Tonys place is not your mom & pop STR stay. Tony is probably a nice guy, but he owns several (72 listings). This STR is being managed by a property management company and I could immediately tell because it lacked any charm. The location is wonderful, but the lack of attention to detail, personal touch or care, was a real disappointment. When I first received a message from “Tony” he mentioned I could opt for an early check in or late check out… how nice, I thought! No…. Tony then told me it would cost me an additional $49 EACH, after already paying $1600 for a 4 day stay. Ridiculous. When I arrived Friday, it was after dark and had trouble finding the exact location because the address listed on the Airbnb site is not actually the address of the place. If Tony actually cared about his guests experiences, he would have expressed this flat out instead of making me sign up to receive the house manual and go through hoops to try and find the actual location.

We had a great long weekend! Tiny home is close to lots of hiking options, perfect home base. Kitchenette, large fridge/freezer, bathroom, deck, hot tub, fire pit all stellar. We did bring a mattress pad based on a few earlier reviews and that worked fab. River and wooded view was amazing, perfect deck and fire pit area to sit with a warm drink and watch all the wildlife in the river and trees – deer, heron, geese, ducks, giant woodpeckers. Kayak was a nice idea but the current in the river was too strong to wade up the bank or paddle upstream (we kayak and we tried!!) but not knowing the area we didn’t want to venture down river without a pick up point – lots of local outfitters nearby to try river activity if you choose that option though. Host checked in on our stay and offered local recs, proactively reached out. Definitely recommend!

The cabin is right in front of the river and the view was spectacular. This particular cabin has a lot of privacy because of its location on the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and grilled one night for dinner. The bedsheets were soft and the sofa bed was comfortable. The river current was too strong and it rained all weekend so we did not have a chance to check out the kayaks or make a fire. However this area offers a lot of activities for a rainy day, caverns, breweries and wineries so we had plenty to do even if we did not enjoy all the amenities in the house. If you are planning to cook, bring everything you may need (oil, salt, pepper, etc.) The deck is spacious and comfortable. I could see us coming back when the weather is nicer. The host was super friendly, responsive and very helpful.

Host was incredibly responsive and pro-active. As an STR myself I appreciate the communication and accuracy of the listing and place. WONDERFUL location and privacy, I would return for sure!! Right on the water so pour a cup of coffee and enjoy nature. Top notch constructions and amenities and exactly as it was described. I have only one complaint. The comforter provided was pretty stained along with the mattress to the pull out bed. A mattress protector is HIGHLY recommended along with a duvet cover so it doesn’t look “gross” for lack of better words. Reading some of the previous reviews linens seem to be a consistent. If they fixed that this place would be a six out of five. One note on the bed. It’s a pull out so DON’T expect king size comfort. I think the bed is slightly broken also. Every time I moved, the whole bed moved. AND, when I tried to fold it back up the thing tried to eat me, LOL. It was comical but I’m strong so I would imagine someone smaller might struggle.

Beautiful place. Extremely quiet. Pullout bed is uncomfortable but nothing that a couple of sleeping bags or more covers couldn’t fix. The river was beautiful and the shower was so hot and refreshing. Will definitely be back

Perfect getaway spot. The house was cute and just as described. The nights were cool so we were able to enjoy all the amenities the house had to offer. Would recommend to anyone.

It was a beautiful stay away from normal life to be one w nature. A little smaller than expected but still very spacious once the bed was out of the way. The outside patio area was so great for all of our meals as the weather was perfect. The hot tub was a nice amenity to have!

As a frequent visitor to the Dairy Barn, we were again pleased with the space. Very quiet and peaceful, great to enjoy dinner on the screened porch with firepit while seeing chickens in the backyard. Tony and Emily are great hosts!

Loved our stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. Bed isn’t too comfortable BUT just bring some blankets and you’ll be fine. Loved being by the water and the jacuzzi in the day/night is fun!

We loved our weekend getaway here! The modern little cabin had everything we needed! We really enjoyed our nights by the fire pit, and waking up right next to the river. Tony was such a gracious host. We will be back!

We had a great weekend on the river. Location was beautiful and the tiny house was super cute. The couch bed was hard to fold back in once you pulled it down and the shades were broken, but we managed to make both of them work. Hot tub and fire pit were a huge plus. We would definitely stay here again.

I love the location and how private and quiet the place was. The place looks exactly like picture and host is responsive. I would recommend it to someone but won’t come again. Three things I did not like. 1st- checkout time was 10 am and if late you get charged $80. 2nd -the bed is so so thin so if your like me that gets back pain from thin beds then bring extra blankets or topping to help. 3rd-the sofa bed was so difficult to fold back once opened. It made me and my husband to keep it open our entire stay because we struggled to fold it back.

