The Home
The cabin includes:
- Two bedrooms, both with queen beds
- Deck with a propane grill and outdoor patio seating
- Fully-stocked kitchen with new appliances
- Fast, reliable WiFi that’s more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- Electric heat and AC (to keep you comfortable, no matter the weather)
- Indoor games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained, even on a rainy day
- Smart TV with easy access to sign into all your favorite streaming services
And outside the cabin, you’ll also enjoy:
- Private hot tub, perfect for relaxing when watching the sunset
- Outdoor fire pit with Adirondack chairs for the whole gang
- Outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: corn hole, soccer and kick balls, horseshoes, and many more!
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
NOTE: Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. AWD or 4X4 is recommended. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, there are many side roads that are gravel or hard-packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front-wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing the property from these roads if you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low-profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice, you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during the winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
Beyond the cabin itself, we’re a short drive away from three main destinations in West Virginia: Berkeley Springs (with great shops and restaurants), Harpers Ferry (for river rafting and Civil War history), and Winchester (the closest of the three, with tons of restaurants and breweries). And of course there are many good hiking trails nearby too!
