep and not too dog-friendly. The hot tub was wonderful, especially on cooler days. Of note to anyone with a noise/hearing sensitivity, you can hear a mild buzz from the power lines when sitting outside. Overall, it was an enjoyable accommodation for the weekend!

Our trip was a last minute plan and booking and I feel fortunate to have found this place! We wanted a cabin with a hot tub and it was a bonus that we could bring our dog and have a spectacular view! The location is very close to Cacapon State Park which offers hiking and an overlook from the mountain top ridge. It was also very convenient having the Dollar General so close for last minute groceries and snacks. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Had a great stay at the cabin! It was a great spot for our little girls weekend. One minor note is that it had a pretty strong chemical cleaner smell when we first arrived so we had to air things out a bit, but everything was great otherwise!

Tony’s place was beautiful! The hot tub worked perfectly (which doesn’t always happen when you stay places) and the inside was so well decorated. I would absolutely stay here again! We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was exactly as described—clean, peaceful, and with beautiful views. The amenities were a huge plus, we especially loved the hot tub, fire pit, and grill. It was quiet and remote enough to be peaceful but still close driving distance to the town to check out local restaurants and breweries, which was nice. It made for such a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Our pup really enjoyed it as well, love that the place is dog friendly.
Tony was a fantastic host: responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Tony was thourough, responsible and attentive. Def would book another site with him. The cabin was just what we needed for a quick getaway. The jacuzzi was perfect for two people. The options for streaming were plentiful. Would love to go back when the fall leaves are turning. Only negative was the very vertical stairs up to the bedrooms- our dogs couldn’t do that on their own. Thank you for a nice experience !

I’m a commercial truck driver and desperately needed to get away from the highway for a few days. Tony’s cabin was exactly what I needed!!!!! My husband and I both enjoyed our time there, it was peaceful, quiet and private!!! We took our little min pin with us and even he felt right at home!!! Everthing was perfectly as described and Tony even includes incredibly helpful recommendations for local attractions!!! We had dinner at Proof on Washington and lunch at Mythical Pizza…. BOTH were amazing!!! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tony, his cabin and Berkeley Springs!!!! We stayed Thursday to Sunday and honestly, it was so perfect, we could live there!!! 10/10!!! 🥰🥰🥰

The Hawk’s Nest was very quaint, cute, and a good 3 day getaway in the berkley springs area! The house gave us a nice & quiet place to stay and enjoy the surrounding nature area. If you’re not staying in and making your own meals, there are plenty of options 15-ish minutes away from the property!
It was our first time staying in an A- frame structure, so maybe we didn’t know what to expect. However, the listing allows pets and stairs in the house are very steep and are slightly unsafe for dogs (and even humans) to navigate on their own.
During our stay, there were heavy winds for 2 of the 3 days. While we know no one can control Mother Nature, we just want to let everyone know that you should bring extra blankets/hoodies as there is a pretty significant draft in the house. It’s easy to feel the wind out of all 3 doors in the house.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay! It’s great for a couple to explore nature.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was exactly as listed and described: extremely cozy, well secluded, and very private, which we really appreciated. We only used the main bed, but it was very comfortable and the space was impressively clean. The minimalist design worked beautifully, and everything was thoughtfully set up to make efficient use of the space. Overall, a really lovely and well-done cabin.

This was the perfect weekend trip. Great location as far as close enough to town but far enough away. The cabin could use a few updates but everything was functioning. This definitely wouldn’t have worked if we took the kids due to the stairs being very steep inside but it was a perfect kid free trip.

This place was very nice for a quick weekend in Berkeley Springs, WV! We came for the historic town, hiking, and nature. The A-frame cabin was about 10-20 mins away from most things, so perfect for privacy in the woods while also being close to groceries, town, cafe, lots of hiking, and swimming holes. The cabin is in a very picturesque spot with lovely views of the ridge for sunrises/sunsets - especially from the hot tub and balconies! The one downside about the view is that it is next to power lines, so while you get the open views, you also have this static/humming from the lines (thankfully it only lasts a few mins at a time). It is awesome that this place welcomes dogs because we brought ours and she loved it. The cabin is clean and cozy and had the basics. If you are planning on cooking something very specific, you might want to bring some extra kitchen utensils and spices. Overall, it was a nice getaway in the woods and great for a weekend stay!

A great setting overlooking a beautiful mountain view, although there are high-voltage power lines adjacent to the property that are in the line of view and make loud buzzing noises that you notice when outside the house.
The hot-tub was clean and in great shape!
The bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and are slightly difficult to access simply due to the shape of the house and how the stairs are built, definitely check that out before renting as it could be a limiting factor.
Overall a great experience with Tony as our host!