Our stay was fairly nice, beautiful hiking trails nearby and the location on the river was scenic. Some sub-par things we noticed were blood stains on some of the linen and some dead bugs and dust on broken window blinds. The place was definitely used, but the cleaning staff was very nice and responsive in getting us new sheets. The sofa bed was a little bit uncomfortable (but I guess it was the tiny house experience). Hot tub and fire pit were well maintained, we loved the private feeling of this home in its own corner. Super easy to check in, Tony answered any questions I had super quickly. Such a great little place. There were other cabins in the vicinity, but it really felt like it was just us there. Hot tub was awesome too! Would recommend.

This place was absolutely perfect for a cute weekend getaway. The location was absolutely perfect. It felt secluded and right by the river. You could see so many stars at night. My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding. The location was awesome, super close to Shenandoah and Luray cavern. There’s is two others tiny houses next to you but it still extremely private. We went during fall/winter so we had a really great time enjoying the hot tub and the fire pit. The only “negative” thing was the couch. To open it was super easy but to close back it was impossible! We tried multiple times and we couldn’t do it. Once the couch is open there’s basically no space inside the house. We ended messaging Tony on our last day and he told us that the cleaning crew would deal with that. Besides that, everything else was good. Tony, was extremely helpful and quick to answer us!

Tony was very active answering questions and making sure instructions were clear on how to get checked in and checked out. The site was amazing and well worth the trip and we can’t wait to return during different times of the year to enjoy a little slice of solitude.

We had a nice two night stay at this Airbnb. The place was absolutely adorable, and the river view added a wonderful touch to the overall experience. The hot tub was a real highlight, providing the perfect relaxation spot. The only downside was that the heating/AC unit wouldn’t work and it was tricky to get the sofa bed back in, but the host was incredibly responsive and helped to try find a solution. Overall, it was a great getaway, and I appreciated the host’s attentiveness.

Place was beautiful and very quiet and serene. Was able to spot two bald eagles from the river’s edge house and was an incredible experience. Person there was a bit confrontational and the trash drop is a bit far away but highly recommend the spot for some quiet time away from the city.

We loved this little getaway in the woods. The tiny home is really tiny but it added to the charm of the whole experience. It sat on a beautiful piece of land right in the rivers edge. It was a perfect place to relax and disconnect. Tony was very responsive and the house manual answered any and all questions you may have.

Enjoyed a very lovely couple of days in this little river side get away. It was exactly what we needed to reset and relax. Lovely setting, relaxing environment, so peaceful. Everything we needed was provided. It was a great experience all around.

We spend a few days here, and we loved it! The place was clean, and everything was as advertised. We enjoyed using the hottub, grilling our meals and sitting by the fire at night. We liked hanging out on the deck, we liked having privacy and the quiet during our stay. Inside the tiny home, we had everything we needed, a comfortable couch/bed, nice pressure in the shower and hot water any time we needed it. It was great! We’re already planning on coming back!

The AirBnb was everything we were looking- It had all the amenities we wanted for our little get away! Tony was very responsive and friendly and would reply within an hour of messaging. The cabin was very quiet and private- even though there were others near by! We appreciated that a lot of essentials were provided, such as towels, a lot of kitchenware/dinnerware and WiFi! The only issue we had was that at times, the water pressure was very weak. We found waiting a few minutes would be helpful, as the pressure would come back. Not a huge deal, considering we weren’t in a rush. Our favorite amenity was the fire pit! Perfect cozy spot with a beautiful view! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Nice stay for two. Private and peaceful. Tony was a great host. The floor near the entrance seems to be warped, and the toilet seat did not feel secure, but I notified Tony. I found leaves in the bedding that I had to pickout before use. overall, it was a nice stay. we loved the hot tub, the table games, and the interior/ exterior design. Thank you!

Beautiful riverfront tiny home. Serene and peaceful. Always have had issues driving electric vehicles to more remote locations- this tiny home has a built in ev charger. Spotty cellphone service, but there is wifi.

I traveled solo and stayed one night, and I regret not staying for longer!! Absolutely amazing place and extremely beautiful. I will definitely be going there again. All the other cabins were booked but it was still extremely quiet and everyone is out of each others way. I was hesitant to go alone, but there was not a moment where I felt unsafe or uncomfortable being alone in the cabin or exploring the river. Absolutely amazing views and spacious area! Loved it!!

The location of this vacation home is perfect- literally a few feet from the river, Outdoor amenities( hot tub , barbecue , fire pit) were great. However they can only improve the cleaning of the place .The host was friendly and attempted to accommodate Overall great getaway spot .

This was the perfect getaway for my wife & I for a vacation! Very private, peaceful & felt like a home away from home. Tony was very responsive & made sure all of our needs were met! The listing states there are neighbors close by but it was never a problem for us, it felt like a little quiet community! The deck was our favorite part & where we spent the majority of our time. The only gripe I have is the walking distance to the river. Not to far at all I was just hoping for a path straight through the woods instead of up & around! Overall a very good spot 10/10 recommend & will be back!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at rivers edge. It was the perfect mountain getaway. The tiny house had everything we needed. We coles most meals inside and on fire pit. The hot tub was clean and we spent a lot of time relaxing in it. The cabin is right next to a popular drop off on Shenandoah. We should have taken that as a hint, drop off. We brought an inflatable kayak and attempted to paddle around the access and quickly realized that was not possible. My husband did a 3 hour, 7 mile paddle and I picked him up across from downriver canoe company. He had a great time and I had some alone time too! . We had a great night out in Luray. We went to dinner at watch and warrant (delicious food) and checked out the local, small, quaint theater and we had a wonderful time. Tony, the host was extremely helpful and texted daily to see if we needed anything. We hope to come back one day!

