Very good location right along the trail along the creek. Exceptionally nice people in the town and the walking area along the creek is really well done. The facility location made it easy for us to walk to restaurants both of our nights. Very convenient!

The house was maintained, since it’s a old house it comes with its quarks, one of the window panes was covered up with card board and there were no storm windows or screens for the window and a lot of cobwebs

Trip was perfect. Room was very clean. They provided spare linen if needed and a washer and dryer if anyone in the inn needed it. The host was very easy to keep in contact with over the VRBO chat and over text. They even answered a late night question I had which was awesome. It is about a block or two from downtown so everything is walkable if you just want to stay in the downtown Luray area. The location is perfect since it’s about 2 minutes from the Caverns and close to everything else. The stay couldn’t have been better. Overall it was a great time!

This is a country-inn type building with lots of rooms, and guests should know they might be on the second floor and be able to carry luggage up steps. There is no host onsite. It is charming and has a lot of thoughtful extras. I appreciated the oatmeal and coffee which got me off to a good start and early hiking.

We’ve been staying two overnights. Tony has been very helpful and Sarah is warmhearted to introduce us where to go to appreciate the natural beauty, which making our trip convenient. The great location! Anyway, this inn is strongly recommended! Gina

Tony’s Place was very peaceful and an excellent value for the price. The biggest plus was having a private bathroom, which made the stay much more comfortable. The common area was also great—good coffee, snacks, and thoughtful amenities. Would definitely stay again!

Had a fantastic time, the rental was perfect, made us want to stay longer to enjoy it! Such nice hosts, so friendly and had all the details clearly laid out so there was no confusion or anything to be left up in the air.

A great place to stay while we were visiting Shenandoah National Park! Tony was very responsive, and the information he proactively provided with local recommendations and details about our stay was helpful to refer back to throughout our time there. We enjoyed walking around Luray and trying local restaurants. Would stay here again!

Great stay! Host was very responsive and helpful. The room was clean. There are cute coffee shops close by along with a walking trail. Something to know, the inn does allow children to stay, there were at least 2 children staying overnight during the time of my stay.

We had a fantastic weekend! The space was lovely and felt very home-y. Everything was very tidy and everyone we interacted with was very kind. Our experience was much better than anything we could have found at a standard hotel. This Airbnb will be the top of our list for the next time we come to Luray 🙂

This was a great find. We had a clean and comfortable room and the kitchen / common area was well-equipped. Tony provided great communication. We had no issues but felt he would have been quick to respond should there have a need for his help. Great access to the Appalachian Trail and the Luray Caverns.

It was exactly what I needed, a break from the military, peaceful and quiet, had lots and lots of things to do, the mountains drive, the Shenandoah park, the hiking trails, etc….. and so much more and it’s beautiful environment, it was a money well spent, love the serenity and once again thanks for hosting me at your place it was a beautiful and great experience and most of all the Inn is beautiful ❤️

If you like historic homes and the outdoors, this is the perfect get away. The location could not have been more convenient. The Hawksbill creek path is in the backyard and within EASY walking distance to a fun coffee shop and shopping and restaurants in downtown Luray. Tony had coffee, tea, apples, and water bottles along with other treats in the lobby/living room to welcome his guests. We also had a coffee maker in our room. Our room and the lobby/living room were very clean. Tony was very response and checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Overall, this place is a great value and we look forward to coming back soon.

The host and staff were amazing. Came to luray to propose as we love hiking together. And while i took my now finance out for dinner, the staff helped place rose petals and candles around the room with champagne and strawberries as i had requested. Did even better then i imagined. She was so surprised and happy and it’s all thanks to the staff. Really helped make it extra special

We enjoyed our stay in the King Suite. Tony was a wonderful communicator throughout the booking and our entire stay. Our room was as pictured, and we appreciated the water and coffee and snacks in the downstairs kitchen area. We ate some takeout at the tables there and enjoyed meeting another couple! The location is convenient to downtown Luray, the Shenandoah Valley and Luray Caverns, both of which were impressive. I was a little disappointed in the grounds; the pictures make it appear that it’s more out in the country. All in all, we had a nice stay. Thank you, Tony!

