We stayed here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was truly a beautiful experience. Everything was lovely—from the view to the hot tub—and the place was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We were able to fully relax and disconnect. We would definitely come back. 🤍🏔️

I stayed at Tony's place a few weeks prior, so not an elaborate review this time around except to say having done so, communication is amazing and consistent, and every wonderful thing about this place, accuracy, communication, cleanliness, etc. was still equally wonderful as our other 2 stays. And the full super moon in the hot tub was so bright and awesome! Really enjoyed the book shop in town, very well done. We hope to be back in the fall.

Our stay at the yurt was amazing! The property is so peaceful and tucked away it was exactly what we needed and wanted for a little Christmas getaway! My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Tony’s yurt. It was a great experience! We got there late Thursday evening so we initially passed the yurt (our fault) so get there during the day because it gets DARK and dark FAST. The pictures look exactly what the place looks like. The yurt had all the essentials even down the body wash and makeup wipes! If you forget firewood like we did, go to the Garden Market. Fired wood is a dollar a piece. There are a couple places to eat and grocery stores and a coffee shop but not a whole lot. The hot tub and stargazing was amazing. WiFi cut in and out but not really a big deal. If you never stayed in a yurt, do it, but make sure it’s Tony’s place!

This place is such a gem and we already want to come back as soon as possible! So relaxing after a hectic holiday weekend with family. If you're looking to get off the grid for a bit, enjoy hot tub under so many stars, etc. this is the place! Yurt was clean, comfortable and cozy even in very freezing temps! Thanks so much for your hospitality! Tony was very responsive, supportive and attentive.

All the bonuses of camping in the woods, with all the luxuries of staying in a home. Very easy to find and so warm and toasty when we got inside. We had a blast and would love to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The roads were interesting getting up but we were prepared and it worked out! Making the yurt hotter was super helpful as it was very cold. Hot tub was great and enjoyed having coffee out there in the morning. Would definitely come back!

Had a great stay! The place was clean, cozy, and just like the pictures. The host was super nice and easy to communicate with. Everything went smoothly, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The yurt was really cool and unique! This place is spacious enough that we were able to let our baby crawl around for fun, and we were able to enjoy sitting in the living area with his books. The kitchen and bathroom had all the amenities we needed. There is a hot tub right on the front deck next to the entrance door, making it easily accessible. The fire pit is a little further down the hill behind the yurt, so be careful walking down the dirt/gravel path if it's dark out! When arriving to the yurt, be sure to drive extra careful and slower on the gravel driveway. There are a few small potholes to be on the lookout for. Tony as a host was responsive and accommodating, so you should have no issues communicating your questions and concerns to him. This was a wonderful family retreat for us to bring our little one to explore downtown Wardensville and snag a hike!

Tony's Yurt was amazing! Secluded like preferred, great views and the fire pit/ hot tub were everything we hoped it would be. Tony was very responsive with questions too, which eased us in situations. Perfect birthday get away 🙂 Will be back for sure!

The place was very cool! The surrounding area was beautiful. The people in wardensville were very nice and the stores in the town are great! Like a lot of other listings the sulfur smell from the water was present but it really wasn’t bad. The hot tub was amazing especially looking out into the mountains. I wish there was a bit more lighting in the drive way because it was getting eerily dark outside at night. I didnt realize the fire pit was down a steep incline so I was not able to use it or see it. This trip was great definitely peaceful and nice to relax in the mountains! Don’t forget to check out the local places they really are fantastic!

This was a spontaneous trip that we took to WV, and completely fell in love with the location and the scenery. We appreciated the very responsive team and Tony for making this trip very care-free and relaxing!

The yurt and property were exactly as pictured and we couldn't have been happier with the location, cleanliness and privacy. The yurt had everything we needed. There is just enough to do in Wardensville and surrounding areas to encourage a relaxing getaway. While we didn't require much interaction with Tony, he was extremely responsive and informative. We are excited to book another future trip through Tony.

Loved the place. It was really great and Tony was very communicative. There is quite nice hiking and exploring in the area, and we took some of the restaurant recommendations from Tony which were delicious. We also made good use of the grill and hot tub. We will likely be back!

Amazing getaway! Memorable moments were the campfire, and watching the shooting stars from the hot tub. So romantic. And Tony’s recommendations for Drifter’s Cafe and Wordplay Bookstore were perfect. We bought a few games and had a nice healthy lunch there.

