The Home
The chalet includes:
- 2 bedrooms - Bedroom 1 - King Bed, Bedroom 2, twin bunk beds
- 1 full bath
- Efficiency Style kitchen with Microwave, Keurig, Sink, Fridge, Freezer, 2 burner stovetop
- Living area with sofa and 4 person dining table
- Central AC for the perfect temps all year round
- WiFi strong enough for streaming movies and taking video calls
- Washer and Dryer
Outside, you’ll also find:
- Grill and gather on the deck
- Relax with a good book on the screened in porch
- Roast s’mores in the fire pit
- Plenty of yard space for outdoor activities
- 5 minute drive to the Woods Golf Course - Book your tee time!
- Outdoor sports center with two 25-meter pools, tennis courts, pickleball court, basketball/volleyball courts, softball field, and catch-and-release fishing
- Indoor sports facility with another pool, whirlpool, gym, tennis court and racket ball court
- Multiple hiking trails nearby. Our favorite is Devil’s Nose!
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close we are to Berkeley Springs, a 20 minute drive from the cabin and is great for so many reasons. The town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US, with dozens of shops and restaurants, and even a brewery and winery!
Here are some of our favorite points of interest near Hedgesville, WV:
1. The Woods Golf Course (distance from house - a short walk): Renowned for “fun and fair” golf, the 18-hole championship Mountain View course is perfect for low handicappers and the Stony Lick mid-length course for the rest of us!
2. The Tomahawk Race Track (distance from house - 10 mins): A well-known dirt track primarily used for motocross and off-road racing. The track hosts a variety of events, including local and regional motocross races, and has a reputation for its challenging layout and diverse terrain.
3. Spring Valley Farmers Market (distance from house - 15 minutes): Stock up on local produce and baked goods
4. Black Draft Farm & Distillery (distance from house - 20 minutes): Near the farmers market, and the perfect spot for a drink!
5. Berkeley Springs State Park (distance from house - 25 minutes): Known for its natural mineral springs and spa services, it's a lovely spot for relaxation.
6. Historic Berkeley Springs (distance from house - 25 minutes): A charming town with shops, art galleries, and historical sites.
7. Cacapon Resort State Park (distance from house - 35 minutes): Offers hiking, fishing, and golfing, with beautiful views and various trails.
8. Rumsey Monument (distance from house - 45 minutes): A historic monument located in nearby Shepherdstown, commemorating General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson.