Nice place, enjoyed our time. Great views and wildlife. Cabin needs some TLC. upstairs deck is unsafe on the right hand side with the railing unsupported - dangerous for children if you plan to bring them. Also mold on bedroom ceiling likely needs addressed. Be advised if you bring pets there are areas on the property that have broken glass & nails from old pallets.
We enjoyed our stay very much but thought it was the right thing to do to pass along the positives and negatives.

I absolutely loved my stay! The cabin is super cute and in a beautiful location. Great place for relaxing and close to lots of nice trails and hikes. Toby was a great host! Only flag is that the ladder to the upstairs is steep, so you likely won’t be able to get your dog up there any may struggle if you have mobility challenges.

The view is incredible but I will say the place itself needs maintenance. We stayed at Tony’s other location beforehand that was lower in price and it was very nice but this location was outdated and needs a renovation, you’re essentially paying for the view but with all the renovation that’s needed in the house the price was overpriced.

Loved this spot, it needs a few repairs, but I was expecting them from a couple of reviews I read.
When we first arrived, the house was freezing. The door upstairs was left open, I don't know if it was on purpose, or if the wind swung it open, but after that, it took the house a few hours to warm back up again. For the price, this was exactly what I was expecting, and there was a lot of privacy.
We really wanted to use the hot tub but it seemed like the water level was too low, so unfortunately, I couldn't get it up and running. the door frame could use a nail because it was falling off. The TV is just a little finicky, but we managed to figure it out. We ordered from mythical pizza and picked up from the local Chinese spot. watch out for the stairs if you are over around 6 foot or elderly. overall, functional spot for my needs, and a really nice get away with for couples.

This property in particular was everything that I was looking for in a short retreat; It is quiet, peaceful, secluded and comfortable: pretty much everything I was looking for when my girlfriend told me she wanted to get away from our normal city lives for a few days. Very, very rustic. For us - the value to cost ratio was way off. The wood burning stove was disassembled during our winter stay - which was a huge and cold disappointment.
Even if there was a functional wood burning stove - now having been there, don’t think I could justify spending over $150 a night to stay again. The construction was just too poor and the stairs to the loft too steep.

Tony’s A-frame house was the perfect little getaway in Berkeley Springs. We really enjoyed the private location as well as the amenities included. The hot tub was the best especially on a chilly autumn evening after a nice dinner in town. It was 15-20 min from town & very accessible & easy to find. Furniture was company & cozy & the Bluetooth speaker was a plus as we listened to tunes while cooking breakfast in the homey little kitchen. We would visit again!

For the price we paid, I was a little shocked by the condition it was in and it’s quite small. If it was half the price I’d say it was perfect but they are charging luxury cabin prices for a fixer upper. For instance the place was in need of a paint job and there were holes in the ceiling filled with styrofoam. The bathroom was extremely basic. I thought we were getting a luxury cabin and it’s definitely not that. That being said, it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Very private. The power lines were disclosed but definitely disrupt an otherwise perfect view. I picked this over a much cheaper place because I thought it would be a lot nicer and clearly should have gone for the other place. So for the right price I’d stay again but don’t be fooled by the really well done photos.

This place was very beautiful, an amazing view from both decks, great local area very private no noise whatsoever! ( a little creepy at night though lol!) The state park is extremely beautiful and the local restaurants are great

Beautiful cabin, exactly as shown. Very clean. Stunning views. Great hot tub. Comfortable bed. Close to lots of fun things to do. Tony was very responsive. There were not enough towels and we were unable to get more, but otherwise everything was great.

This was the perfect last stop on our anniversary trip! After seeing a lot of sights, we wanted a place to spend the last couple days in privacy and quiet with a nice view, and this had all of that. Ample space for the two of us, clean, and easy to live in.

My wife and I were looking for a quick private getaway to the mountains and this cabin and location were a perfect fit. Compared to other lodgings, it was very easy to get and out of the cabin's location, which is perched right along top of the ridgeline. It doesn't take too long to get to Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park is very close by. The cabin has a wonderful view of the mountain to the west.
Tony was very attentive and provided excellent instructions for using the hot tub, the features of the cabin and provided a summary of local attractions. Excellent host! We would be happy to stay again. Thanks!

Tony’s place was really nice. His communication was solid. The area was visually beautiful, I loved the jakoozi, and I thought the A frame shape home was adorable. A couple things to consider
1) Tony warns people that the power lines are visible (I was prepared for that and wasn’t bothered), however, my friend and I were sensitive to the sound of electricity crackling in the out door atmosphere and we were also sensitive to the feel of the electricity in the atmosphere.
2) the way the stairs are they run up along the side of the slanted A frame, so just have to be mindful of climbing up to the 2nd floor bedrooms.
Overall a nice place if you don’t mind feeling the electricity

We loved that this cabin was *actually* private. There were no neighbors that could be seen, or heard, from the property. The clear-cut field behind the cabin allowed for great views of the mountains and the night sky. The cabin itself was as pictured and described. The kitchen and bath were basic and functional. The bed was very comfortable. My only caveat: If you have mobility issues, the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor are steep and awkward.
Over all, it was the rustic getaway that we were looking for, and we look forward to returning.

