We loved our stay at Tony’s Cabin! It was secluded and not a bad drive into neighboring towns. Tony was very responsive. When we arrived, the porch door was wide open, and we walked into the living room a mess-the sofa bed was pulled apart and very broken, cushions on the floor, table moved. Also not very clean. Based on prior reviews, I’m confident the cleaning crew had an off day, and I can’t hold that against Tony! It took about a half hour to finagle the sofa bed back together enough to sit on. We were disappointed that the screened in porch was filled with things; the kayaks are in there as well as seemingly random items and all of the outdoor games previous renters raved about were scattered all over. I couldn’t tell what was what for games. Definitely not a usable space. Again, I’m confident the cleaning crew was not doing their part. The views, the fire pit (once the burn ban lifted), and the hot tub were amazing! Overall a wonderful stay, minus checking in!

This stay was so nice. I needed a break from the world and this was perfect!

Positive: It was very secluded and we enjoyed the hot tube. The inside was good and clean and comfortable Negative: The sofa bed was broken so we could not watch TV in bed. There were not TV in the bed rooms. The road up to the cabin was terrible it needs some grading There are not a lot of places to eat in Berkely Springs

Tony was responsive and proactive with communication. The location is private and beautiful. It’s a great place to disconnect and recharge.

The cabin was extremely quiet and comfortable. We had everything we needed to disconnect and unwind for a long weekend. Host was very communicative and helpful! We attended the Berkeley Springs 49th Annual Apple Butter festival, a nice surprise event while we were there.

Was able to make it in a Kia soul, was a bit nervous after reading prior reviews of needing 4×4 of course after I had already booked it.

Tony was a fantastic host – responsive, friendly, and informative! The house was clean and private. Beautiful area to get away from the business of life. We loved Tony’s recommendations found in the house manual. Also cool idea to have a guest book! Would definitely recommend Tony and his Airbnbs!

Had a wonderful stay at the cabin! Nicely secluded, make sure your car is good to drive up hilly dirt roads. There’s a great selection of board games, kayaks (bring a rack on your car), a dvd/blu-ray player, some movies… basically everything you need for a fun wifi-less weekend away. Tony gives great recs for nearby hikes, breweries, etc. Definitely recommend.

Positive: Liked the remote ness of the cabin hot tub and the cabin itself. Negative: Wish the hot tub had closer or easier access. Cabin needs a little TLC on certain things nothing major screen doors. Nails on porch small things price was a little steep but doable

We absolutely loved staying at this Cabin. The location was fantastic, and there was everything you needed and wanted for a weekend of seclusion in the woods. The price was very reasonable for the amount of space you get and things to do on the property. Having a landline phone definitely made me feel safer as we got no cell phone reception. We were very comfortable the entire stay and our dog loved it too. We would come back for another weekend anytime.

A great get away, cabin in the woods with still being able to drive into a small town with plenty to do. It’s a rustic stay but it had everything we needed.

Nice cabin in a beautiful area. About 2 miles to a public access stream and access to the renters kayaks. That was definitely a favorite of the trip! That and the hot tub❤️

Positive: A very quiet and peaceful location in the mountains outside of Berkeley Springs, WV. The cabin was clean and came supplied with kitchen equipment and clean sheets and towels. I loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire pit at night. Kayaks and life jackets were also provided for use on the nearby river. The host was very welcoming and responsive to messages leading up to my stay at the cabin. Negative: Minimal to no cell service in the area, so I would have liked to have Wi-Fi available in the cabin. The local roads to the cabin were in fair/poor condition. Note: both of these issues were disclosed to me by the host prior to my stay.

Great place to spend time with your family. There was no Internet, but it was a nice bonus. Peaceful and enjoyable time with the children. We enjoyed watching movies with the kids in the evening, plenty of activities during the day, and, of course, HOT TUB. The. best quality time with our family. Hope to get back there again!

Beautiful cabin with very comfortable amenities and a fabulous hot tub! We brought wood for the wood stove which we would definitely recommend-it just made our nights more cozy! Four wheel drive was absolutely needed to get up the mountain but the trek was FUN! Tony was so helpful and so communicative! We will love to visit again in the future!!!!

Mistakenly booking something with no wifi & cell coverage ended up being a blessing in disguise. House was clean. Location was great. Hot tub was amazing. But, the experience would have been much better had they provided some basic info. Iv’e never stayed in a remote AIRBNB in which the host didn’t provide some basic info. A binder w/ some good local hikes or places to visit would have saved me a lot of time. No internet connection makes researching the area impossible. The place is managed by another company. I had to fill out a questionnaire and was expected to download a manual. The problem was I couldn’t open the manual w/out the internet. I book through AIRBNB cause the app makes things easier. Adding another party confuses things. TBH if I knew I would be dealing w/ a mngmt company, I would have passed.

Tony’s place was very remote and peaceful. My husband an I enjoyed our disconnected weekend in the woods. The cabin is the last on the dirt road and feels very secluded. I enjoyed being able to use the wood stove and hot tub. I was very happy the hot tub was clean! Over all the house is as pictured.