If you've never stayed in a Yurt... you should try this one out! What a unique experience in such a beautiful, serene setting. The house is comfortable and clean, and the location offers both adventurous excursions to nearby attractions for those who want to venture out or a variety of fun and engaging activities for those who choose to stay put. It provided the perfect backdrop for a special family weekend, but would be equally relaxing for a couple's getaway. Tony was immediate to respond and very helpful. We highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay at the Yurt and would definitely return. The space was clean, cozy, and well-kept. Tony was responsive and recommended local attractions. Highlights included: • Stargazing from the hot tub and deck—the telescope provided by the host was a delightful and unexpected touch. • The sound of rain inside the yurt. • Quality linens and strong water pressure. • The water has a slight sulfur smell but it was milder than expected after reading other reviews; just bring your own drinking water. • The nearby town of Lost River felt welcoming and friendly, with a warm community spirit we really enjoyed. • The firepit lighting created a dreamy, cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxing evenings. Important to know: the property is not waterfront as described, and access to the river is limited and somewhat challenging. Despite that, we had a wonderful stay and recommend it for travelers who aren’t set on easy waterfront access.

Absolutely wonderful stay here in Wardensville, WV. Tony was an incredibly responsive, kind and generous host. The location is amazing with a great view from the fire pit, the hot tub was perfect, he includes a ton of condiments and smores ingredients!!! and the home was immaculately clean. Not by fault of the host, most likely just the location, the well water that runs to this yurt is high in sulfuric acid giving it a rancid rotten egg smell that came through every faucet, the fire pit lights didn’t work and the WiFi was spotty. Not so much an issue for me because I desired to unplug on this trip. Tony was very proactive and thoughtful providing another night stay for a discounted rate since no one checked in after me for the next two days to make amends to those minor inconveniences.

I really did enjoy my stay- at first at least! The water provided was advertised as well water and I'm glad that we brought our own because the water had a very eggy smell to it that you could taste even when brushing your teeth- not so fresh :/ I could over look that! The area was beautiful and we made use of the kitchen, had a hot shower at the end of the night and the hot tub worked fine too! The fairy lights were not working which was a disappointment to be at the fire-pit because we couldn't see anything. What made the stay bad, was being held responsible for "damages" that were not my fault or not my problem! If you want to pay for using their towels, and want to claim additional damages as your own, like a ripped rug or flimsy can, I'd definitely recommend you staying here! I never write anyone bad reviews, but it's unfair to be charged for things i didn't do! I shouldn't have to worry about taking photos of the place before I leave to ensure I'm not incriminated!

We enjoyed an amazing holiday weekend in the yurt. The yurt was clean, well stocked with amenities- towels, pillows, blankets, and is very private and secluded. The hot tub was great to hop into in the evening. The firepit and grill were great to have and use as well. It is only about a 10 minute drive into Wardensville to explore local shops and restaurants. We drove about 30 minutes to Trout Lake Pond for some hiking and fishing. Tony was very communicative and answered any questions we had. It was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend retreat!

the space was clean and neighborhood was quiet. We bought all our water for cooking and drinking as the well water smelled (and tasted) like rotten eggs.

The Yurt was extremely relaxing and clean. When I arrived the groundskeep was dropping off a fresh container of propane for the grill so they definitely stay on top of the details.

Tony’s place was just as described and even more beautiful! Upon booking, he has two properties that piqued our interests and I was so happy that we went with the yurt. The hot tub, and fire pit were wonderful and the inside was spotless and had anything we could’ve needed. That being said, upon the changing seasons I cannot wait to stay at another one of his properties!

This was an amazing stay for us! Tony was extremely responsive and helped us fix a small issue very quickly. He provided a house manual with answers and info to absolutely everything. It was super convenient. The location is absolutely beautiful and the hot tub was very clean. We spent a lot of time outside just enjoying the fresh air. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. I would only recommend for future guest to bring an extension cord if they need their phones closer to them. The one thing we didn’t love was that the doors were glass and there was nothing to cover the doors. Granted there is no one around at all, but it is just a preference of ours to have the doors covered. Thank you so much to Tony and the team! We are already planning when we can come back.

Perfect for a weekend getaway! The place is beautiful and clean. The yurt is nestled in nature but easy to locate. The instructions are clear; Tony has also provided local recommendations that made it so much easier for us to find places to grab coffee and food. He was very responsive to our questions too. Hot tub in the light drizzle with the view of the mountains will be one of my favorite memories at this place. Would love to come back!

Couldn't have been more perfect. We wanted a quiet weekend away from DC, and thats exactly what we got! The yurt is beautiful! Incredibly spacious, and very well built. The bathroom and kitchen were the cleanest I've seen at an Air BnB. The property was very clean and so easy to find. All the instructions for finding the place and checking in were very thorough and detailed. The local places are amazing, we bought too many pieces from local artists. The view from the yurt was gorgeous, vast trees and mountains. The river access is very close and worth the wander. I can't think of one negative thing, or anything that wasn't perfect. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay at the Yurt. It’s great for relaxing and enjoying the nature. The hot tub was great! The walk to fire pit in the back is bit of a slope. We had a really nice dinner at Mack’s Bingo Kitchen which is only 10 mins drive. Bring your own drinking water.