The location itself was amazing! We had a day of sunshine and a day of heavy rainfall which let us see the beautiful river and area in both conditions. We loved the sunny Appalachian vibes the cabin gave the first day as well as the rainforest vibes the second; it was fun waking up, grilling while listening to nature, and going into the river all before going hiking in Shenandoah. I might actually come back to do this again here!

Unfortunately it rained during our stay so we didn’t get to explore the area too much but it still felt like a magical getaway in the woods. We would highly recommend staying here!

Tony and his place were FANTASTIC!! The space was so peaceful, and a really relaxing way to explore Virginia. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, it was truly stunning and the best time.

The tiny home is as described and has nice amenities and view. The hot tub and deck looking at the Shenandoah river is very relaxing. There is a lot of things to do on-site with games. We didn’t use the available river stuff. The home is positioned in a great spot on the river, but there is 2 other small homes that can see you on the deck or in the hot tub. Which is not a big deal but does limit privacy. We had an issue with the cleanliness of the home. The windows, window frames and shades were covered in dust and dead bugs. The dishes were sitting top down in a layer of dust. The other issue was the dirty hot tub. There was no net or supplies to filter it ourselves. Then the hot tub cleaners showed up at 8:30 am prior to checkout and loudly interrupted our peaceful morning. They could’ve had it cleaned prior to our visit or after departure. Overall, we enjoyed our short visit and would return for another stay.

Tony’s tiny cabin was perfect from my getaway from reality for a few days. Looked exactly like the pictures, right on the river. I would suggest bringing Off spray, cintronella candles for the pesky bugs but HEY.. you’re in a wooded area so that’s to be expected. Overall I have a great stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials needed. A great peaceful getaway!

No cell phone service within 20 mi and no WiFi. So if you have a question for the host, no way to contact him while at the property. WiFi should be provided asap. The restaurant list isn’t updated on their guide, there’s some much better places open in town such as Watch & Warrant in the center of Laray. Otherwise property is nicely designed and furnished and hot tub and fire pit is great. Just make sure you bring firewood and starter.

This is a great tiny home, especially for a couple. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Luray or Shenandoah National Park. It was nice to have a lot of outdoor living space and amenities too!

Really beautiful spot, directly on the river. The tiny house is very modern and cozy, and the hot tub was amazing. There are two other units on the property, but they are well laid out so it doesn’t feel crowded or any less private. The location is very close to Shenandoah National Park, and it’s a beautiful area to drive in!

Absolutely perfect for a solo or couple trip. Looks just like the pictures except better in persons the way it’s built is private and has a personal tub and fire pit! Close to the caverns and right smack on the river. Anytime I come through this area I won’t hear it are to call Tony. He is proactive to make sure your all set and has excellent suggestions. Plan on coming back in the summer. 5 stars!!

A wonderful, beautiful, peaceful spot. The view was wonderful, a long evening soak in the hot tub was amazing, and the local recommendations were very useful. From the latter, we hiked Kennedy Peak and picked up supplies at a recommended grocery. We visited at a time that was too cold to relax on the porch, but the setup there looked very inviting and we could admire that and the river-mountain-forest views from the windows of the toasty cabin; the heat inside was good enough for a windy mid-30s day outside. The host is very responsive personally, and there are also several automated messages that come out from that number before and after the stay. It was the first stay we have done in which we had to pack out our own trash, which seemed odd given the cleaning fee and timing; not a problem, but something to note. As other reviewers observe, the late check in and early check out recommends a more-than-one-overnight stay, yet we still thoroughly enjoyed the time we had on our short trip

This home is truly a little slice of heaven. Although it is located with two other similar cabins they are positioned such that each feels very private. Each with their own hot tub and fire pit, right along the edge of the river. The home is well adorned and very comfortable. The home is very small (sort of the idea), but with two walls almost entirely of windows and three different outdoor seating areas with chairs, there’s hardly any reason to be indoors at all. We are already planning our next trip back, and make sure you book more than just one night or you’ll regret it later!

The short time that we stayed here was so amazing it felt unreal. Everything about this place was perfect. The location, the price, the coziness of the place. I will definitely come back to this place at some point.

The container cabin was great. Kitchen was well stocked, deck is spectacular to hang out on. It would be pretty tight for more than 2 people. River access is app. 50 feet straight down, so don’t expect easy access directly in front of cabin. There has been a great deal of new landscaping that will aid in privacy , but not for a few years. Host was responsive and helpful. A bald eagle regularly cruises the river hunting right out front so bring binoculars. Hiking seems to all be about 20 minutes away.