Overall good stay if you really want to disconnect and relax.

A solid cabin that comfortably fits 4 adults, with a well stocked kitchen, in a very peaceful and private location. We enjoyed the indoor wood burning stove as it was a bit chilly to be outside around the fire pit (having both options was great). The hot tub was relaxing and seemed like new. Decor was fitting for a cabin and beds were comfy! The whole neighborhood seems to not have any cell signal, though there is a device in the house that helps amplify signal to at least get urgent messages in/out. The hot tub is not very close to the door so would recommend taking that into account in packing. It’s also worth flagging to others that this place has surprisingly late check in and early check out as it’s standard times, so you may end up paying more than expected if you want to upgrade to check out times you typically see at other Airbnbs.

Tony was a tremendous host and we had such a fun weekend at the cabin and exploring the area. Tony helped recommend things to do and places to go and communicated proactively with us and everything was smooth. Will def be visiting this place again!!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin, very secluded and quiet. Roomy enough for 7 people and two large dogs without feeling cramped. Being dog friendly was our top requirement when searching for a cabin, this cabin fit our needs well.

Tony’s place is exceptional if you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway. My family and I were driving from NY to Boone, NC, and it was a great midway point!

The house was ready to check-in before the time mentioned. getting in the house was easy and house was very clean and welcoming. we enjoyed the hot tub. the surrounding of the house was very peaceful with a nice place for bonfire. we were there for a short time so didn’t go anywhere else. just enjoyed the house and location. will definitely recommend and in future may also plan a stay for long. Gorgeous property and very responsive host. I had to cancel last minute but Tony was quick to find solutions. While I was there, I found that the property itself is a hidden gem; it would be great for large groups if you book his other cabins within walking distance.

Absolutely loved the time we spent here. It was short and last minute put together. But we will 100% be back. The cell service SUCKS and it’s pretty awesome. I know shocker!?!? But I loved spending time with my family without worrying about that tiny little device. We didn’t even leave the cabin, they games they had were so much fun! All appliances to cook. Beds were like clouds, everything felt like home. Only thing I wish we had more of was towels lol. 6 of us and 4 towels was not fun. Thank you to opening and sharing your beautiful cabin

If you’re looking to unplug, this is the place. No internet or cellphones. But, it’d be good to make any reservations beforehand (e.g. rafting or kayaking) and have a paper map or download offline maps. I would be mindful of the season you go depending on your tires/vehicle. This is a place that’s located in the mountains and surrounded by woods. Which means, you also gotta be cool with bugs when you’re outside. It was a great last minute get-away!

Cozy cabin deep in the woods on a mountainside, this place is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city! Decent collection of movies on Blu-ray, great for dogs too. Hot tub was A+

Tony’s house was a great retreat to disconnect and have some quiet time together. They had a great selection of games and movies, not to mention an amazing sunset view from the porch. The hot tub was lovely, and the town of Berkeley Springs is definitely worth a visit.

Great cabin in the backwoods of WV complete with a hot tub. Place was a bit difficult to find especially at night and w/o cell service but wood fireplace was a nice touch and bed was comfy. Took about 20-25 min to get into town from the cabin which is not the most convenient but expected when you rent a place in the woods!

Came for a weekend away from the city, and was able to enjoy the peaceful and quiet environment in the comfortable cabin. The hot tub and nice big firepit were great amenities we used a lot during our quick stay. Also Tony’s communication and responsiveness were above and beyond!

This is a great little getaway spot. If you’re looking to disconnect (literally—no internet or service) this is a great option. If you’re trying to stay closer to Berkeley Springs specifically and not tied to outdoor/forest experience, I’d recommend checking Tony’s other postings instead. As a host: Tony is amazing and I would definitely book with him again! Some suggestions if you book this spot: -bring extra towels if you plan to use the hot tub -there were limited “kitchen essentials” for cooking. Bring your own spices, foil, plastic wrap, etc. as they are not supplied. Salt, pepper, oil were provided (and I left behind some garlic powder for the next person 🙂 -I would say all-wheel drive / 4-wheel drive is a nonnegotiable. I can’t see a front-wheel drive vehicle making it up the mountain, especially with any chance of rain. -the closest grocery store is a small store 20 minutes away, so I’d recommend buying any groceries beforehand, or do better planning ahead.

The cabin was great. We loved all the extras that were available and wished we had more time to use them all. This is a great cabin for summer time! The outdoor games he supplied are worth coming back again in the spring/summer months! I loved the no Wi-Fi and the hot tub! I’m sure we will rent again in the future for some outdoor fun and kayaking!

Loved this spot super remote and peaceful!! House was very clean and the host was extremely helpful and fast to respond! Loved the hot tub! The beds were super comfy! Overall incredible! One thing that I think should be made clear is that the house is at the end of the road on the left maps does not make that clear and we arrived at night and in snow was a bit tricky to find. An amazing, peaceful, relaxing home. Absolutely loved the wood burning stove, hot tub, and open space. There’s lots to do in the area but we spent the whole time at the house — it was so comfortable. We played cards, watched movies, and took our pups for long sniffy walks. Would love to return!