The inside was very clean, and the guest laundry was a welcomed sight. But the property grounds could use some maintenance. I know it is fall, but a leaf blower and a pressure washer would go a long way to make this place better. Had to wipe off porch rockers to sit in them, also lots of overgrowth in the gutters and landscape.

This is a neat old building with a great front porch. When the weather is nice there’s all sorts of outdoor options to enjoy an evening on a porch swing, by the fire pit, or in Adirondack chairs on the huge back yard. It is also easily walkable to the Main St area via the bike trail next to the creek that runs through town.

The Legacy Inn in Luray was great! Easy to find, easy entry (with a code), within walking distance of dining and outdoor music, and an easy drive to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay! Not really there long enough to enjoy the common space but it looked very cozy and peacful. Check in was easy and Tony sent all the information ahead of time. The room was very clean and cozy, and the bathroom seemed recently renovated. Unfortunately when I booked, breakfast had been included but that changed by the time the trip came around, but there is a coffee shop nearby.

The inn was charming and stocked with everything we needed for a short stay. room was clean, shower was nice, and I liked that we had a smart TV. The walls were kinda thin and the ceiling squeaked when the guests above us were moving around, but other than that we still felt comfortable and safe. We were also in a GREAT location! everywhere we went was pretty much in a 5 min driving distance. My husband and I enjoyed our stay!

This Beautiful Inn took me back to my childhood. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch during our short stay. Short walk along the street or relaxing greenway by the river to Main street. We loved West Main Market Beer and Wine Garden around the corner. Crazy good sandwiches and friendly staff! Our room was clean and cozy with lots of large windows. Wild flowers by the greenway were a nice view. Quick note for those who are sensitive to fragrance. The owner did make an effort to remove plug in fragrance from our room but there is a ton of fragrence in general being used in the building. For those who are sensitive it’s unavoidable.

Very nice place to stay while passing through. Aesthetically pleasing, easily accessible, nice amenities, and walking distance to stores. The bed was NOT as described- it was a queen size and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The mattress made you roll to the middle as it seemed very old. THE MATTRESS NEEDS CHANGED IMMEDIATELY. Did not get much rest that night. The bed issue was addressed to the property manager immediately who said they’d fix the problem.

Tony was so responsive to all of my questions and made sure I felt right at home. I absolutely loved the quaint Inn atmosphere with a common area and kitchen. It was so fun meeting new people over the included breakfast and hearing about their itinerary. The bedroom and bathroom in the suite were perfectly clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again!

Tony provided great directions once I booked. He also reached out offering a discounted rate for the day before if I wanted to extend. Unfortunately I couldn’t due to work and flight schedule. He also offered the same on the tail end. Although tempted, I had to work the next day.
Place was great with a common area kitchen & living room. Waters, juices, snacks, bars & fruit were replenished daily. Also, I texted Tony to let him know that I would need an item replenished in my room in the next day or so and he had someone take care of the request within an hour or so.
Ideally I would have liked to be a little closer to Shenandoah National Park, but this was close enough to the Thorton Gap entrance. During busy seasons, it may be longer to get to depending on traffic/time of the day. I decided to keep to trails in the Thorton Gap/Big Meadows area.
Overall great place & host.

We were there only for an overnight, but had enough time to visit localdowntown restaurants, shops and brewery. Easy walk to everything. Just park your car at the Inn and go. Short drive to hiking. Safe, everybody I walked by said “hi” before I could. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, water was hot. I don’t know how many other people were staying at the Inn while we were there, but the one person we met was friendly and quietly reading on the swing on the front porch. Nicely quiet and perfect for unwinding… not a good place for the “Louds”. We’ll stay again when we have more time to spend in Luray and I look forward to it.