The cabin was very nice and cozy, albeit a bit tight. No washer and dryer, but not a big deal for a short trip. The place was peaceful but not as secluded from the main road as I had anticipated, but there are no visible neighbors.

We were disappointed with the following, (1) The view was very disappointing!! We couldn't see anything cause of the tree branches in the way (2) the deck off the bedroom is not attached to the house and actually will fall eventually, so beware! (3) tree branches are laying on the wires in front of house (4) there is no walkway to get to the hot tub, which is out in the open, no privacy! and there was glass on the ground (5) the stairs to go up to the bedrooms is down right awful!!! They are so steep (6) We were expecting a better kept cabin then want we had. The cabin needs ALOT of work. I wish I could get my money back, it was not worth what we paid!!

This is a cool A-frame AirBnB near Cacapon Resort State Park. My partner and I came here for a long weekend of mountain biking at the park. The AirBnB is located very close to the park (less than 10 minutes) and close to Berkeley Springs (less than 20 minutes to downtown). We were happy with the location. However, the place is very small - much smaller than I was expecting and I cannot imagine 6 people staying here. 4 would be pushing it. 2 was comfortable and fine. The house is unique and a good use of space, albeit older and in need of updates. The stairs to the upper level are kind of steep and it's annoying to carry anything upstairs (where the bedrooms are) or to walk down the stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. It would be hard to get upstairs if you are elderly or have any disabilities. It was fine for us, but might not work for others.

This cabin in wonderful, and I'm glad we chose to stay here during our stop in Berkeley Springs. The location is tranquil and has a gorgeous view to sit and enjoy with a cup of tea. Tony was friendly and helpful with our booking, and made us feel very welcome. The cabin is in a quiet location, but an easy trip into town allows you to enjoy the local restaurants, shops, and fun feel of this artsy town. At the end of the day, being able to unwind in the hot tub and soak in some nature makes this the perfect peaceful getaway. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The cabin was the perfect little getaway that my sister and I had been looking for. The hot tub was easy to use and had beautiful views of the mountains. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit outside since there were severe winds and a wild fire advisory, but the wood stove inside still let us enjoy a fire to make s’mores on. The kitchen was big enough, it had some leftover seasonings (salt&pepper) and tea/coffee from previous guests, but there was no foil or baking trays that we could find to use in the oven. The cabin has a check in of 4pm and a checkout of 10am, but you can pay $35 to check in two hours earlier or check out two hours later, the early check in was definitely worth it for us. Tony was super available for help and had recommendations for local hiking spots. The two twin beds were not very comfortable or secure, the slats in the bed frame would move about, but the main bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was fast for movie streaming.

Perfect getaway 🙂 There was a nice view, games, good internet, comfortable bed, all the kitchen supplies we needed, and was perfectly quiet and secluded. Everything was in good condition and working properly. The host is very responsive and helpful! We really enjoyed the hot tub and having a fire outside. The only thing to note is if there are little kids or dogs coming to be cautious of the stairs, but we didn’t have any concerns or issues during our stay. Definitely would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Hawk's Nest! The cabin is very cute and cozy, and had everything we needed, including kitchen and bathroom supplies. We ended up needing to stay in a whole day of our trip due to weather (rainy, windy) and were perfectly comfortable. We enjoyed the size for the two of us, while it may seem smaller it was plenty of space for us! The views were lovely and the hot tub a nice added bonus. An easy drive into the town of Berkeley Springs and any conveniences nearby, but you may just opt to stay cozy at the cabin! My only note on the cabin itself is the steepness/ design of the stairs is better thought of as a latter (especially when going down). Tony's communication/ assistance was perfect, we were provided with all the information we needed and were checked in on via text periodically throughout our stay. An overall wonderful and relaxing vacation at Hawk's Nest!

Me and my partner had a wonderful Valentine’s Day/Birthday trip here (it’s definitely an amazing couples get away spot)! I absolutely love a-frame houses plus the interior made it feel so homey. The spot was super secluded with a gorgeous mountain view that you can see from the hot tub (my favorite). We would definitely come back and recommend for a relaxing get away!

The trip started off rough with a snow storm that hit-- therefore the cleaners were unable to make it to the house to clean from the previous guest.
We went and got our own sheets and towels and it all worked out-- other than that the stay was absolutely relaxing and amazing. The house was adorable. Hot tub was guest ready and even with the storm--the views were lovely! Thankfully Tony was very helpful and communicative through it all! What a relaxing weekend 🙂

Tony’s place was quiet and quaint and such a good location for a girls’ cabin weekend. We got 7-8” of snow and the view was beautiful and the hot tub was a great amenity to be snowed in with. Close to town with great local shops and food.