My 2 cousins,3dogs,and I stayed at Tony’s for 3days 2nights and we loved it. At first we were really scared that we would not be able to survive lol because there was no cell service, but it was actually really peaceful and comfortable, we were still able to keep in touch with Tony and our immediate family and friends as in some areas of the cabin there is very little service, the hot spot was also very helpful. Tony was a great host, he was very accommodating and replies to my messages in less than 10 minutes. The cabin was clean and had most of the stuff we needed, we just needed a pan/skillet which we could not find there. The hot tub was also very relaxing, it was just in an inconvenient location as we had to run to the entrance after being in it, and it was really cold. Other than that everything was good. We cant really recommend any place to go anywhere as we didn’t want to go out lol. They had a good selection of movies but we also recommend downloading your own and bring hdmi.

Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and cozy, with lots of helpful items especially for cooking. No wifi but we wanted to disconnect for a few days so that worked for us. Landline phone available for emergencies which was nice. Hot tub was so relaxing and clean, fire pit outside was cozy and fun to use (we made s’mores). We slept on the bottom bunk and the bed was actually more comfy than expected. Fresh towels, smelled really clean. Comfy couch and nostalgic DVDs. The closest town is about 20 mins away, the drive isn’t bad but some hills are steep up the mountain. Majestic pizza is a must- really really good pizza and they have lots of deals. Overall great stay, cabin was cute, could have used a light on the screen porch, extra towels for the hot tub, a knob to hang towels by the hot tub, and a shower liner to prevent curtain from sticking to you while inside and/or molding.

We loved our stay at Tony’s cabin, it was the perfect winter getaway to unwind and unplug! We had everything we needed and the added amenities such as the hot tub, fire pit, outdoor and indoor games, and movies were a great touch (exceptional movie selection). The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies we needed and Tony was super responsive the whole trip! No there isn’t WiFi BUT we loved having the chance to unplug and my phone (at&t) had service in some spots and a land line for emergencies! Our only note is that the gravel road/driveway up is pretty steep- no problems driving up or down and we loved taking the hike down to and along the river but just something to be mindful of! We will definitely be back!!

Tony is the epitome of what you want as a quintessential host. We had so much fun we extended our trip an extra day that he made even that last minute request 20 minutes before check out happen seamlessly.

Cabin was perfect in the woods, spotty cell service which was great for me. I wanted to unplug. Plenty of space, screened porch with all kinds of games, kayaks and there is also an open porch, which we spent most of the time. Hot tub was nice, did have to walk around to it so might want your bathrobe. Kitchen had basic pots/pans, plates ect. As far as spices bring your own… also would bring foil or plastic wrap. No storage containers. All in all stay was great, nice and quiet…

This amazing cabin its the perfect place. Tony made sure to explain the manual, how to get there, restaurants nearby among other things. Although there’s no wifi, it is what makes the cabin more relaxing. If you need to get away from the city and the internet, this cabin is your best option. Furthermore there is a lot of stuff you can do once you are there; kayaking, taking a relaxing bath at Berkeley Springs, visiting the castle at Berkeley Springs, visiting the Great Cacapon State Park and more importantly taking advantage of the hot tub. Staying at Tony’s cabin was the best thing I did.

Such a lovely spot! We went in autumn during peak foliage and the woods were just magical. We really loved the hot tub and the porch overlooking the foliage. Tony provides a doc with everything you need to know about the spot, which was incredibly useful. Communication with Tony was incredibly responsive. Highly recommend this spot and Tony as a host!

Great communication, very cozy, well decorated, and pretty secluded. My wife and I had a wonderful time and plan to stay next time we plan a trip to that area again.

The cabin was clean and incredibly cozy. I only stayed one evening, but would definitely come back for a longer vacation. The cabin is secluded and it felt like a personal piece of paradise. The host was very accommodating and communicative. A couple things to note: 1) cell service was non-existent (not a bad thing, just something to prepare for) and 2) you will need to use a different version of maps to enter the cabin’s address as maps on iPhone did not work for me. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you have the chance.

We had a great stay in WV! If you’re looking for a place to unplug and unwind, this is it. If you’re not looking to go off the grid, buyer beware because there is no cell reception or Wi-Fi. But there were plenty of games provided that kept us entertained on a rainy day!

This is such a peaceful spot. Lots of wildlife. And if you’re like me and have to check emails for work at all hours- not having WiFi was a huge plus. It forced us to play board games and really enjoy one another! Public access to river is right down the street! Lovely!

The road that leads to the drive in which the cabin is on is NOT safe for vehicles. Drive EXTREMELY careful up and down the road as vehicle damage will occur. It took us 30 minutes to get to town to grab groceries. Even 30 minutes away from the cabin, we still did not have any form of cell service. Although what we were looking for was a getaway completely remote to reality, this was something we felt was too far away in case of an emergency. The cabin and surrounding area are beautiful, peaceful, and great for re-energizing your soul!