The place was everything as mentioned, the fire pit with the lights were amazing! There is even a telescope for stargazing. The yurt was very clean, had all the necessary amenities and well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend staying here

The yurt was a perfect little getaway for my husband and me. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars and grilling on the deck. Inside they have it decorated nicely, and it was very cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it has a fairly large bathroom in it. The water does have a smell to it, but we made coffee with it, and it was fine you couldn't even tell. I would suggest bringing drinking water. The yurt is located between 2 roads and one of them is Corridor H, but it wasn't overly noisy unless someone was using their Jake brake. The last night there it was windy, and we were surprised by how well the yurt kept the wind out. Overall, we had a good stay and would stay again and recommend to others. It is not as secluded as I had hoped because they are putting in more yurts on the property so keep that in mind. The yurt is close to town, and they have a few cute shops we visited and its close to Warren Lake if you enjoy fishing, check that out!

The yurt is amazing! It is simple, clean, and stocked with everything you need for a nice visit. Tony’s instructions beforehand were super helpful and made check in and settling in easy. We cooked all our meals and were happy to find every pot, pan, and utensil we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars; it gets really dark there so the sky was full of stars. The remote location was great for relaxation. The heater worked great in the yurt, even in cold February. The water smells like sulphur, so we got bottled water to drink, but it wasn’t a problem at all for showers or washing dishes. This was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little getaway and relaxation.

The yurt and location was perfect, and the host was very responsive and nice! The first night, the heat didn’t work at all and it didn’t get fixed until the afternoon the next day so that was rough! It was freezing the first night! Also I suggest the host getting a water treatment system because the water smelled absolutely horrible! It was a real strong sulfur smell that is very similar to rotten eggs! We didn’t even want to shower or brush our teeth with the water available at the yurt! I understand the water in that area though smells like that but for good business I would suggest a water treatment system! Overall had a fun and relaxing weekend.

Beautiful no frills Yurt in the mountains! The space had all the basics, the town of Wardensville was adorable and lots of great hikes near by. Sitting in the hot tub on the clear night watching the star are lovely- and the rain on the yurt was peaceful! The walk down to the fire pit is very steep- be careful- and bring anything you want to cook with yourself!

This is a great spot. It is close to the highway but the noise isn't bad. The inside was very comfortable. There will be other units going in and it won't be as private.

We had a lovely stay at this yurt. It has all of the amenities of a house with the unique yurt experience. The firepit area was especially charming at night with the string lights. Its a 10 min drive to the nearby town which has a market you can get high quality food from, and we enjoyed Mack's Bingo kitchen for dinner. Its a 1.5 hour drive to Shenandoah National park so we did a day trip, and were back by nightfall for a soak in the hot tub. The only con was the location was closer to the highway then I realized beforehand. We could hear trucks going by especially during the night, so if you're a sensitive sleeper keep that in mind or bring a white noise machine.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It is such a beautiful place on beautiful property. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere yet it is easy and quick to get to restaurants and close to a state park for hiking.

Great place. We loved the open lay out and it was perfect. It had everything listed and everything we needed. The hot tub was the best we have ever had (and we always stay at places with hot tubs). Linens and bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was large, clean and modern. It was closer to town than I thought which was nice. It was secluded but the only (and very minor) negative is that there was another property being constructed right above us and there was some traffic and noise related to that. Overall we were very happy with our stay and the host was also wonderful. He answered questions right away and had great suggestions when we asked. Very professional and friendly.

We went away for our anniversary and it was perfect! The views are amazing. There’s nothing like watching the sun rise in the mountains while sitting in the hot tub 🙂 The yurt is very well built and carefully thought out. The bed was more comfortable than my own bed! Tony has thought about everything when it comes to a host. The house manual was very helpful! The town itself is very cute and the food was good everywhere we went. We’ll definitely book here again!

Amazing experience, I am a local to the area. We are having a home renovated and wanted a “local getaway” and this checked every box. The hot tub is the perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset, or the sunrise. The yurt had everything we need to grill out. Do NOT forget bug spray! Do NOT turn on the porch light at night, the bug will SWORM the door.

What a great place to go and disconnect from the rigors of life. Tony’s communication was amazing. Hot tub was wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Truly off the beaten path. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something unique and want to check out for a few days.

This is a beautiful oasis in West Virginia. Quiet and serene. Do not go here if you plan to stay connected or have a working vacation. That would be a total waste of this amazing retreat (and the wifi is a bit spotty). The nearby hiking at Lost River Park and Trout Pond Park was also very cool and enjoyable. Thanks to Tony and team for a wonderful time. I will definitely be back!