A quaint and cozy cabin perfect for a serene getaway! The cabin is clean and modern while keeping the rustic feel in tact, the views are stunning, and the hot tub is an added bonus— perfect for chilly evenings. We enjoyed walking through the wooded property with our dog, grilling dinners, and the silence of nature as an escape from city life. Tony was an excellent host, very communicative, and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, even offering suggestions of things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this place and hope to visit again in the near future!

Tony’s place was great! A true little private cabin in the woods. The loft was super fun to sleep in. Tony was unbelievably responsive. We checked in the night of Christmas Eve and upon arrival the power went out to the main level. Tony responded immediately on the holiday and had someone to the house within 30 minutes.
We spent a day at the house and a day adventuring.
It didn’t matter that we didn’t bring firewood bc there is so much brush and sticks in the woods of the home that our fire burned all day. The outdoor games (large Jenga and Connect 4) were fun, the hot tub was great!
The nearby areas has lots to do. A huge Antique and thrift mall in Hancock just 20 minutes away. Berkley Springs had adorable shops and restaurants. Cacapon State Park had a great hike to the fire tower and a gorgeous water fall entrance. Dollar General is just at the entrance about 1.5 miles from the house in case you forget anything. If your an outdoorsy person, this cabin is great!!!

This is a perfectly adequate place to stay in the Berkeley springs area. Really beautiful views from the porches. No frills, so price point is a bit high, but it’s well insulated and the hot tub works. Stairs to the bedrooms are very steep with very low clearance overhead, could be tough accessibility-wise for some.

Relaxing location with great views and quiet. We really enjoyed sitting around the firepit and the hot tub after a day of hiking and exploring the area. Tony provided easy instructions and was always available for any questions or recommendations.

We loved the place itself - the location and the view were awesome. The cabin was well stocked and nicely decorated. However, we booked the cabin because it had a hot tub and quickly discovered that the electric in the cabin was not equipped to handle the hot tub and caused the power to shut off, rendering it unusable. The power went out multiple times - Tony sent a handyman to address the issue who admitted that the power outages had been a problem since the hot tub was installed.
The power came back on after we switched the breakers 10-15 minutes after it shut off but we were basically playing a game with which breakers we could leave off to make sure the stove and refrigerator would stay on and spent a lot of time in the dark. Tony did reimburse us some of our payment but I would not recommend booking this facility unless Tony confirms that the electrical issues have been fixed. Especially in the winter where you could be stuck in a cabin with no heat.

The cabin had a beautiful view and a campfire pit. The cabin was perfectly nestled in the woods with enough space from any neighbors. It's a great place to relax away from the city. Me and my friend had a great girls' night with a bonfire and a view of the stars. Also, the host was very friendly and always attentive to our needs. We had a problem with the power but our host was quick and active in solving the problem. It was a great stay and we hope to come back again to West Virginia and to the cabin.

Cute little cabin, lots of privacy and beautiful views! It’s pretty basic but was just what we needed. The chlorine was a bit high so we only used the hot tub once, but it was still nice. A few things in need of repair but didn’t hurt our stay. Saw people complaining about bugs, but you’re in a cabin in the woods in WV so not sure what they expected? Tony was very friendly and quick to respond. If you’re looking for a quick getaway near Berkeley Springs and Cacapon park this is great!

Steps are difficult to climb to go upstairs, especially with a dog so be ready! Also, you’ll have to be very careful when upstairs otherwise you could get seriously injured. You cannot leave small children or pets unattended because they could fall down the steps.

the place was lovely. a few stains on the couch but that's reasonable. I figured she also host parents with kid. the porch was my favorite. something about eating outside while it's raining I love that. the hot tub was amazing. great temperature, lights were beautiful, great set up. be sure to bring your own wood, I brought my own an able 7 logs is good for a few hours. overall is was what me an my boyfriend needed an it was a delightful stay

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his birthday and it was the cutest cabin in the woods romantic vibe that I was looking for. The house was stocked with every outdoor game you could imagine and the hot tub with the lights and view was AMAZING!!!!! I would defiantly come back and bring my girls for a weekend and utilize the fire pit. 5/5 stars from us! Tony was also SUPER nice and responsive - he even let us check in 2 hours early for our convenience. He was also great in recommending local places for us to see. Great experience. Defiantly stay here if you can!!!!

Tony was very kind and helpful to tackle issues we ran into. However, our issues were with bugs and the pest control guy who showed up said this was a constant issue here. We booked for a 3 night stay and canceled after the first night.
